No if your looking for excellent food in stunning surroundings with lovely staff and all at a very good price then this is the place. It can get very busy so don't think you will be in & out in half an hour but it is well worth the wait. The seafood dishes are unreal and the pasta is like... More

Dropped in for a pit stop but found the food lovely and the staff helpful and friendly, though they were surprised that we only wanted a sandwich and a coffee.

We were looking for a nice tea and found it. The staff were very hospitable, there was a choice of teas and a wide spread of cakes. Both tea and cakes were delicious. Price was high but so is everything in Venice. Highly recommended.

It is a nice location and the food and cafe are very good - it's just the service that is far from nice. Everything seems to be a burden. No smiles. No nice conversation. Just business. And tourists pay more than locals. Not fair. Stay away I would recommend.

We ate 2 cakes at Le Cafe with 2 latte macchiato. The ricotta cake is excellent. Well located and easy to find. Good place to stand for a while and reasonable prices.

Nice little dinner with my husband - great calamari dish and he had a very nice pizza. The service was great however it is extremely busy so sometimes the waiter needed to be reminded we were there! Good Aperol Spritzers too!

Me and my boyfriend spent 2 nights of our 3 night holiday eating here the food was just out of this world. This waiting staff were so lovely, really helpful and patient. The meals were not only delicious but reasonably priced and presented well. One night we had pizza with a pudding and the second evening we had 3 courses,... More

After walking the streets of Venice from sight to sight we stumbled across the bustling le café and had a very pleasant lunch which was quite reasonably priced.

Good location. Very friendly staff. Excellent service. Good food and drinks. Not much more to say - just a lovely place to take a pit-stop whilst seeing the sights.

Thank David B

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
