Aside from the view, this restaurant is a hard no. I had the spicy spaghetti it was undercooked, and the taste wasn't pleasant at all. My wife had the tiny $30 duck, it was just a leg and she was hungry and didn't enjoy it.

A dog at a nearby table at Arms Reach Bistro barked throughout our lunch, ruining our experience at an otherwise decent restaurant that we have regularly frequented. To be clear, with a couple dog owners in our party we have no problem with dogs in...restaurants. However, I am writing this review to encourage Arms Reach to prioritize the enjoyment of their guests at the other ~ 15+ tables, rather than the one inconsiderate diner with the dog that barked continuously.More

We have been coming here for years, it is our local 'go to' restaurant to celebrate special occasions, showcase the cove to out of town friends, or just drop into after a bike ride or walk. We had friends visiting from Ontario, and took them...here last Friday night, and it felt as if ownership, or management had changed. The menu was the same, but prices were up considerably, and our server was trying to upsell us on everything (appetizers. second bottle of wine, garlic bread, on and on). When I asked if we could just have the regular bread provided with dinner, she forgot, but eventually brought us 4 dry slices of baguette toasted, not the delicious home baked mini baguette that has always been provided, fresh out of the oven for free. I was shocked to see our server charged us a $1 for this bread, on a $200 bill for dinner. Not very Covey. Unfortunately we will be giving Arms Reach a break until they get their act back together. I would not recommend. Try Northlands Golf Course, or Colony Restaurant as nearby good alternatives. Sad to write this review, but they have new leadership, or have lost their way.More

It was a beautiful Sunny day , me and my bosom buddy biking around North Shore almost six hours , dropped in for a quick bite and REST ! too early for dinner , it is a North West cuisine , not expensive at all..., special around the Deep Cover area , deco is very casual and cozy atmosphere and great views , guidelines well followed , not too hungry , so we just order the Mussels and Caesar Salad also the Chicken penne to share , coconut curry sauce with Mussels well balanced with the spicy , very interesting taste ! it is lot different them garlic and wine sauce , the penne not over cooked , not cherry texture , nicely done , service very friendly , looking forward come back here soon with my girlfriends ! very romantic dinning at night , leave well rested and full .More

Fairly disappointed in this restaurant. I ordered a “Winter salad” for take away and to save you from finding their online menu, the description is the following: Julienne beats, honey crisp apple, shaved carrots, fennel and ricotta cheese. I’ve attached a photo of what I...received. Unfortunately, I was already a 15min drive home and couldn’t bring myself to return. I truly hope this was simply a one off but I’m certainly reluctant to go back, considering the salad was $18 to begin with.More

We've been going to this location for over 40 years. Was the best view of Deep Cove. Restaurants have always been high quality fine dining offerings. This time, with the Covid rules, the passport system worked efficiently, seating was done quickly. Got our requested table...but over the years the trees have grown so tall that they've cut off the view of the bay. Was nice to see the the City has allowed additional sidewalk tables. Service was friendly and efficient. Portions are huge. Wife and I split "Spicy Spaghetti" with prawns which was just right for us. Son's "Baked Spaghetti" was huge which he enjoyed very much. His Partner's "Steelhead" was done to perfection and a generous portion. Unfortunately the Calamari appetizer tasted old and so did the prawns in our serving of Spicy Spaghetti. Dissapointed. Desserts were excellent. Was nice to see that the City has allowed Sidewalk Seating to add the the Ambience of this beautiful area.More

Wonderful patio dinner on our first night in North Vancouver. We enjoyed the chicken penne, steelhead trout and wine. Beautiful backdrop of Deepcove made this night special.

Awesome experience. We had guests waiting at our house-otherwise we would have stayed for a full meal. The service is top tier. We were greeted right away. Our server listened to our request and quickly found us a table outside with a fabulous view. She...took our order and offered a selection of options while we waited. We selected Beef Carpaccio and two glasses of wine. The selection perfect matched to the wine. The food - tasty and beautifully prepared.Great way to impress your partner!!! Our server had our take out food ready at the time she arranged and we returned home with outstanding food for our guests. My suggestion if you don’t want to cook one evening? Take your wife by the hand and tell her….”I’m going to make one tel call and then I know where we need to go tonight….” Call Arms Reach and if they have room - you are set for the best evening summer of 2021!More

Hi, we are regulars that have been coming since the restaurant opened. The last few times we have come, the restaurant has been out of mussels. So..... today we phoned around 3, and said we wanted to be sure we could have mussels when we came tonight....We offered to pre-pay to be sure we had them. The girl we spoke to assured us there was no chance they would run out. We still insisted, but she said it was "for sure" we could have them. We were seated about 8:15ish, and were immediately told the mussels were sold out. So..... very frustrating and disappointing. We still had wonderful meal and evening (love Johnny!!) so, not really complaining, but still very disappointed that we were  " assured!!!" there would be mussels, when in fact, there were none. Thanks, ChristineMore

Food was excellent, friendly staff, dog friendly patio with amazing views. We were greeted warmly and our names were put on a text list and we waited about 20 minutes. It was worth the wait. Our table was perfectly located and there was a space...for our doodle. When the waitress bought our water. She also bought a bowl for our dog which was very welcoming.More

A really nice place to go to during the summer months in Deep Cove. They have a big dining room as well as a patio seating area. Even though they are close to the waters, I didn't get that much of a view of the...waters, I think it's due to the tree foliage. Might have a better view in the winter. Food is nice there, very colourful and fresh ingredients. We got the pork chop and steak as our mains. Unfortunately the first steak was completely overcooked, but our server was quick in action and offered to redo our steak. The second time when it came out it was perfect. Our server was nice throughout and checked up on us to fill water and drinks. I did noticed, however, the windowsill need a good cleaning. As we were seated right next to a window, I saw lots of cobwebs and a few dead flies in between the windowsill. Good thing we had a 4 person bench table, so we moved down away from the window. Overall it's a nice restaurant to go to for drinks and food during the summer months, and a momentary getaway from the city.More

First off I have to say the service here at Arms Reach is exceptional! Both of our servers on duty provided us friendly and knowledgeable service! Their warmth also make enhanced our dining experience! Located in the Deep Cove Village, this is a tourist hot...spot during spring and summer, you would be lucky to even get a table here! For us locals, I am glad, we are also able to enjoy this lovely restaurant during the "off" seasons. Food is also exceptional, my Spicy Spaghetti came in a large portion filled with Argentinian Prawns which as an extra crunchy texture and sweetness, the pasta of course is al dente, the chorizo added an extra punch to the whole dish! BC Organic Beef Burger was also outstanding in that the beef patty was still juicy and you can taste the quality in the Organic Beef they used. Kudos to the Chef's use of brioche style bun, perfect match in texture!! I would also like to commend our other server who came to discuss my paring of wine with my pasta dish, attention to details like this is what makes establishments like this shine!More

Have been there with someone who is gluten sensitive, and she things on the menu that satisfied her, however you should check with the restaurant directly to make sure this is still the case. Bon Appetit!!

No, we won't be having live music this year. It's just too small a venue for a band. We will, however, be having a special three course menu. Reservations are going quickly!
