We have been to this wonderfull resturant many, many times over the years. If anything it just keeps getting better. Under the leadership of its owner Jean, the food is always fresh, perfectly prepared and priced correctly. From the simple creole dishes to the over the top steaks with blue cheese sauce you will never be less than satisifed. This... More

Very good restaurant, excellent food, nice people, nice owner's story. Somehow hidden, but it is a treasure worth to be searched. It's like a piece of France cuisine in the Caribbean

We were staying in Grande Casse and got tired of the crowds and expensive restaurants, so wanted to try something different. After a Trip Advisor search we ended up in Cul de Sac at Taitu. The food was fabulous - my catfish in coconut cream was criped just nicely at the edges & the coconut sauce didn't overwhelm the fish,... More

If you want to eat the best of what the locals have in French St. Martin, try Taitu. The best is here and at a price you can afford but get Jean to explain to you what you are ordering. Some foods are different but always excellent.

We just returned from a wonderful week in St. Martin, where our greatest foodie find was Le Taitu, an open-air restaurant located in the hills of Cul de Sac on the French Side of the island. There were six in our dining party and each ordered differing appetizers and entrees. Every dish was splendid. The pricing was very reasonable compared... More

My husband and I got "lost" on St Martin and found a great place to eat. The open air restaurant was charming. The owner was friendly, helpful(especially in explaining the specials that were in French) and the food was delicious! I had the Conch stew and it was wonderful. So glad we got lost and found this place!

We have always eaten at least twice at leTaitu whenever [10+ years] we have come to St.Martin for a few days or a week. It has a relaxed open air ambience just off the beaten path. Intimate, the owner, John and his cook, provide both friendliness and very good food at very reasonable prices by St. Martin standards. His lunch... More

My Husband and I were coming back from loterie farm, and stopped because we really wanted some authentic french creole food. What I really liked was the prices were reasonable, and the owner was very warm and welcoming. The food was good and the atmosphere is quaint. What i really like is speaking to the owner, he really took the... More
