Staying in the village in holiday, very welcoming friendly place. So far eaten here 3 times this week, great choice of food, excellently served, and well presented with great flavours. Good value for money will be back again

Decided to celebrate a birthday here recently. When we booked the table, the staff were very accomodating and we were seated at a fine table overlooking the estuary. From past experiences, I would recommend booking at least a week in advance. The owners have refurbished...More

My wife says this in the nicest pub she has ever seen. She has seen quite a few in her time and is not easily pleased so this is high praise. Her taste cannot be faulted (she chose me) so I can only give this...More

We booked a table for 9 family members to celebrate our daughters 21st Birthday. We regularly dine here and therefore had no reason to doubt our high expectation levels. Once again we were treated to a 1st class evening. We visited earlier in the day...More

What a wonderful place. The Ship Inn has it all: great location on the estuary, welcoming pub for locals and visitors, varied interesting menu, great food. We went three evenings during our one week stay and each time we loved it.

I regularly bring my guests to the Ship Inn both for business dinners and for family and friends meals out. Great location (low/high tide effect amazing), feeling of a local pub with a proper restaurant upstairs, and excellent food. I love the saffron risotto with...More

We were able to sit outside with a picture postcard view of the river estuary. Loads going on, sailing, swimming, Devon yawls rowing about. We only had a light range of lunch snacks, although the table next to us had the battered fish, which looked...More

Understand why it's popular because it's the only place in the village that can be relied on to be open during the day but for visiting tourists it is rather lack lustre. Service perfunctory, atmosphere nil. Wouldn't choose to go if I had another option

Clearly this place has had a LOT of money spent on it. Appears popular locals and visitors. Varied choice of beers and meals. Fish and chips very well cooked. We also had calf liver. Tasted lovely. Portions about right as we both finished which is...More

Lovely Location and a good place to stop for a spot of lunch or dinner. Slightly disappointed with our fish and chips and one of them (mine) the batter was so thick, the inside of it was soggy. The other one was fine! We were...More

Do you make your own burgers? Do you only serve burgers well done? Can we order and be served them medium or medium rare? I understand that the Food Standards Agency and Environmental Health have recently changed their guidance and that well sourced beef prepared and cooked in a well ordered kitchen is acceptable if the customer specifically requests how they want their burger cooked.

Yes burgers were homemade. My son loved his. Suggest you give them all call and ask - I am sure they will accommodate
Do you have free WIFi? Do you admit children and or well behaved dogs? What are your opening hours? Is there anywhere to park when the tide comes in?
