AMAZING! I highly recommend dining here. We celebrated someone specials birthday at the Abbey and were well looked after. They made the night enjoyable with excellent customer service, delicious food and great vibes. The team really went above and beyond to make sure it was...a night to remember. Thank you so much and will be back again soon 😊More

I have passed by many times but never actually tried it. We ended up coming here for dinner. It was surprisingly busy and quite hard to find street parking on a Wednesday night. It turned out they had a few parks behind the building. There...was a fair selection of items on the drink and food menu. The drinks menu was about to be changed so quite a few of the items weren't actually available. The waitress was quite nice about it so it wasn't that big of an issue for us since we did get alternative recommendations. The portions are ok. I had the Abby signature, which was a platter that had a bit of everything. I really liked the duck. It had a nice crispiness to it and it was still quite juicy and tasty. The pork belly was ok since the skin wasn't very crispy, there were a few chewy areas. The steak was nicely cooked, as were the potatoes. We then grabbed two dessert platters to share between 5 of us. The creme brulee was really nice, good flavour and nice brulee. The brownie was gooey and had nice chunks of chocolate. The sticky date pudding was also quite rich and tasty but the toffee was a bit granular. They also served us four different ice cream flavours. I wasn't a fan of the white chocolate chantilly, the flavour was a bit off but was ok when mixed with the other items. It was a really enjoyable place to have dinner. The service was really friendly, giving the place a very casual and relaxing atmosphere.More

Enjoyed an fabulous meal with friends at The Abbey last night. Service was excellent despite the waitress accidentally smashing a wine glass on the floor beside us. The food was delicious - the Fillet Steak and the Squid were outstanding. Definitely coming back for more.

Had a great experience the other day dining at The Abbey Bar & Restaurant for lunch! I was recommended by a friend to pop in here while getting my car serviced nearby and I was so glad I did! I had the fish of the...day (pictured) which was recommended by the staff which I thoroughly enjoyed! Service here was great, very friendly staff - will definitely be coming back!More

Looked at this place online and was happy to make a booking. Got there and was served by Ann-Marie and it was a great way to start the evening after that she’d finished her shift and said goodbye. After that sadly the service lacked. I...don’t normally leave any bad reviews as I work in hospo myself and know how it can be on busy nights how ever there was maybe only 15 people max there while we were and we had to ask for cutlery after we’d had our main meals sitting in front of us for 5 mins and then I had to send my steak back that was meant to MR came out MW and said I was happy to eat the rest of what I had on my plate so I could eat with my mum and by time my mum had finished her food mine finally came out the steak was cooked properly but the same food was still there sitting under the heat lamp until my steak had been recooked. No proper apology was made and when we went to pay I said I’d complain on here witch I never do but the server had to get help to cash off our check I’m just disappointed considering I spent a few hundred there.More

Probably the best food pub in Auckland. Don't judge a book by its cover - decor / atmosphere etc most agreeable. Yes - the menu is well structured and set up to facilitate excellence - just a few balanced and well executed mains. All aspects...of the food and service were of a high standard - even down to the quality of the olive oil with the bread and olives. Somebody here has an eye for detail......Oh nearly forgot the Italian white wine - great too.........More
