Richmond is out of the way, and not especially known for its restaurants, people here come over to Vancouver for an evening out, but the CAVU Kitchen Bar at the Hilton in Richmond was a welcome find in our particular pinch - arriving at 5:00...pm for an early dinner, we found out that we were on time for the happy hour specials, not to mention the reduced specials of the specific day - my guest and I shared the prawn pot stickers, which were superb, I had the lobster ravioli, which were ample and good enough to praise here, my guest had the pan seared fish, which looked absolutely delicious - the service was nothing short of excellent, attentive, courteous, personable, respectful, thank you so much, Matthew - and the price was beyond right - we intend now to make the CAVU a weekly hauntMore

I had a great time recently in Vancouver/Richmond at Cavu. Jerry in specific was always very accommodating, greeting with a smile every morning and making me feel comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious. One day for lunch I was in a hurry and they rushed...a salad to go so that I wouldn’t be late for my conference. all the food I had was great and there was a wide selection on the buffet and on the menu. So fantastic have such a convenient and excellent place to make my weekend more productive.More

Cavu is the best hotel restaurant among the various local ones I've visited. The food quality is excellent with a wide array of delicious and unique burgers and other knife and fork options. I choose their award winning mac and cheese burger ($20), with buns...made from deep fried mac and cheese: a meal and a half! Service is always friendly and attentive. Galia served us on our visit and the bartender is engaging as well. Atmosphere is classy and inviting with live music on certain nights. We had a guitarist playing popular songs on Saturday night.More

Joined some freinds fro dinner at Cavu and was very impressed with the service. For the most part the food was very good but what really made the evening was our server Galia who was very attentive, helpful and a lot of fun.

My friend and I were looking for a nice place to eat in Richmond before our evening plans and we’re so delighted to have picked Cavu. Both our hostess and our server Ash were so pleasant and really made our experience. Ash helped us pick...some very tasty drinks before our dinner which was delicious. Both my friend and I look forward to out next dinner at Cavu - 5 stars!More

Underwhelming breakfast. Adults liked it but kids hardly ate any even though they were hungry. Potatoes were greasy. Quality was just not very good for an $18 breakfast. I had the hash which was pretty good.

What a great Christmas dinner!! This is the second year we have had Christmas Dinner here and it gets better every time. This year it was a beautiful buffet. I have Celiacs Disease and was given my own turkey plate (ordered at time of booking)...with turkey, stuffing and an amazing gravy, mmmmmm! My plate was delivered by the chef, thank you Chef Ian! The staff was friendly, everyone had a bright smile and the service was great as always. Also thank you our server Thomas (loved the Christmas suspenders) you were the cherry on top of a wonderful experience. We will be back soon and definitely next Christmas.More

The atmosphere of the Hilton lobby and the restaurant where this is located is very high-end, classy, and luxurious. Great place to treat someone to a nice meal (or yourself!). We ordered the fried macaroni bits, the artichoke dip, the "Which Came First" burger, and...the Le Mac (best burger 2019). We thought the dip and "WCF" burger were really nice and hearty. The mac and cheese is a little on the dry side (we thought it could've used some more cheese and or sauce) but the presentation of the dishes were great. Special shoutout to our server Matthew I. for his wonderful hospitality. Very kind and welcoming, and made sure everything was to our liking (I tried out a few extra sauces).More

What a find! We had just checked in at the Hilton after flying from Panama City to Denver in a pleasant Copa business class cabin and onward from Denver to Vancouver in uncomfortable Economy Plus seats on United. We were tired and ready for a...late-night bite of about anything, but what we encountered was a creative and well-priced late night Happy Hour menu at this restaurant, tucked at one end of the Hilton lobby. The server (who could have been the manager) was friendly and helpful. It was superb and we enjoyed every bite of everything we tried. Our buffet breakfast the following morning was also excellent, and we're happy to recommend CAVU.More
