Went to eat here for breakfast and it is a tiny cafe in the plaza. Lots of bikers come here to eat breakfast too. My food came in a jiffy.

The proportions are huge which is a total plus! They serve breakfast late too. I got the French toast. It was a bit burnt on the sides but I ignored that. The staff was very friendly and the prices were fair. Great place! I totally recommend it!

Being that this cafe is #4 out of 100+ places to eat in Tahoe...I was really expecting to be wowed/impressed on some level...in fairness to the rating scale. ..excellent and very good are very close to each other with very little difference when rating a restaurant. ..I would have preferred to see excellent...then good...then average...etc...overall...to me... it was a good... I've eaten at Driftwood Cafe for breakfast and lunch with no disappointment. I've had colleagues accompany each time and there were no complaints from them either. I've been more than satisfied with everything I've had there.

food was really fabulous, super cute café. A little wait time at 10am on a Friday morning (25 min) but worth it. The service was not the best ever, but they were slammed and I know it can be hard to keep up. Definitely worth the visit!

Always go here for breakfast when we are in South Lake. Great breakfasts, all the usual and not too pricey.

We had eaten here before a few years ago, but somehow never made it back owing to either a timeframe or a line. Finally came back. We were here early, but got their last table - they gave us a table for six when we were just two. How many restaurants (especially busy restaurants) would do that? Awesome service, and... More

This place is only open for breakfast & lunch. We had breakfast here a couple of times & it was very good food. Everyday they have a breakfast special. Prices are reasonable & staff is very friendly.

Bad food. Many like it so when friends joined me and wanted a place for breakfast I told them that I didn't like it but others think it is good. They went and agreed with me. Stale muffens, etc.

Thank Nothomemuch
