The table was booked for a special birthday treat and going on reputation I thought we were in for a treat. The starters were good but nothing special but the problems started with the mains. A pheasant Breast was woefully over cooked to the point of toughness with no sign of pink as it should gave been. The lamb although... More

Our two recent visits to this restaurant have been very disappointing, and, after last night we will not be returning. What a change from Spring, 2016. Maybe it was the Chef's night off, but there were only two other tables occupied in the restaurant , so no excuse for slow service or very average food. Very sad, but we will... More

We were staying nearby and booked a table for a Friday night. Very glad that we did! The Falcon has been the Good Pub Guide Northamptonshire Dining Pub of the Year many times, and we can see why. The bar is relaxed and the beer good. They sell champagne by the glass. We ate in the conservatory which was pleasantly... More

We were warmly greeted on our arrival, but two couples in front of us had to be served at the bar before us. Cheerful staff soon rectified that and we proceeded to the restaurant We orders the pork platter for two and the seafood platter, also for two. The latter was of good quality, but the meat platter was very... More

I have been to The Falcon for many meals over the years, in fact I would say I eat here once a fortnight, and never have I had a bad meal. The food is delicious, service is prompt and the choice of both drink and food is vast and forever changing, whilst still, the favourites are retained. The Falcon is... More

Good food, excellent ales, and service with a smile, it leant to an excellent atmosphere when I stopped off for lunch last summer, adding to a good day out.

Having just visited The Falcon Inn I feel that I must write a review on the service. We arrived at 1.10pm (going by their clock, approximately 25minutes fast), waitress at the bar gave us a menu, we ordered a couple of coffees and waited. The coffee arrived having waited about ten minutes, while we were waiting we made our choice... More

A friend and myself visited the Falcon for an impromptu Thursday lunch, and we were so pleased we did. I have known this establishment for many years and have always enjoyed the cosy atmosphere, good service and food. We chose to share the fish platter which was one of the dishes of the day, and it was absolutely delicious with... More
