Went there for a dinner with family and friends.It was dark outside when we went to Tursi,couldn't see the view from the hills and the road to there is like county road,kind of difficult to find without gps. We visited this restaurant today for lunch. Food was ok, but certainly not excusing the prices. We have eaten much better food in south italy. We also had a misunderstanding with the waiter , who as we found out later, knew English but kept talking to us in Italian. He came to our table asking what kind of lunch did... More

You can taste tradition and creativity eating a fantastic cusine. You can enjoy original verses performed by the hotel manager and owner (and deeply lover of the site). Fantastic.

Our expectations were not high. Rambatana is outside Tursi and involves a beautiful drive of a few kilometres to a largely abandoned but beautiful village. This was a real find. The restaurant is tucked away on the highest part of Tursi, a remote town in Basilicata, well-known because it is the birth-place of a local poet in dialect Albino Pierro.
