great bars and beers-can do a beer tasting-worth a visit (as is the Freehouse)

Nice cozy atmosphere with a fire and very helpful service. The veggie burger is highly recommended.
Only had chance to go there twice since this building's revamp into a Sprig and Fern Tavern, but for ambience and selection it's the only option in my opinion. Will stop in again no worries.
I loved how if you can't decide what drink to try the well informed staff give you tastings that are generous. The berry cider is amazing!
h local and national varieties and there are some awesome types. Berry Cider; Tasman Lager; Tasman Beer; Scotch Ale; American Amber (and so on). The food is delicious and really good value. Their burgers are yummy and made to order. Even the coffee is fantastic....More
The staff here are excellent and very cheerful. The beers are mixtures of both local and national varieties and there are some awesome types. Berry Cider; Tasman Lager; Tasman Beer; Scotch Ale; American Amber (and so on). The food is delicious and really good value....More
The array of draught beers/ales is impressive, but the food choices are limited. We had the special which was okay but nothing special. The atmosphere was somewhat sterile (white walls, overly bright) although the upstairs lounge looked more appealing.
Love the atmosphere here - right in between a bar and a pub. Great beers and delicious ciders, loved the three-berry mulled cider! Have yet to eat here but definitely on my 'to do' list.
