Really great food. We shared a great curry and some great bread (easier said than found in Central America). We've recommended to friends who've visited since and only heard good reports. That's for the great food!

What a great little restaurant. The food was yummo. We had the chilli con carne, potato and chickpea curry and finished off with plain old ice cream. The chilli is close to the best I have tasted anywhere, and the curry was so nice and dry. Would love to have the time to come back here, but unfortunately we found... More

Ate here a few times. Good variety of dishes. Very tasty curries. Veggie lasagne also great. Nice place to stop and relax on Ometepe.

The food here is absolutely delicious. So many options, locally sourced, fresh and healthy. We art there basically every meal for the 4 days that we were in Balgue, and were never disappointed. I loved the smoothies and the brownies the most. But the curries, salads, guacamole, and breakfasts were to die for! I'm going to miss Ometepe mostly because... More

I can't say enough good things about campestre. Ate here after we hiked Maderas, the food was fresh, flavorful, and a mastery of Indian cuisine. The restaurant itself was clean and very cool. Spices are for purchase as well. I still use the turmeric I bought here. It's bright and delicious. If you eat anywhere make sure you eat here... More

Great food. Reasonably priced. Locally farm grown produce. Home made bread that doesn't leave you feeling heavy. Good portion sizes. Good coffee and juice. Melbourne standard of food in Nicaragua.

Maybe the best food we have had so far during our trip in Central America. We were lucky to be there on sunday because of their special sunday grill menu. I had the grilled vegetables and the plate included mashed potatos, grilled plantain, rice, grilled pesto bread and grill vegetable skewer. Definitely worth a visit.

Stopped here after kayaking nearby - it was definitely worth the trip from the other side of the island. The sandwiches were really good - I had the fresh hummus and vegetable while my husband had a BLT - which after a few weeks without bacon was a welcome treat! We enjoyed sitting watching the world go by for a... More
