We stayed in the suites and loved it. There is no nightlife as this area is WAY off the beaten path. Be prepared to relax and chill...bring a book

The Eco Lodge is quite a few kilometres down a dusty track and is in such a beautiful, remote location beside the stunningly beautiful Caribbean Sea. Beautiful beach. Bed and breakfast included- we upgraded to an EcoLodge as tents were cheap nylon- we would have...sweltered! Lodge was fabulous- water comes and goes but that’s fine. Very quiet midweek- they don’t speak English, except one lovely young girl or provide English on menu, so have translation as there is no internet there to use a translator. Stunning beach next door, Bahia dos Aguales. Boat price changed constantly- got it for 40 $ eventually! Dinner very good, quite expensive. Hard if vegetarian but can have pasta and salad/ fries. Maybe not friendliest place we stayed at but happy if you try Spanish!More

Great Beach, clean and cristal clear water and white sands. Nice view of the sea, good food and cocktails. And also you can go to Bahia de las Águilas Beach from there. If you go with a group try frito x2, it has great taste....It’s a long trip but you will enjoy it. I been there a year a half before and it has improve since. I recommend this place.More

With only arriving to this place, you feel immediately the peace and harmony. You hear soft beach music and you see a stunning landscape behind the bar. We were in the newly built junior suite and the bed was so comfortable that we slept through...the night and woke up with birds chirping. We loved that the shower was outside and the wet wood had an amazing smell. On the beach you can be only yourself, no disturbing tourists or vendors. I wished there was no phone signal at all, so you cannot get distracted with being on your phone.More

This was my Firts time in this beautiful place we went there to sleep in tents for the first time in front of the beach. We book VIP tents 3 of them to be exact. The breakfast was included. We got there in the night time!!...please if you go there you have to try to get there early because of the road.In the night time it's a lot of cows waking in the road.We drove from the capital Santo Domingo 5 hours 😅. It was worth it. At 11 PM lights are off. It's very dark there and to be honest we dint go camping ready lol.The workers leave home and we stay with the securities. They try to leave one of the lights on for us so we could play Dominos but the light was going on and off all night long. The tents could be really hot in night I suggest you if you go there to open the tents window so you could get some air. Its is so relaxing to sleep with the sound of the ocean. The breakfast is great. We book with them to go to Bahia de Las aguilas this will be my next review!! I recomend this place 100 it's worth it.More

The nature here is just fantastic. The beauty of the beaches and the ocean combined with its secluded location makes it truly a wonder to visit. The place in itself is really cute, and most of the staff are very friendly. The guys who take...you by boat to Bahia de las Águilas are super sweet. However, the service is not good at all. It took about an hour to get two salads when we arrived, and they were a big disappointment. The only positive thing were the shrimps, fresh and delicious. It took about an hour to get the dinner too. I ordered fried fish of the day, as one would think is quite delicious when you’re at the beach. However, I received something that reminded me of frozen fish of the lowest quality you can find in the supermarket. It wasn’t even warm. When we told the waiter, he was going to tell the kitchen. Nothing more happened, and we were too tired to pursue it. The next morning we waited an hour and a half for breakfast. We ate the Dominican breakfast, which at least was kind of warm. We stayed in a VIP tent, where there was sand everywhere. There was no lighting inside the tent, and no towels. When I asked about towels, I was asked to wait. After about 20 minutes I asked another employee, who informed us that towels were not included. We’d brought our own beach towels, so we had to use these after having showered. Not very pleasant. When we left the check was all wrong, and we had to list up what we had consumed. For some reason this took more than half an hour to sort out. We also told the guy in charge about the disappointing dinner, but nothing came out of it. To sum up people come to this place because of it’s natural beauty. It’s a true shame that the people running this place doesn’t care more for their costumers. The food is horrible, the service reeks of negligence and the management just doesn’t care. Add to this that everything takes way too much time (I imagine also by Dominican standards) and the annoyance is complete. We’ll never sleep here again, and while we love love love Bahia de las Aguilas we can unfortunately not recommend this place.More

Keep in mind that this is the page to review the restaurant in the hotel and not the hotel itself. For the hotel, look for Eco del Mar hotel. Food is okay but definitely not worth the prices they charge, unless you are paying for...the view- to the final price (not included in the menu price), you need to add about 50% for service charges. So it’s expensive if you take into account the prices that are normally charged in that area. Make sure to take repellent.More
