Found this lovely little bakery in the quaint seaside village of Devonport as I took a self guided walking tour. It's on Clarence Street, a street or two away from the main shopping strip, Victoria Road. You are spoilt for choice from salads to quiches and other baked goods, not to mention their dessert range. The pumpkin and feta quiche... More

The menu looked good but when the food arrived we were very dissapointed. The filling for the vegetarian omelette was shocking, it was meant to be feta, spinach, asparagus and tomato. We ordered large coffees too and one was delivered to our table, half filled whilst the other was full? There are birds flying in and out of the place... More

Mid-week lunch for 3 however staff still struggled to deliver decent service. There was uncoordinated delivery of our food so don't go if you expect to all eat together. Food quality and service both below average but the prices aren't. There seemed to be enough staff on but they looked frazzled. The sour cream that came with the wedges was... More

It looks like it has been here since the first settlement in the area, and it probably has. It is distinctly retro but without being deliberately so or trying hard like so many more recent opening do. The chairs and chairs are wrought iron with wooden tops on the tables. here’s nothing wrong with the food or the coffee. There’s... More

Called in on Good Friday for coffees and a cake. Both were OK but all the birds flying gave the place an unhygienic feel. There are many other cafes in Devonport so unlikely to be back any time soon.

We had just gotten off the ferry and were looking for a place to eat that wasn't mobbed with people on this sunny, clear day. We walked into this bakery/cafe and ordered beef lasagne and a spinach/cheese/pumpkin turnover. So very delicious! My husband is still talking about the lasagne. We loved the little birds flying through the open doors and... More

We had a light, late lunch here. My dish of pie with salad had a pie that was barely warm. Very disappointing! My wife's dish was OK, however.

Like many businesses in this village the building started life as something else. We stopped by for a mid-week lunch and found the tables out front and inside all in use but in the space between this and the next buildind brick pavers had ben laid, some plants installed and space created for a few more tables. Our sandwiches were... More
