We built our own tasting menu based exclusively on starters, with the help of s kind and knowledgeable waiter. The fish kubbe nayeh and the shishbarak were elegant modern interpretations of traditional middle eastern dishes while the red tuna sashimi and the scallops were fabulously crafted to add a local touch to these more international dishes. The dishes were beautifully presented and the flavours were precise and accentuated by the herbal and fruit-based pastes that accompanied the main ingredients. A lovely and generously sized leaf salad was a perfect companion for the meal . A heavenly halwat al giben was our choice for dessert.

This is great ambiance with excellent service. Each dish was memorable and the waiter was helpful in selecting. The dishes are unique and gourmet and yet recognizable and so many appetizers snd main courses to choose from.

Food: 5 big stars Service: 3 stars My wife, my grown up daughter and I shared 4 starters: tabouleh, fish kubbeh, another kind of kubbeh and shishbarak (ravioli-like pasta stuffed with lamb and pinenut). These were all beautiful with excellent taste and very different from the mediterrainian food we have tried other places in Israel. For main course we shared a sea bass filet, chicken skewers and lamb chops. Again we were blown away by the tasteful food and had no suggestions at all to how the food could be better. All full we decided to skip dessert, but the waiter persuaded us to share a dessert, Beiruth Nights , made from semolina pudding, whipped mascarpone cream, pistachios and saffron scented honey. Wow, a perfect not to sweet dessert. The service was not close to the level of the kitchen. The young waiters that served us were not very attentive, didn’t know anything about the wines (not even the Israeli wines) and didn’t understand when to bring more water or remowe empty glasses and so on. But they tried their best and were welcoming. So all in all, we will without doubt eat at this restaurant next time we get the chance. And next time again…

Lovely restaurant with above average food however they need to improve how they handle food allergens. A member of our party has a nut allergy and clearly communicated this to our server. She ordered a ceviche appetizer and with one bite clearly detected nuts. Pistachio nuts were not included in the description in the menu. The manager quickly came over and became our server but certainly ruined what was supposed to be a special dinner. All common allergens need to be included in the menu description and better training of servers. We did have Arabic and Hebrew speakers so it was not a language issue.

Wonderful food, wide choices. I could have just completed my meal by choosing from the starters, they were so good. Food beautifully presented and tasted divine. It is a large restaurant, quite noisy, but the food make you forget this.

I was here with friend for a birthday dinner (not mine ). A spacious restaurant with lovely atmosphere and even when full you do not feel it. food is excellent from starters through main course through dessert, every dish is beautifully prepared and the flavors are amazing. I had the Black Sea risotto, I cleaned my plate and loved every bite of it.

When traveling around the world it’s not often you find a place like this. I’m from Copenhagen and therefore I am hard to impress. I love Israel and their salatim pita falafel and more. But on the fine dine food scene they have been a bit behind Scandinavia for some years. So entering this place I was very sceptic. But wau the food was so good. I recommend you all to order every single thing from the starters menu. All those dishes were so amazing. And good enough for me to wanna go back the day after. I only had 1 main course because we ordered so many starters. It was good also but the starters are on a whole other level. Desserts was also over average. But please don’t go there without trying all the starters 🎉🎉🎉🎉 will decently come back Ohh and the service. The service was really good. Never before have I seen a waiter keep an track on what plates we have on our table crossing it off his list from when he took the order. Very professional 🔥🎉🎉🎉

The restaurant was packed with diners — all not wearing masks. Trying to be Covid safe for us and our two kids, we asked to sit in the patio outside, where there were numerous tables, and a family of four were dining. Our very kind waiter to us that the owner refused to let us dine outside, even though other people were dining outside. We then said we didn’t need service— we could order the food for take away, and simply eat on the outside patio. Owner said no to that too. Having no options, and in a town we’d never been to, we got the takeaway and ended up eating at a table we found in a nearby minimal in front of a grocery store. Our waiter was very kind under difficult circumstances, but this was a fail in terms of hospitality and basic kindness. The food, by the way, was good but definitely not worthy of the outstanding accolades it has received here.

My wife and I had planned a date night leaving the kids with their grandparents but our 10 year old was very disappointed so we relented and bought him to dinner at this wonderful restaurant. The food is a wonderful fusion of Arabic and international. There are a lot of vegetarian and fish choices as well as traditional meat dishes. There is a great cocktail and wine list. Although not listed on the menu, the waitress said that they had a chicken and French fries option which worked well for our 10 year old. The grown ups had more sophisticated dishes. The food was excellent and the service attentive. Hopefully the pictures speak for themselves!

Amazing food….menu was unique….server was rude. Requested tip in cash…didn’t run AMX—said our card was declined….but it was never run. When you go there—-enjoy the wonderful food…but beware of servers that are rude and not accommodating.

The place is very nice, with good service and atmosphere! The food is simply mediocre with Michelin star restaurant pricing. I don’t mind paying for good food but all dishes we tried were nothing special. We really wanted to like the place but overpaying for a herb salad, schnitzel (75 ILS!) or mushrooms plate kinda ruined the experience.

They brought main dish whilst I was still eating my salads. When it eventually came it was dried out and burnt. ( Sea Bass) guess they kept it warm !!!!! Desert was awful a semolina sugar thing !!! Place was noisy. Waste of money. Certainly not ‘gourmet’

Nice setting, by the sea of Galilée, a large dining room (unfortunately, this does not offer intimate tables), a very good wine list, and a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Most importantly, the food is very good. Oriental kitchen, with a bit of modern fusion, some classic arabic dishes revisited skilfully, one of the best restaurant (of this style) that I have done in Israel/Palestine so far (and I have done a few!)

Came to Magdalena resturant in order to celabrate my grandmothers 80th birthday. We booked their private room. The room was excellent: spacios, comfutable, beutiful in design and very clean. We felt great in it. The food was very delicious and they also had tastey vegan food! And above all, our service was fanomanale. We had one waitress who served us with a lot of love and joy. We felt really taken care of. Definatly recomend this resturant!.

A very stylish place to have dinner in the Tiberias region. We ate in Tiberias town on our first night and were underwhelmed with the food choices, so decided to head out to Migdal (15 minutes’ drive) to try something different. We were very glad we found this place. It was above a shopping mall so had free and easy parking and an elevator to take us upstairs. The food was delicious with middle eastern flavours and the decor and ambiance a lot fancier than we had expected. It was very busy with a lot of larger tables so we were slightly ignored with our small party of three, but still the food was great and it was a huge improvement on any restaurants we found in Tiberias. It is 5 minutes away from the ‘Yigal Allon Museum' to see the 2000 year old fishing boat, and the boat pier for cruises on the Sea of Galilee, so we did a sunset cruise on the lake before dinner which was a very nice experience (see Galilee Sailing Ltd).
