Great service. We had dinner and food was delicious. It was a little cold and the server provided a heater - much appreciated. Dinner in the lounge area was much quieter than the main restaurant.

We stayed the the Vancouver Marriott on January 12th and decided to have dinner at the 75 West Coast Grill. What an amazing place but what really stood out was the service we received from Remi as our waiter. Top notch and the food was...awesome. Thanks Remi and because of you we will stay and eat at the 75 Grill again.More

I’m down here for surgery and staying in the accompanying hotel, the Marriot. Hospital food as you know is somewhat lacking so I was looking for alternatives while I heal up. This restaurant is incredible. Lots of options including GF which is key for my...wife who has celiac. Portions were good, taste phenomenal. Better than all that though was our server, Remi. Attention to detail, great attitude and witty. Hallmarks of a great human being. Thank you Remi. We will be back soon!More

My sister, brother-in-law, and I frequently visit 75 West Coast Grill at the Richmond Marriott Hotel. We have also taken guest there for events such as the Thanksgiving or Christmas specials. The food is top notch and while all of the servers are good, Remi...often looks after us and is friendly, gracious, helpful, and efficient. We look forward to our next meal there.More

I’d been curious about 75 West Coast Grill for some time. Originally known as “American Grille” until 2019, this eatery, which is housed in the Vancouver Airport Marriott Hotel, has consistently been in TripAdvisor’s “top 5” restaurants for Richmond. As such, one would naturally assume...you’ll get a good meal here. I’m happy to report that, overall, we weren’t disappointed. 75 West Coast Grill touts itself as one of Richmond’s “most popular lunch and dinner destinations.” I have no reason to believe that not to be true; after all, this establishment is in the heart of downtown. Thus, one could reasonably assume it’s popular with the lunch crowd. And, because it’s in a busy hotel, 75 West Coast Grill is doubtless popular at dinner time – something we experienced first-hand. When we attended for dinner, the restaurant was bustling with families and hotel guests. There were plenty of airline staff debriefing about their day at the casual bar – was kind of fun overhearing some of the nerdy “aviation speak!” The atmosphere was lively, but the décor and ambiance still just scream “hotel restaurant” to me despite the significant renovation that took place a few years ago. Reviewing the menu, which features a nice emphasis on vaguely defined “west coast” cuisine, I felt the prices to be quite fair and far from “exorbitant” (in contrast to an earlier review). Seriously, how could one be surprised or “appalled” at the price of your bill? Did you not look at pricing before ordering? Some people, I tell you! It’s almost as entertaining as those people who claim to have patronized a given establishment for years but remain silent until something isn’t to their liking. It’s only then that they hit up the review sites and forums like a true keyboard warrior: “I’ve been coming here for years, but TODAY was not good!” Stuff like that makes me shake my head. Anyway. . . Part of the reason I wanted to come here was to try a special advertised online – sablefish chowder – but it apparently was no longer available (boo). So, we ended up ordering a variety of different items: Curry Chicken Soup (special of the day), Salt & Pepper Wings, Fried Chili Prawns, Fish & Chips, and the BC Wild Salmon. On the whole, as I noted above, these were quite delicious. Now, a bit more in the way of explanation: CURRY CHICKEN SOUP: This was a thin soup and, even though it didn’t look too exciting, was surprisingly delicious. The curry was prominent but didn’t necessarily overpower the chicken bits. As a starter, I felt this dish was quite effective FRIED CHILI PRAWNS: The prawns were of a nice size; the batter was nice and thin (not “jumbo batter, tiny prawn” like a lot of other places); and they tasted wonderfully fresh. The chili dipping sauce was pretty standard; however, for me, the “pepper lime dipping sauce” really took the cake and trumped the Thai chili! It was light, flavourful and played nicely with the battered prawns. SALT & PEPPER WINGS: These were pretty straightforward, but that’s the point. The wings were crispy on the outside and tender juicy on the inside. The accompanying blue cheese dip complemented them nicely. FISH & CHIPS: I will give 75 West Coast Grill points for these. The 3 pieces of cod were large, generous and cooked to perfection. The batter was light and crispy, but not overly greasy. In fact, this version of fish and chips reminded me, in many ways, of the ones you get at White Spot – and that’s definitely not a bad thing. I’ve remarked elsewhere that I think White Spot’s fish & chips are very underrated. WILD SALMON: Served with fingerling potatoes and roasted baby carrots, the salmon was cooked beautifully. It’s just a shame they kind of went overboard on the orange miso glaze – made the fish a little too sweet tasting for my preference. Tone the miso glaze down a notch and this dish would be a home-run! Finally, I’d be remiss if I failed to mention the service. Our server, Heemoon, was efficient and attentive. But kudos shouldn’t just go out to him – the whole team seems to run like a well-oiled machine. Heemoon was our primary server, but others also kicked in when necessary. Bravo! FOOD: 4/5 SERVICE: 5/5 VALUE: 4/5 RECOMMENDATION: Well, it’s easy to see why 75 West Coast Grill remains amongst the top-rated eateries in Richmond. Service was good and our meal hit all the right notes, highlighting some distinct west coast flavours. If you’re staying at the hotel, or within the vicinity, we do recommend checking them out! My recent visit to 75 West Coast Grill left me deeply dissatisfied and regretting my decision to dine there. From the exorbitant prices to the lackluster food quality, this restaurant failed to meet even the most basic expectations. First and foremost, the prices at 75...West Coast Grill were nothing short of outrageous. I was appalled to discover that my bill was significantly higher than what I would typically expect to pay for a meal of similar caliber. It's disheartening when a restaurant tries to take advantage of its customers by charging exorbitant amounts without providing a commensurate dining experience. To make matters worse, the tasteless eggs I ordered were a major letdown. I had hoped for a delightful burst of flavor, but instead, I received a bland and unappetizing plate. It's perplexing how a restaurant can fail to master such a basic dish. It left me wondering if any effort was put into the food preparation at all. The overall quality of the food at 75 West Coast Grill was underwhelming, to say the least. It's one thing to have high prices, but it's an entirely different matter when the food doesn't justify the cost. Each dish lacked the creativity, flavor, and finesse that one would expect from a restaurant that boasts about its culinary prowess. The ingredients seemed mediocre, and the execution was far from satisfactory. Furthermore, the service was lackadaisical and inattentive. The staff appeared disinterested and unengaged, making me question their commitment to providing a positive dining experience. It's disheartening to witness such lackluster service when paying a premium for a meal. All in all, I would strongly advise against wasting your time and hard-earned money at 75 West Coast Grill. The overpriced menu, tasteless eggs, and overall lack of quality in the food make it abundantly clear that this establishment does not prioritize customer satisfaction. Save yourself the disappointment and explore other dining options that offer better value for your money and a genuinely enjoyable culinary experience.More

Efficient and very friendly service. I was told I could sit in any open seat for breakfast. I had a wonderful omelet they made quickly. There is also a hot buffet with eggs, bacon (American style), sausages, cereals, fruit, bagels, muffins, yogurt, and individual bottles...of chocolate milk (which I rarely see in restaurants). Hours for breakfast are 6:30-11:00am. My meal cost $35 Can, excluding tip.More
