Llangoed Hall is full of old world charm, and no more do you experience it than in its dining room. From pre-dinner drinks, to post-dinner collapse, you savour every minute. The food is consistently tasty, and presented to perfection, with service to match.. it is an experience worth paying every penny for. I will no doubt be back, and do... More

While in the area we decided to go and have lunch at this prestigious hotel. We telephoned for a booking and were told by the receptionist that she would have to ask the Chef first. She also asked which menu we wanted ! We have not been to the hotel before so we're not aware of the dining facilities. We... More

Had a couple of nights here and sampled the a la carte menu both nights. It is very highly rated in the good food guide but as yet has no star. £75 for five courses is par for the course and one is not over faced. The raw beef and oyster dish with capers was outstanding and other courses also... More

We stayed here for a few days and found the quality, care and attention to this country house hotel to be of the highest order with knowledgeable and friendly staff. The breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meals were excellent.

The Mad March menu of three courses at £15 plus service charge offered excellent value and was delicious. Wild garlic soup with crusty country bread was followed by chicken, with a pudding of passion fruit cheesecake and sorbet. Courteous and friendl service.

We eat here on Saturday whilst staying at the hotel and would recommend the restaurant to anyone. The food was as good as if not better than some Michelin star restaurants we have eaten in. A total gem.

A lovely room with a well balanced menu providing interesting seasonal food .Much coming from the hotels own kitchen garden . Staff efficient, polite but by today's standards somewhat formal. Wine list limited and reflecting quite a large markup in some cases. Take care decorating dishes with Yew..... it is considered toxic in some cases and does little to enhance... More

We were a table of six and ate off the £75 per head menu. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and the staff were extremely professional. I had the beef tartare, scallops ( which was actually one scallop sliced into three) venison and cheeseboard. The French waiter gave us a presentation of the cheeses available and this was really...
