Nice outdoor (not fancy) eating in this quiet square (not the main one). Service ranged from friendly to frosty depending on who came out. Great soup, small but tasty choice of salads, lovely juicy faux filet and fab frites, massive choice of cheeses and light...but creamy crème brûlée plus wine for 15 euro. Ideal for lunch but plan time for a siesta after - not small portions!More

This was our first visit to this atmospheric but unpretentious restaurant (part of a family-run hotel). We were well looked after by a charming young man (the son of the owners), despite how buzzingly busy the place was on this lunchtime. We were a very...fussy and difficult party of 4, yet he dealt with all our fads and fancies very professionally (and by the way, spoke excellent English). The food was fairly basic French cuisine (which we had expected) and was well-cooked, well-presented and very delicious. No complaints from 4 very fussy people. Plus, fantastic value for money.More

Went here with local friends after a stroll along the Garonne to build up an appetite. Delicious. Exceptional value. Soup. Saucisson/creamed mushrooms/crudités. Steak/confit chicken/pork in mushroom sauce. Cheese. Apple donut/ice cream. Pitcher of red wine. First class, down to earth, old fashioned French food, served...without fuss very efficiently. Not haute cuisine, and all the better for it. Go!More

I cannot say enough good things about this lovely restaurant. It isn’t the smartest place where we have eaten, but it is certainly one of the restaurants where we have had the kindest welcome and where we really enjoyed the food. On a hot August...lunchtime it was almost full when we arrived, but a space was made for us in the shade and we went on to enjoy five lovely courses, all served with a smile - and all at 14€ per person with wine! Definitely one to recommend.More

We have eaten at les Tilleuls a number of times over the years but have not visited for two or three. That is our loss. I cannot believe the quality and value of the Monday to Saturday lunch. The total bill for a five course...lunch including wine, coffee and service was €58. The welcome and service was first rate. The choices at each course were good. The food was well presented and the flavour were well balanced. The unlimited wine, although quite your and basic complemented the food well. The value for money was outstanding. We will be spending more time in the area in future and look forward to many visits.More

We have been lunching at Les Tilleuls for many years and have never been disappointed. Family run by Nellie, Yannick and their son Julian who offer a good menu with several choices for starters, main course and desserts. There is always home cooked food on...offer and for 13€ for 5-courses including wine, plus 1€ for an espresso, what is there not to like? We always leave very content and full up. Service is excellent too.More

We live here and frequently visit Les Tilleuls, either on our own or with family and friends. It is wonderful value for money, 5 courses plus wine for 13 euros. Inside it has basic French character, full of locals particularly after Friday market. The food...is fresh and well cooked and the service is friendly. In summer there are tables in the small square under the shade of the lime trees from which it takes its name, and ideal for children. If you want local colour rather than smart restaurants with overpriced wine lists this is the place.More

We eat there often. It's not Michelin Star territory, just good honest home cooking with fresh ingredients and efficient friendly service. Ambience is fairly basic indoors, but outdoor tables in the summer are good. At €13 for five courses including vino it can't be faulted....A favourite for worker's lunches - it's often full.More

Sitting in a square, under the shade of an umbrella, the wine came first. Then the soup. Delicious. Then the next course and the next and the next, surely no more and than the next. Still not the end. Then it was marinated plumbs with...the coffee. Recover and have a nap before driving; or let the person who didn't taste the plumbs drive.More

5 course lunch with wine for less than 13€..... Fantastic value and food excellent. Soup to start with choice of entree followed by choice of main course , cheese ,dessert and coffee. Then to cap it all figs soaked in brandy. How they do it...for this price I have no idea. Unlikely to get a better value meal anywhere.More
