What a fantastic find! In a lovely setting, there's a good sized car park. We had a really friendly welcome. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The menu was varied with a good vegetarian choice. It was all served in a timely manner and...was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely visit when I'm in the area again.More

Grateful to have found a table, decent enough food but in dire need of a refresh! The damp issues causing peeling paint & scruffy, dated toilets desperately need attention. Staff pleasent enough... shame managment aren't providing a working environment reflective of the food quality.

A beautiful dinner when visiting Norfolk on a family holiday! A lovely little pub offering great food, very tasty we would definitely return. The only downside was the smelly toilets, could do with a good clean.

We really enjoyed the food and service at this warm and welcoming establishment. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, and the prices were excellent. We will return on our next visit to Norfolk. Well done to all concerned.

Lovely little pub for Sunday lunch whilst holidaying in the area! Decor was nice, the restaurant was dog friendly and our Sunday lunch was delicious! The service was efficient but only slight negative would be that the staff were friendly to a point but not...very smiley or chatty! It’s always nice to get a nice chatty rapor going…. especially if you’re visiting on holiday! Just to have someone ask if you’re on holiday, where you’re staying, where you’ve come from etc! It definitely didn’t spoil our visit…. Just didn’t quite make it a 5* review! And we would go back again if staying in the area as our Sunday lunch was so good!More

Went yesterday. As I'm not normally a sunday lunch fan I had low expectations, however the meal was fantastic. Really nice pork, lots of veg and delicious gravy and a side of cauliflower cheese. My wife said the nut roast was equally as good...fantastic service...as well - thoroughly recommendedMore

Staying in the village so a great option if you don’t want to drive. We visited several times and had a great experience each time. Theres no bar seating as such but we were happy to have drinks at our table and had some really...good food. Main menu is varied and the specials were interesting too. Friendly staff happy to chat if it’s not busy and made our visits even better. Would highly recommend and would return but would be sure to book- some were turned away if they hadn’t done so.More

We first ate here on Saturday 6th April 24 and the food was absolutely outstanding. Literally faultless. We liked it so much we booked it again for the following night. Prices are maybe a little more expensive than some of the places in nearby Wells...but you get what you pay for. Absolute quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. Staff were very knowledgeable and would return to this area for the food alone. One of the best pubs we have ever eaten in. Thank you all!More

Although we hadn't reserved a table for our first visit we arrived just after 12 and we were fortunate to be offered a table for two by the bar. The service was great and the meal excellent - plus good real ale on tap -...so we made sure to book for our visit the following Saturday. Once again both meal and service were excellent. Although an excellent place to eat this establishment still has that cosy feel of a traditional pub. Well worth the short bus trip from Wells: we'll be back.More

We visited north Norfolk last year and loved our meal at the Carpenters Arms and we knew we had to come back this year! This meal was just as good. The food was delicious, service attentive and pub interior cosy and comfortable. We cannot recommend...the pub enough! We look forward to returning soon.More

Some of our party had a beef roast dinner on a Sunday evening. It was rather disappointing as the roast potatoes were very hard and the some of the meat was tough. I think it all had been kept warm since lunchtime. However the mussel...and smoked haddock chowder was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful.More
