I did visit the N. Vancouver location few times , great bakery and coffee bar , this review is for the new location at Burquitlam on Clark Road , meeting my business partner early this morning for coffee . BjornBar well know for their fresh bake gourmet goods , and sandwich , hot beverages very upscale friendly with high ceiling ambiance , not pricy and indoor or outdoor seating , the line up sometimes is long , but moving fast we were their 11am , no wait at all , my Cinnamon Bun so yummy and flavourful ., nicely go with my Mocha , my partner do enjoyed her Apple Fritter , we also got some Mango , Rasp , Maple Fudge Ibar for the office , great relax coffee Bar , must try . staff very friendly and helpful .

Dropped in for the first time today looking for somewhere for a good sandwich. We got two so we could share and try both. We went for the Hot Chick and the Old Skool. They also have tons of bars as a specialty so we took home a few to try.
The sandwiches are awesome! One was on a baguette and one was on grilled sourdough and both breads and sandwiches were great. Lots of meat, lots of flavor. Really satisfying sandwiches. And the bars were great too. Of the 4 we tried, the standouts were the Cookies & Cream and the Breakup Bar. A bunch of these would make a perfect dessert to share for a dinner.
Also the service was top notch. Very friendly and helpful and a great vibe. They were Bjorn to do this. 👌🏼

A busy place to visit if you’re meeting a friend for coffee or having lunch with family. It was busy at lunch on a weekday. Our rating is below (5 is the highest)
Service: 4 – if you’re dining in, you’ll get a number & they’ll bring your food to the table.
Ambience – 4 – nice casual contemporary café – I loved the couch & 2 chairs beside the gas fireplace. Maybe a challenge if you have more than 4 people dining in. Ideal for 2 people. It was busy. If you intend on dining in, you’ll need to be here before the peak times.
Food: 4 - If you love desserts & gooey cinnamon buns, go no further. There are lots of desserts (I counted over 36 kinds of dessert bars) & pastries. They have simple lunch items such as soup (only had one type of soup) & grilled sandwiches/paninis. If you like good quality coffee, they serve Illy. We had the tomato basil soup which I found a bit on the salty side. We shared the spicy chicken sandwich which wasn’t too spicy. There wasn’t much chicken inside and found it a bit dry. The sandwich was about $15.
A nice local coffee place to visit whether you’re in the Edgemont neighbourhood or enroute to Grouse Mountain. It’s worth the detour. There’s free street parking around the area.

First time to try this place. Everything looked good
1. Coffee was good
2. Order beef dip with jus was good but felt it was pricey
3. Order chicken quesadillas, there was more tortilla wrap than filling on the inside. Expensive x2

I have been to Bjorn cafe twice before because of their “amazing” tomato soup. Today I was looking forward to have the soup again. I was terribly disappointed because the soup was beyond salty. IT WAS NOT EATABLE, believe me I tried. When informed the staff about it, we didn’t get the nicest response. They were kind of like “ yeah it’s salty we know”. Did not offer any solution or anything at all. As I said before this was not what I had the two previous times and the staff seemed not to care at all. We left our bowls almost full and left the cafe. The reaction of staff was very poor and they didn’t seem to care about the feedback at all. They will probably keep serving it to other people. Very very disappointed today!

I opted to buy some items from Bjorn bakery for a bday party. Mediocre at best for lunch box, sandwich boxes were great, the bar box was great also. However the fruity cakes were horrible. We ordered two cakes. Cake was dried out and icing was horrible. It was too bad because they looked so pretty. I had everyone almost at the party comment how bad the cake was and we had to throw it away. Disappointing. Maybe another cake is better but stay away from the fruity cake with buttercream icing. Contacted this company twice by email and no response back.
Giving one star for lack of response and how awful the cakes were and they weren’t cheap.
Wanted to love this place!

Popped in for a quick lunch. The egg sandwich on an english muffin was really tasty, especially with a bit of hot sauce. Acorn cookie was meringue-based, half-dipped in chocolate and topped with pistachios - pretty but rather sweet.
Cute place, baked goods looked amazing. Great place to stop in for a break.

I LOVE the scones and would buy my pre work treats here all the time If only they had decent dark roast coffee.
Baking is to-die-for. Worth every penny. Which is more like a dollar.

It’s been more than 5 years since the arrival of Bjornbar Bakery - and there has never been a dull moment, not one hiccup in flavour or quality - great there’s never been a disappointing visit here morning, noon or night. I love everything about this cafe!
My new thing (and I shouldn’t tell you about it) is the fresh-baked Zucchini bread - oh it is just perfect! I’ve never tasted it’s equal and I am a chef who happily bakes his own - but never again! These treats are great and I always recommend eating here.
The owner is one of a kind to the area and we appreciate her so much, and the wonderful staff she employs!
Now, back to my Zucchini bread 🥳

While I’m not sure I’d send a fully-affected person with celiac to this spot, because the gluten free items are in the same display case as the wheat-y treats, I have successfully enjoyed their truffle. Decadent.
