The food is excellent to an acceptable price and Jean is a great host. Every time when we are on the island we lunch and dine several times in Le Taitu.

This is a good quality restaurant with good food, adequate service and atmosphere, and reasonable prices. There are typically Prix-fixe options which are a good value. We particularly enjoyed the spaghetti bolognese the night we were there. Other good options are the dishes with some local flavor. Service is pleasant and unobtrusive and a bit distant. This restaurant has plenty... More

Been here several times before and the food is always good. The owner is very friendly. The only small footnote I would like to make is about the opening hours. They seem somewhat random.

So we came across this little French Creole restaurant right as it was opening. No one was there yet and I thought maybe we should just drive by and eat elsewhere. I'm so glad we didn't. The restaurant is alfresco dining with a couple ceiling fans and one floor fan to keep air moving on a hot day. The interior... More

Fabulous ambience and very genial host. Food was all excellent and portion sizes just right. The prices were moderate by St Martin standards. We had goat curry x2, Mahi Mahi (pronounced my my) in creole sauce all from the specials menu; and creole chicken and kids chicken and chips (a la carte). A prix fixe menu was also available with... It's a bit off the main road, but absolutely worth it! Beware of the Taitu Special desert! The aged rum is extremely strong (you were warned...now try it, it was great!)

This was close by so we stopped in. Glad we did! Excellent creole fish. Wonderful sides and bread. Very kind and good service. Loved the outside feel and laid back vibe! Too full for dessert but would love to go back.

We have been coming to Le Taitu for dinner on every visit to St. Martin. Food is excellent and reasonable. They offer a price-fixed menu that has a few selections of main course and includes a dessert. Best food we had on the island this visit and less than we paid anyplace else. Highly recommend.
