I'm not a vegetarian but everything I tasted was so delicious and like meat!!! The BBQ buns are the best I ever hade and gyozas and dumplings are better than meaty ones.
The stew and the other "fish or meat dish" was as well very good. Next time in Richmond again at this place.
As well it was cheap and the amount of food was so much that we can eat twice from it!

All the food is vegetarian with lots of vegan options. Extensive menu. Not a lot of room to sit at the moment as they focus on take-out.

There is immune compromised person working there, that means that person is sick, mask won't save from any virus, it's all going to the food. I used to like this place but the fact that they don't respect clients with medical conditions , you lost me as a client forever. Just disgusting act.

Came here after just finishing my self-isolation and I was craving a good vegan feast. Unfortunately with corona there is still no sit-down dining, but it was a wonderful surprise to stumble upon this Taiwanese place and get takeout.
I ordered 客家小炒 Hakka stir-fry, it was mostly dried tofu, mushrooms, konjac in black bean chili sauce, with some five spice frozen tofu and bak choy on the side. Came with a soup too. Great meal - way more food than I needed to fill me up, and it really hit the spot. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for some solid Chinese.

This is a vegetarian restaurant that also caters to vegans. We had their Japanese pan fried Gyoza (5 pieces). It was ok but we've had better. It's made to order. Allow 20-25 minutes for dim sum orders. Their other menu items also looked appealing.

I have been going to 4 Stones for many years now. The food is consistently good. There is a wide choice on the menu and it always well prepared. Recently it has changed from service at the table to ordering and prepaying at the counter with the food subsequently brought to your table. Self service on cold water. I don’t like the change. It feels less of a place to take friends for a meal out; less of a restaurant experience. I enjoy having a friendly server when ordering the food. But no more. Now the service is simply utilitarian.

Originally found 4 Stones on some delivery service. Had no idea if was in Richmond. Tucked away across from the mall. But the flavours & quality of vegan & vegetarian food are amazing. Sweet & Sour Treasure, Deep-Fried Oyster Mushrooms, MUST have the Lettuce Wraps. Love the presentation. Alway needs extra dip but its all SO good. Fast & friendly. Love you guys!

Went there with friends, one of whom is a regular because she's a vegetarian.
It's in a strip mall, not the most charming of locations - but this little place does an excellent job of serving up flavors and variety.
This is a small operation so you order at the counter, take a number, and then they bring the dishes to you. You can pay when you order or when you're done. The food came out fairly quickly, the service was cheerful and they were patient when we kept changing our minds about the order. IMHO I prefer a nice mom-n-pop place like this to a slick soulless operation.
We ordered several dishes, including the Kung Pao Spicy Veggie Chicken, the Health Hot Pot, Oyster Mushrooms, brown rice, and to other dishes, one of which was my fave so I wish I could remember the name! Looked almost like Dynamite Roll). Served with pots of tea our bill including tax was about $55. Good value for a really nice meal for three.
They DO offer some lunch special combos that we saw others having - looked generous and very good. Not sure on the price.
I think it's hilarious that another reviewer complained there was "chicken, fish and beef" on the menu in a vegetarian restaurant. NO THERE ISN'T. It clearly says "Vegetarian chicken" - in other words, made-to-taste-like chicken but still vegetarian!
Will definitely stop in again next time I'm in the area.
BTW, there is some parking front of the restaurant - when I went I had no trouble getting a spot - but I was there right at high noon on a Sunday.

We are not Vegans so when we were invited for lunch with a Vegan couple we didn't know if we would be enjoying this lunch, and had a chance to enjoy dishes that looked like meat! The selection was very large and I must admit it was quite amazing how they were able to manipulate soy and mushrooms to look like familiar dishes in most asian restaurants.
Our Vegan friends loved it but I must admit it was a bit pricey. The 4 of us ranked up a 145.00 bill before tip because avg dish was $20 each

I would give this place a 0 for service if I could. I ordered a vegetable stir-fry noodle dish over the phone and the lady told me it was busy and I'd have to wait 30 minutes, which I said was absolutely fine. When I arrived at the restaurant, they said they didn't have the noodle and couldn't make the dish! They said they tried calling me back which was a lie. I then asked if they could make it with another noodle and they said they can't because it was busy. First of all, don't lie in saying you tried to contact me because you didn't. Second of all, it's a stir fry. I don't care what noodles you make it from. Third of all, when I ask you if you can make it now (after a 30 minute wait already) don't point at your orders and say it's busy. Absolutely absurd. Terrible service and will not recommend to anyone.

They advertise this place as a Chinese Vegetarian restaurant and went there with high hopes reading some good reviews. Firstly the parking is a pain as there is very limited spots reserved for 4Stones. The when we went in the place was packed so we were happy that maybe this place is all it's made out to be. Since there was no sitting available I decided on takeout. Looking through the menu it displays beef, chicken, fish. Can someone please enlighten me as to how this place can claim to be a vegetarian restaurant? Highly disappointed and I do plan to go back and ask them for clarification. Maybe once I get that I might update my review. In the meantime all veggies please do not be fooled by their claim. TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

This family run restaurant has been around for more than a decade and I have been coming here since it opened. It is very popular and sometimes that means waiting. A very extensive Chinese vegetarian menu. The dishes are predominantly but not exclusively Taiwanese. Very tasty and well prepared. Probably the best Chinese vegetarian restaurant in the Vancouver/Richmond area. The food is great but the service can sometimes be indifferent, particularly during busy times. It is quite small, and so is the kitchen so food takes time to prepare. Parking is limited onsite, but there is lots nearby.
