I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. I had a group of 17 clients to take out for dinner and I needed to give them an authentic Italian dining experience. Alberto and his team delivered exactly that. At incredible value we had a four course dinner that had all the variety and interest to keep my clients happy and engaged... More

What a wonderful treat! We had an incredibly delicious and locally sourced lunch, with very kind attention and amazing wine. The space is a wonderful mix of ancient with modern attention to details. Alberto himself graciously served us, and welcomed all our questions. He really helped us understand the local food traditions, and gave us the inside story to his... More

The ambience is great since it is basically an old cheese factory beautifully restored and appointed. The name instead, comes from the vernacular one given to the first barrel used in the production of balsamic vinegar. The menu boasts local dishes with a modern twist and the food is all handmade The wine list is comprehensive too but there is... More

We loved this place. To be honest it took a while to get there but once we did, it was completely worth it. It was perhaps our best meal in a very long time. Our best comparison is to our experience in Monaco at Joel Robuchon's restaurant. Cuisine is absolutely different but the quality, choice of ingredients, service and overall... More

Great ambiance and wonderful food. I was there on business so we had a tasting menu of all of the local specialities. The stories behind the dishes were just as good. I would definitely recommend this to anyone passing through this region.

After a recommendation from family of the agriturismo we were staying we were able to book a table on a busy Saturday night. What a great surprise this was! The food was lovely and the staff was very good. Attention to detail, lots of product knowledge and not sparing any time to talk to you about the food or wine... More

We went to this restaurant after high recommendation from a local. We knew this will be good. We were not disappointed. Food quality and taste were superb. Service was excellent. We learned from the staff about history of this restaurant and building, which was fascinating. They use freshest ingredients and that shows in every dish we tasted. If you happen... More

We found Ristorante Badessa after we had done both parmesan and balsamic vinegar tours in nearby areas. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were greeted with friendliness and family who has a clear passion for food. We were served table side by our waiter (part of the family who owns the restaurant) and he was incredibly kind... More
