Nice rustic ‘pub’, light and airy (unlike some which are so dark you cannot see what you’re eating !!) with 3 rooms (I think) rather than just one big room. Front has the long bar with tables along and to each side and then there are 2 other smaller rooms just off this with tables & chairs for about another... More

Thank you to the staff at the Greyhound for a wonderful evening. The food was beautifully presented, interesting ingredients and tasted absolutely amazing. There was plenty of variation in the menu from good home cooking to quite exotic and the service was efficient and friendly. Can't wait to go back!

Thsre wasnt anything that i disliked about this restaurant/hotel. I stayed overnight a few times whilst on business trips and had incredible food, comfy bed, beautiful room and altogether fantastic stay. I would highly recommend to anyone and i am trying to find an excuse to be able to return :)

We spent two nights at this inn and found it to be an excellent place to stay. Our room was spotlessly clean with an ensuit only found in top class hotels. The breakfast was served by a very pleasent and polite member of staff and the food was excellent on both mornings. The manager asked on several occasions whether everything... More

We stayed overnight and also had dinner here - the owners are serious about this enterprise and it shows. Well invested pub with good service - dinner was very good with a decent choice and good quality. Not pub grub, more gastro pub in style. What was nice about the pub was that unlike a lot of these types of... More

Lovely cosy atmosphere, and very friendly welcome. Great menu and food was delicious - would particularly recommend the cheese and haddock souffle and the chocolate and brown butter ganache dessert! Staff all very friendly and great service.

Having cycled to this pub many times over the years we were extremely disappointed when it closed. Now that it has been completely refurbished and under new management we were amazed at the transformation. A wide variety of food served fresh by friendly staff in a warm atmosphere, the bar serving a good variety of local real ales that brought... More

This pub always tick the box. We went twice over the holiday season and despite the pub being very busy, we had excellent service and food. A game terrine was really delicious and obviously properly done by the chef. We had ordered it to compare with another other game terrine eaten at a gastropub in Buckinghamshire the week before, which... More

Lunchtime visit for a family celebration made very enjoyable by good quality, beautifully presented food at reasonable prices. One of our party was a vegan and as always had phoned the venue in advance. This doesn't always work out happily, but at the Greyhound she was offered a substantial main course with all ingredients listed, concocted especially for her. Service... More

I came here the day after Boxing Day with my family. We all had a starter, main and dessert and thought the food was delicious! I had the cheddar soufflé followed by the roast turkey and the banana cake. The staff are also incredibly polite and friendly. Would certainly return to this place and highly recommend it to anyone passing... More
