Excellent and interesting food , good service and pleasant surroundings - we had been waiting for this visit for at least three months and it didn't disappoint.

My wife took me here for my 59th birthday lunch - the service, food and wine were faultless. After lunch, we took a stroll around the magnificent grounds. All in all, a lovely afternoon.

Diners access is a walk via shingle drive, reception room slightly cramped, dinning table leg in way for 2 of party, waiters not 100% focused, too many menus, house wine a tad overpriced, food fair to middling food, at the very top end of one...More

We stayed one night and had afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast. We liked the gardens - wonderfully tranquil and situated in lovely countryside. Our room was (as one would expect) extremely comfortable and all meals were of a high standard in every respect.

We have eaten lunch here a few times, but treated ourselves to dinner recently with friends. We knew the garden would be looking lovely, which it was in August evening sunshine. Dinner was very special. The food was beautifully cooked and none of us found...More

From unhurried classical dining in our atmospheric wood panelled restaurant to leisurely lunches in the garden, from traditional Afternoon Teas to our very reasonable Table d’Hote menu – we hope to delight and enchant with our food regardless of the occasion. We are incredibly fortunate to have a one acre walled kitchen garden, which during the summer months provides 95% of all fruit and vegetables we use in the kitchen, assuring you of the very freshest ingredients. "We have an exceptionally talented team in the kitchen who are very keen to keep ingredients as fresh and local as possible. Dishes will change as often as is practical and will offer something new to try regardless of how often our guests dine with us. I look forward to inviting you into our restaurant at an exciting time to try, what I firmly believe to be, some of the most honest and delicious food in food in the area." Executive Chef – Rupert Gleadow
