We have bars within walking distance of where we live but we're more than happy to drive 10 kilometres to have a drink at Le Monseg.

I do not believe that the Monseg serves in-house food. Friday night the fish and chip van sits outside and is very good. Saturday night Raphael is there with her pizza truck on the other side of the square with the best pizza in this...area. Market day is Friday so lots of food tidbits to munch on with beer or wine or mixed drinks. This bar has a terrific atmosphere. The decor inside is fascinating. A big sports bar for football(soccer) and rugby. You can sit inside or outside weather depending. As Herb Caen said "you reach a certain age and ask yourself where are you going? And when you get there will the bars be open?" There are three bars in Monsegur hopefully one will be open. The service is very stoic French. Pay for drinks by the round. Good value and a good place.More
And the fourth it was closed. Good for a few beers and watching the world go about its business. Fairly friendly crowd and the service was good. Recommended!
Authentic next-to-the-market French bar. Get your Pastis 51 (cinquante et un) here and "be French" Alors!
Was going to eat here but staff were not as attentive as other places we visited so passed it by and didn't regret it
Popped in for coffee with some family whilst exploring the market. Wasn't anything remarkable, service was quite abrupt.
Very friendly hosts and a popular watering hole for both French and English, particularly on Friday market. The service can be slow when full, but so is the pace of life down here in SW France. Good beer and local wine at reasonable prices. Well...worth a visit for a coffee or apero.More
Located on the square in Monsegur we only visited for a few beers, not to stay. They offered Leffe and Stella on tap and a selection of bottled beers and ciders. Staff were friendly and helpful and the outside seating is always pleasant. Toilet looks...like something from trainspotting.More
1st class chambre d'hote. Fabulous room, great breakfast, fantastic value. Stayed for one night, would have stayed longer, but friends invited us to stay with them instead. Without doubt a most pleasant surprise, you will not regret spending time here.
