great restaurant, not pretentious but real good on local fare. Cook/owner in the kitchen, his wife waiting all tables. Traditional French country food at reasonable price in a typical setting. Home made foie gras, meat cooked in the fire place, good local fresh fishes. Good wine selection, great Chateau Vieux Pujols 2020 at a good price. I have been several time , never disappointed.

The three of us ate in there on a Wednesday evening, it was quite , only one other table occupied. A shame , this restaurant deserves more customers. We had the €27 menu , nice starter, main: very good meat and a creme brulee for dessert. We started with 2 Pastis and 1 Port , they charged €21 for that, a bit steep, however the wine , a good Pecharmant for €25 was worth the money.

People looking for perfection, move on!! Here, a couple takes care of you, Mrs. serving and Mr. in the kitchen. Everything is homemade, including the desserts. So sometimes, the presentation, the service, the decor can be random but it's always very good. The restaurant doesn't look like much and is bathed in its juices but hey, we had a pleasant evening and we ate well.

We were a group of nine couples staying at a chateau close to this restaurant. Our host recommended the restaurant to us. Given we were such a large group, the couple that own this restaurant managed to look after us extremely well, as well as other guests. We started on the terrace with drinks and nibbles and then moved inside for dinner, which was four courses. I had, the pea soup, snails (something new for me), fish and profiteroles. While my husband had the pork. Everything was perfect. We definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone staying in the area. Our thanks to our hosts for looking after us so well and always with a smile.

We had a lovely meal. A daring French entree with organ meat. You have to dare. It was really nice. For main course they grill on the fire place . The auberge was what you want to see in France.

This tiny restaurant tucked off the main drag is a great find. Very rural French and very traditional. Good value, set lunch and its honest, tasty country gastronomy. Enjoy the house wine as you attempt to do justice to four courses. Best to book, as it's not a big place!

We are staying nearby and have been meaning to try for two weeks now. Finally we made it for lunch. The couple who run the place are lovely and we had fun trying to understand one another. We managed and had a terrific set course lunch. Traditional fare that is honest, full of flavour and not overly expensive. We sat outside in a small al-fresco area. A must try and we look forward to going back.

We did not eat at the Auberge. However we stayed close by and struggled to find any store that was opened on a Sunday. We walked in to find assistance and the host graciously offered to sell us some pâté and wines as all stores were closed. She even gave us some bread. She had such a great personality! Quaint little auberge. I wish we would have stopped to eat there.

Five of us turn up on spec on a busy Friday lunchtime. Made very welcome. Shoehorned in somehow, told what we were going to eat (!) and enjoyed it all. It doesn't really matter what it was, it included charcuterie, soup, grilled sardines, salads etc and some kind of tart - you just know that they are going to do this kind of thing brilliantly. It was delicious and I hesitate to say cheap or good value in case I convey the wrong impression but I'm sure the bill, including two bottles of wine was less than €80.

We had an excellent lunch - genuine, home cooked food - for an unbelievable €13 each. The dining room is cosy and the atmosphere friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

A fantastic restaurant for lunch or dinner. They do a super 12€ lunch which is five rustic courses including a bottle of wine. There is also a 24.50€ five course lunch which is even better! Highly recommended.
