We happened to stop in Dead Man Flats to fuel up on our way to Lake Louise. It was about time for lunch, so we went next door to Mad Dog Cafe. We a treat! We received a warm, friendly greeting from the staff, and had a delicious lunch. The Butter Chicken curry bowl was flavorful with just the right... More

I recently had the pleasure of having dinner here. Outstanding food and service. I had the Beef Vindaloo, and it was very good indeed. You will not be disappointed if you dine here.

We have been coming to curry night for a couple of years and the food NEVER disappoints. Russell and Dawn have done a fantastic job of creating a warm and cozy place for a meal. The food is always delicious and the staff is awesome. Lou is a great addition to the team as the new manager. We will be... More

We stopped in on a Friday night at 6:30 and lucked into a once a month tradition, the curry buffet! There are 2 sittings, 6 & 8 but they graciously let us join. It was amazing! The selection, quality and quantity of food was out of this world. We will be back and even if we don't happen upon curry... More

If you need a pit stop and the crowds at Canmore don't appeal to you this is the place. Very welcoming and more than a convenience store.

Enjoyed the curry's (had the mixed platter and the winter vegetable curry was exceptional). Returned for the Chai Pancakes for breakfast - also a hit. Took home the Cardamom and Chocolate Chip cookies and also tasted the Oatmeal Raisin, both very good.

We only ate here once and were really happy with the menu options, and the food we chose was delicious. The place is eclectic and I love the "market" idea. It smells of curry when you walk in. Comfy tables and chairs, couches by the fireplace. Big, bright windows. Friendly staff.

Offering daily curry specials and samosas, along with homemade soup, sandwiches, other non-curry grab and go favorites, great locally roasted specialty coffees and organic teas, craft beer and regional wines, we hope you find our little cafe & market a great place to stop for a quick snack when passing by, a comfortable meal when meeting friends or family, or the place to go to buy all your favorite Mad Dog Products for your pantry or freezer. Here we now have our booking office and meeting place for our dogsled clients, a casual counter-service cafe with the food that we have become best known for at our markets, and a larger retail area interspersed filled with our own Mad Dog Quality Products and other local market favorites.
