Rafted at nearby NOVA River Runners and came here for lunch. Newer building (actually a campground but not many campers there) with nice menu and clean bathrooms. There were hiking trails around back (picked blueberries, saw ptarmigans, viewed glacier from side). They even had a teeter-totter for the kids! Kids menu only for ages 6 or under (?). Burger and... This place is quaint and small. It really does have a grand view. They sell home made lip balm as well. I had my first salmon burger here with homemade dill sauce. Absolutely loved it.

If you're traveling the Glenn Highway coming or going to Anchorage, this is a great little place to stop for a break from the driving. It's between mile markers 110-111. We ended up stopping here 3 times on our travels to and from Valdez and back from Denali to Valdez (a separate trip). There is nothing else around for very... More

We stayed at one of the accompanying Tundra Rose Cottages and ate here after our amazing guided hike on the Matanuska glacier. They were willing to stay open late for us so we had a chance to eat dinner before heading to bed. The food was delicious, and it was lovely to be surrounded by mountains while eating. Everyone who... More

Thank you Sara, and we were happy to feed you a late dinner. I loved that you ate all the French Toast with berry butter before your husband got to taste it ! Sounds like something I would have done. It is one of my favorite breakfast items on the menu, and it really is hard to share . Ha!... More

We went to the cafe one evening while in Glacier View area. Nice cosy place, very friendly staff and most importantly great food. Deserts were great as well. We tried the fruits of the forest pie. Kids loved the lemonade as well.

Thank you for dining at Grand View while in the Glacier View area. Sounds like you were able to enjoy our pizzas, desserts and lemonade made on site from Real Lemons ( and sugar, of course ) :) Our Fruits of the Forest Pie has been a customer favorite since we opened in 1999. We saw this cafe and rv park while driving the Glenn Highway toward Anchorage. My wife wanted to stay here on the return as it is in a beautiful area and looked so clean and neat. I agreed, as long as she would agree to have dinner in the cafe. Neither of us was disappointed! Great views, great food, nice... More

The food (dinner and breakfast) tastes good and of good portion. It is not fancy, more like American comfort food: pizza, burger, fish/chip and etc. The staff are very nice.

We appreciate you taking the time to let others know and we are happy you found our staff kind. We also agree that our menu features comfort food using quality ingredients, so we have a little bit of something for everyone's taste. Locals all have a different favorite menu item, from pizza to the roast pork. Thank you, and we... More

We were not sure if this would be a good idea to be at an RV park in such a remote location but boy we were supersized to see such a nice RV park. They had a nice little cafe/lunch/dinner place and the best part was restrooms were extremely clean, the views of this place are amazing. The part to... More
