We were a group of 51 (!!) who went for a lovely walk to Cley beach and then came back for a delicious lunch in The George. We had pre-ordered our meals In advance . (thank you Matthew and Ryan for talking through the options). The fish pie was the best ever tasted and my sea bass and crayfish salad... More

What an amazing pub. Came across this whilst driving through Cley, dog friendly which is great as we were able to sit inside with our little dogs. Have never had food like it - fresh, homemade and absolutely gorgeous. The handmade skinny fries were like nothing I'd ever tasted. Wish this pub was near where we lived as we'd be... More

We had a quick lunch at the George which we were impressed by and then returned for dinner the following day which was even nicer. Very good quality using local produce and good portion size. Service was quick and friendly.

We only stopped here for a drink on our way to Sheringham, but it was busy and the burgers in particular looked great.

We were looking for an alternative venue to eat dinner rather than our hotel. We chanced upon The George. It has a very tiny bar which looks as if it has been recently refurbished.they had home spiced nuts on offer which were delicious. We moved into the dining room to eat our meal, having had a few drinks in the... More

We feel there are 2 major problems with eating at the George Hotel. Firstly there was a commercial radio station playing throughout the dining room, not too loud but an unnecessary irritating intrusion, particularly the adverts! Secondly the 12.5% discretionary tip charge which is automatically added to the bill, when we asked if this was given to the staff we... More

We were two hungry cyclists, and there was little choice at the top end of the town to eat. So we plumped for The George, a plus point being that we could eat outside in the beer garden. Food prices were not cheap - mains were £12-16 per head, but we opted for the sandwich and chips, which was £9... More

What better for a quick lighter lunch than two starters. A scrummy Fish Chowder, lots of salmon and other fish, prawns and only a little potato (so often Chowder is bulked up with potato) with a creamy sauce. I followed this with a timbale of pulled pork with really crackly crackling. This was actually more like Ham Hock but delicious.... More

We stayed for one night as part of my birthday celebrations in the middle of March. The welcome we received upon arrival was very friendly and informative. Our large room overlooked Cley Marsh so the view was spectacular. The room was very clean well furnished and equipped with a super comfy bed but the bathroom, although very clean, was a... More
