My partner and I both chose fish dishes from the specialities which were beautiful (and big portions!) The staff were all nice and service was good. Sadly it wasn’t busy, but none of the restaurants we walked past seemed to have anyone in them.. maybe...the time of year! The food was delicious and one of the best fish dishes I’ve had. I would recommend.More

We were really looking forward to a meal here after reading some excellent reviews and a long day of snorkelling. On arrival the restaurant was practically empty but after looking at the menu we proceeded to sit down and some really good food on the...menu. Appeared to be an inconvenience to staff as little attention to guests. On ordering it appeared they had little food/drink in stock and a poor young lad repeatedly cycled to the shop and returned with food/drinks for customers to fulfil their order. Food arrived dry and not very tasty considering the price we paid - would not recommendMore

This was an excellent restaurant, not the cheapest on the Island but well worth it. I had the Tuna crunch which was excellent, so very tasty. The cocktails were nice as well. Would 100% recommend a visit.

After an outing with new friends we decided to try this place. The homemade pizzas were delicious although the service was slow and very unprofessional . They took ages to sort out the bill and I would think twice about returning.

A friend and I ate dinner at the Endemic Turtle. Since they had an outdoor pizza oven, I ordered a pizza - ham, ground beef, pepperoni and a few others. I remember mostly the meat, because the pizza was undercooked - particularly the meat -...no singe-marks on it, and the mozzarella hadn't been allowed to bubble yet. Like it had been cooked on low heat. I had a few pieces of a medium but picked off a fair amount of the unappetizing meat and left over half. As an American, I suppose I could be spoiled on 'decent' pizza. Its not hard. The pina coladas, however were quite excellent, and we returned a few days later simply for the pina coladas. We ate somewhere else.More

The first time I age there, they refused to give me a glass of water, while I was waiting for pizza. "We have potable water only for our staff, you have to buy a bottle". It was a long wait for pizza, which turned out...quite OK and even priced normally, by the Isabela standards. So was a $3+ small bottle of coke, The rest of the menu looked as if it were for the 1st class restaurant, which that Tortuga clearly was not. A bunch of waiters talking to one another at the entrance,, paying no attention to the clients sitting on the terrace or inside. An indefinitely long time it took for them to produce a proper invoice, a 12% charge for paying with credit card, no potable water for paying clients - no, no class, just a rip off. I was about to give that restaurant one more try - it was close to my hotel and I was too tired to walk much further. And it still was very hot and I was thirsty, Before even sitting down at the offered table, I asked for a glass of water right away. When I heard "we have water only in bottle", I left, much more energetically than I thought myself capable. I do not know who wrote them all those good recommendations, but assume that most of them were for pizza. Not many good restaurants at this beautiful island, no, but a few are priced as if they had some Michelin stars :(More

We stayed for three nights in Puerto Villamil and on our first night went for dinner at the Endemic Turtle - we had some of the best food in our 2.5 weeks in the Galapagos. My vegetarian falafel burger was soooo good, and my husband...had meat dishes which were also delicious. Stupidly, on our second night, we tried a different place, on the central square, which was a total let-down. We made sure to return to the Endemic Turtle on the third night! A special thanks to the staff, especially to our waiter - he made us feel very welcome and it was superfun to chat with him. We loved the Endemic Turtle and would definitely recommend it.More

Easy to find near the center square of the tiny town. The menu is a surprise fusion of South American tastes. Price is OK, certainly on the expensive side, dishes work out to around 20-25$ with a few cheaper options. The pizza was quite good...and fresh using proper ingredients. Given constraints of being at the end of the world, we were impressed. A large pizza will feed 3-4 people and is probably the best deal on the menu. The olive octopus and grilled octopus dishes could be served anywhere (eg New York, Tokyo) and fit in well. Very tasty and served elegantly. Reasonably good ceviche though it lacks fire from chilis that seems characteristic to Ecuadorean cuisine. All in all, highly recommended.More

The food here was good quality and tasty but the service was shocking. We ate here with a group of friends and the main waitor, a tall man with glasses had no manners. The way he spoke to my friends, myself and worst of all...his colleague (smaller man behind the bar who was great) was appalling. He was so rude and had terrible body language. He ruined the experience for us. I would not recommend to anyone.More

One of the most memorable meals we had during our 10 day Galapagos adventure, due to the great food and Carlos. It was a late afternoon when we arrived after snorkeling all day.

We got these nice folks to deliver the pizza to our hotel so we didn't have to wait for it. The pizza was pretty good. The best part is we got to enjoy it on our patio with the ocean view.

Ate here, had pizza and salad, pizza was huge and tasty, staff really pleasant and kept the drinks coming. The terrace outside is really pleasant whilst inside can cater for large groups. Definitely worth checking out.

Average meal and slightly overpriced. We tried it out because it had good reviews. I would rate it simply as average. They had things for the kids to eat but nothing special. Try the restaurants in the middle of town instead. Better choices at better...pricesMore

We have been to the restaurant twice during our stay. The first night we just ordered 2 pizzas to go. Good thing our hotel was very close by because I had to return 3 times until the pizzas were finally done because the waiter told...me to come back 20 min later three times because they were not ready yet. On the other hand the food was very delicious so we gave it another try on the other day. We got greeted and served by the exact same waiter who all in all was friendly but in a weird way. Most of the time he made some jokes which were mildly inappropriate and we are usually quite tolerant. Good food, great pizzas but only 4* because of the service.More
