The three of us took lunch here on the 15th January 2017. We arrived a little early but were shown to our smallish table immediately. As we came through the door we were pleasantly surprised to hear live music by a female singer/guitarist a really nice touch. There are plenty of staff here and service is friendly and prompt serving... More

I have eaten here a number of times most recently New Years Eve, always a gamble to eat out at busy times. Not a gamble here superb from our arrival until we left. Food amazing, staff lovely, friendly good but not intrusive service. Can not wait to return.

The Restaurant was full, we had booked for 2pm, the second sitting, yet we were met with a smiling welcome advised our table would be ready shortly, at 2.10 we were invited to move from the bar to our table, our order taken and by 2.30 our delicious starters were served. Impressed by the logistics as despite the place being... More

We have had a lovely evening after a walk, superb beer sat in the bar on leather sofas followed by a delicious meal. The staff have been kind and efficient. The bedrooms are well appointed and clean. Looking forward to breakfast! Thank you

if you want decent food in a nice atmosphere with pleasant staff then give this place a miss, food was okay nothing to write home about and over priced, the staff are neither friendly or inviting, in all honesty I would tell you to walk 50 yards further down the road where you receive a warm friendly welcome nice atmosphere... Over priced, and not much of a welcome staff a bit stand off ish. Food OK but not worth the price paid. Restaurant low on atmosphere, very cold and formal. Not a relaxing visit.

Although we booked more than a week in advance, we were seated in the back room which has zero ambience. Service was efficient but faceless, food was pretentious but didn't quite hit the mark. The wine is overpriced for the quality though the wine waiter was very helpful. Getting a fireside seat before or after our meal was impossible. It's... More

We visited here for Saturday Lunch and it was exceptional in terms of the quality and taste of the food and the excellent customer service. This attractive Inn is set in a beautiful rural location, with amble car parking and attractive outdoor areas. Inside the decoration is tasteful and inviting. There is an open fire which connects the lounge area... More

Would like to see more Vegan options. Vegan is becoming more sought after, this is another place that needs to be proactive around this emerging market.

The exterior of Brecon’s Felin Fach Griffin may be of ‘another country pub’ but step inside and it’s almost as if chintz and row upon row of horse brasses never happened. Boldly coloured walls and plush leather couches sit happily alongside scrubbed wooden tables and chairs and historic beams, but it’s the food that we’re here for…the very food that has critics raving and the awards piling up. Locally sourced ingredients, including a selection from the restaurant’s own kitchen garden, provide a centrepiece for glorious dishes full of imagination. Make the most of melt in the mouth mains and to die for desserts but remember to leave room for the spectacular selection of Welsh cheeses which really make the meal.

The Felin Fach Griffin has won the Best Family Restaurant award for the United Kingdom in the 2008 Good Food Guide.
