We loved our experience at New Glasgow Lobster Suppers. It is our first time visiting PEI and this place came up multiple times as a recommendation. We absolutely loved the original vibe of the restaurant, it felt like it was stuck in time (in a...good way) and the whole thing kind of moves as a well oiled machine. Be prepared for a wait as even during off peak season there was a line out the door. We got the 1 pound lobster dinner and paid about $40 each which we thought was a great deal for a 4 course meal including beverages. You can also order seconds of everything (except lobster) if you choose, though that was entirely unnecessary for us - we were happily stuffed off the original portion. Our waitress was great, very attentive and friendly and the food came out quickly. Would absolutely return!More

We went to the restaurant with the family to enjoy a famous PEI sea food. Once you come to the restaurant be ready to pay for your meals in advance, which is fine to me, but you will need to wait around 45-50 mins to...come in and have a table. When we got our table we waited about half an hour to get our first meal - cream-soup and mussels, because we were very hungry, that soup was gone very quick. Another 20 mins of wait - you will get a salads, nothing special, just salads. It's already more than 1.5 hours since we arrived and we are still hungry. Finally we got our lobsters, steaks an scallops. Well, steak and scallops were good, but lobsters were cold (we ordered hot), another 20 mins to change them. On top of that, the place is overcrowded, there were around 200 people, it was so noisy that we could barely hear each other. Only one thing we liked - was a desert, hot lobsters were good, but way too expensive for such place, even if you take into account appetizers, deserts and beverages. Next time we go to PEI, we would eat somewhere else, this experience doesn't worth its money, you can find same lobsters and other sea food in a lot of other places for much cheaper and you will not leave the restaurant half fool with a headache, that was caused by the crowd noise.More

6 of us visited the New Glasgow Lobster Supper last week. Be prepared to wait for an hour or so for a table because of their popularity and COVID. We didn't mind the wait because it was an experience that we didn't want to miss...during our trip out east. A 1 pound lobster dinner cost about $40. You eat all you can eat chowder, buns, mussels, salads and dessert with your lobster. A real deal!! Here's how I would rate my experience. Buns - 5 stars; Mussels - 5 stars; Chowder - 2.5 stars; salads - 2.5 stars; lobster - 4.5 stars; desserts - 5 stars. I had 2 desserts, the famous mile high lemon meringue pie and the chocolate cake. Both were 5 stars! And I know my desserts! Overall, it was a great experience. A lot of fun with friends! This is a real east coast PEI institution, so you gotta try it!More

You can't beat the deal here for a top to bottom lobster dinner. The price of the lobster or the main dish you choose governs the price of the entire dinner. If you don't want to order lobster don't think of coming here as you...will be sorely disappointed as I don't think they know how to cook anything else. Your dinner, which you pay for when you enter, includes a choice of two soups. either chowder (meh!bland) or tomato basil soup (very good), a bucket of local blue mussels (delicious) and melted butter to dip them in, bread rolls and butter your choice of lobster ( I had a 1 + 1/2 lb one which is my preferred and seemingly most others choice) accompanied by coleslaw, potato salad and green salad and for dessert I chose the chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream from a varied selection which was very good. You have a choice of tea or coffee which is included. The cost was $57.45 which includes the 15% HST. The prices are $39.95 for a 1lb lobster and then $10.00 more for each 1/2 pound. When I was there they were open from 4pm to 8pm. I had a thirty -five minute wait after arriving at 4:40pm. The lineup is continuous and the dining room huge. They do not accept reservations except from groups and bus tours. It is a great fun experience and highly recommendable. But again, only if you like lobster! Forget anything else.More

We went here and both ordered the lobster meal. It comes with beverages, salad, soup, rolls, desserts and tea/coffee. It is a very memorable experience, but I did find it a little pricey for the amount of food that you actually get. Our waitress was...excellent. Very polite and attentive. The place was bustling....there must have been at least 200 people there. We had to wait about 25 minutes before we were seated, but they are very efficient and run a very well oiled machine. I think I enjoyed the experience more than the meal, but having said that, I would recommend this iconic place.More

Amazing lobster supper! Kind staff - Mikayla was great and so genuine. The food was plentiful and delicious. The mussels were fabulous, the lobster was fresh and the salads tasted so homemade. I would visit again in a heartbeat.

Being a Maritimer I would love to promote our east coast restaurants and places for tourists to visit so it is with some reluctance to give a bad review. I would tell my friends and family to avoid this place and could give them better...choices to get quality meals rather than a large quantity of poor quality. I ordered scallops. There were 4 medium/small overcooked or reheated scallops with two small broken off pieces which was meant to show a total of 6 scallops. The scalloped potatoes was a large mass of thick brown gravy that looked disgusting and the wrinkled sauce cup looked like the leftover cup from a previous diner. The chowder consisted of a very thick broth with almost nothing in it. The salad was ‘fair’ as was the pie. I ate only the four smallish overcooked scallops and three extras I received after my complaint. I did not get even close to my money’s worth. I will never go there again. Sometimes restaurants keep their business by previous reputation.More

Amazing food for the price. One of us got the lobster and it was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. I got the steak which was good. Not the best steak I ever had but for the price it was good for the price. Go...hungry because you will be stuffed. The buns are good but don't fill up because you will miss out on the other good food. Definitely enjoyed the Lemon Meringue pie more them the raisn pie but just preference. The line up was crazy but there is a reason why.More
