Visited the pub with my mother for lunch in November 2016. We ordered tea, soup and sandwiches to sustain us before seeking out the 9 Stones site. The food was good enough, and not too expensive, but they didn't have available everything on their menu, though, as per the server, they were waiting on a weekly delivery truck. I liked... More

We visited this pub last Wednesday on our travels, we were early (12 noon) and were not surprised to find the place empty. We enquired if they were serving food to be told that it was a carvery that day or jacket potatoes or panini. Despite being surprised we opted for a roast, nice treat on a weekday. Well, we... More

After traveling for a long time, came upon this pub, serving food, ordered meal and drinks! After a while barman came and told us that they had NO WINE of any sort!! changed this for a diet coke, which was warm and flat. Meal not much better. Dogs wandering around in "restaurant" area Given one star as there isn't anything... More

Sunday lunch for us, is becoming an 'eating out' experience. We want the Sunday dinner, but not the work involved. Arthritis in our hands take the pleasure away from the meal. So we visited the Coach & Horses. We were last here several years ago. It's now changed hands and appears tobe run by a very enthusiastic family! We chose... More

After spending the day in weymouth, we stopped at the coach and horse in wilmington , we were greeted by someone at the bar, we asked for a table for five people, he replied he would go and find us a table.... we were left stood by the waiting area that was dull, shabby and filthy, ... after a few... Stopped on the way home to Devon from a day in Portsmouth. Plenty of parking, and the inside is huge. Food comprises usual pub basics and a few specials. Ordered sirloin and chips and gammon and salad. Steak was a little tough to my mind but edible, and tasted fine. I wasn't about to complain at £13.95 though. Gammon was... More

This was a convenient place to stop for lunch yesterday. Four hungry people, we waited 40 minutes for our meals which arrived warm, not piping hot. When mentioned to 2 of the staff the only response was a shrug of the shoulder. We weren't expecting a fine dining experience, just a plain simple pub lunch. We ordered 2 fish and... More

We stopped here Friday lunchtime on our way to Cornwall. It was not very busy therefore lacked atmosphere. It is a large pub. The food was good and the portions very large. Good value. The Dorsetucky Chicken is a treat. Excellent chips. My wife's ham egg and chips had thick wedges of hand carved ham. This really is a large... More

This is the 2nd time we have been here over the last few months. Food is great!! Value for money. Obviously someone has been upset in the past and are trying to damage the rep on here. These guys are amazing and go above and beyond for us and our learning difficulties group. Fab Carvery serving lamb, pork and beef.... More

Having read some of the reviews I think I may have visited a different pub, the staff are very welcoming and the locals are very friendly best pub I've been to, the home cut chips were fantastic and the butchers sausages were delicious!
