First off I have to say the service here at Arms Reach is exceptional! Both of our servers on duty provided us friendly and knowledgeable service! Their warmth also make enhanced our dining experience!
Located in the Deep Cove Village, this is a tourist hot spot during spring and summer, you would be lucky to even get a table here! For us locals, I am glad, we are also able to enjoy this lovely restaurant during the "off" seasons.
Food is also exceptional, my Spicy Spaghetti came in a large portion filled with Argentinian Prawns which as an extra crunchy texture and sweetness, the pasta of course is al dente, the chorizo added an extra punch to the whole dish! BC Organic Beef Burger was also outstanding in that the beef patty was still juicy and you can taste the quality in the Organic Beef they used. Kudos to the Chef's use of brioche style bun, perfect match in texture!!
I would also like to commend our other server who came to discuss my paring of wine with my pasta dish, attention to details like this is what makes establishments like this shine!

My son & I discovered this gem during Thanksgiving week 2019 and agreed it was an excellent choice with which to welcome my wife for her first tour of the Left Coast. It was a natural stop between Abbotsford airport and Whistler, our 2nd day destination and a known quality to my son and I who thoroughly enjoyed the food, views, atmosphere and service at Arms Reach as well as the town and views of Deep Cove. Rain dampened the town tour but the service and food at Arm's Reach more than made up for that and we literally "closed the place down" after starting just after 7 p.m. The restaurant is not cheap by any means but not overpriced either. We will return... hopefully with better weather next time!

This is one of my favorite restaurants, with a beautiful view of Deep Cove (literally overlooks the marina) and a nice patio for the summer months. My wife and I have a
restricted diet and find that Arms Reach always goes over and above our expectations and can accommodate our gluten free/ dairy free requirements with lots of options.
Excellent service (always), great food and a large wine list. This place serves real food and is priced in line with what a quality meal costs.

Attended as a group of six, service was just okay. The kitchen staff went way heavy with the salt (I’m very sensitive to MSG and also had a reaction to something used in the food preparation) on both the appetizers and mains (I only managed to finish a 1/4 of the “Chicken Penne”). Living in the area I have been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years, unfortunately the food has been disappointing the past few visits. I would expect more for the premium prices this restaurant charges. I’m sad to say that I will not be returning to this venue.

We were looking quite forward to celebrating a birthday at the arms reach. After all, it’s a neighbourhood favourite.
Well, it really wasn’t great. The two stars are for the location as deep cove is a truly charming place.
The food wasn’t great, the service was polite but indifferent (the server took a picture of us cheering happy birthday and didn’t as much as say happy birthday to the birthday girl), and everything was way overpriced.
My salad was tiny ($17) and the side of steelhead was minuscule ($9!!!), the cheese on a kids cheeseburger was $2.25.. you get the idea.
Overall, it’s a subpar place in a nice setting. Have some pizza on the beach instead.

We have been coming here for years, it is our local 'go to' restaurant to celebrate special occasions, showcase the cove to out of town friends, or just drop into after a bike ride or walk. We had friends visiting from Ontario, and took them here last Friday night, and it felt as if ownership, or management had changed. The menu was the same, but prices were up considerably, and our server was trying to upsell us on everything (appetizers. second bottle of wine, garlic bread, on and on). When I asked if we could just have the regular bread provided with dinner, she forgot, but eventually brought us 4 dry slices of baguette toasted, not the delicious home baked mini baguette that has always been provided, fresh out of the oven for free. I was shocked to see our server charged us a $1 for this bread, on a $200 bill for dinner. Not very Covey. Unfortunately we will be giving Arms Reach a break until they get their act back together. I would not recommend. Try Northlands Golf Course, or Colony Restaurant as nearby good alternatives. Sad to write this review, but they have new leadership, or have lost their way.

Being very critical of “restaurant life” and always think I can do better at home for a fraction of the cost. But I must admit this visit was an extremely pleasurable experience. Great and knowledgeable staff and ambience. We had lunch and before we were served little samples of the wine , so we knew what would be coming. Yes so wines were absolutely acceptable and so the meals we chose. Calamari served with spicy dipping and fantastic garlic bread. And very important: the batter was delicate and thin ( not “over breaded” like KFC). Then there was the steelhead trout that was excellent as well Deserts there are to die for!!.
Price wise I think the total was very reasonable for what we got. Only slightly negative was that there were a couple of pieces of squid in my portion at least that were a bit undercooked.

A really nice place to go to during the summer months in Deep Cove. They have a big dining room as well as a patio seating area. Even though they are close to the waters, I didn't get that much of a view of the waters, I think it's due to the tree foliage. Might have a better view in the winter.
Food is nice there, very colourful and fresh ingredients. We got the pork chop and steak as our mains. Unfortunately the first steak was completely overcooked, but our server was quick in action and offered to redo our steak. The second time when it came out it was perfect.
Our server was nice throughout and checked up on us to fill water and drinks. I did noticed, however, the windowsill need a good cleaning. As we were seated right next to a window, I saw lots of cobwebs and a few dead flies in between the windowsill. Good thing we had a 4 person bench table, so we moved down away from the window.
Overall it's a nice restaurant to go to for drinks and food during the summer months, and a momentary getaway from the city.

We've been going to this location for over 40 years. Was the best view of Deep Cove.
Restaurants have always been high quality fine dining offerings.
This time, with the Covid rules, the passport system worked efficiently, seating was done quickly. Got our requested table but over the years the trees have grown so tall that they've cut off the view of the bay. Was nice to see the the City has allowed additional sidewalk tables.
Service was friendly and efficient. Portions are huge.
Wife and I split "Spicy Spaghetti" with prawns which was just right for us. Son's "Baked Spaghetti" was huge which he enjoyed very much.
His Partner's "Steelhead" was done to perfection and a generous portion.
Unfortunately the Calamari appetizer tasted old and so did the prawns in our serving of Spicy Spaghetti. Dissapointed.
Desserts were excellent.
Was nice to see that the City has allowed Sidewalk Seating to add the the Ambience of this beautiful area.

Awesome experience. We had guests waiting at our house-otherwise we would have stayed for a full meal. The service is top tier. We were greeted right away. Our server listened to our request and quickly found us a table outside with a fabulous view. She took our order and offered a selection of options while we waited. We selected Beef Carpaccio and two glasses of wine. The selection perfect matched to the wine. The food - tasty and beautifully prepared.Great way to impress your partner!!! Our server had our take out food ready at the time she arranged and we returned home with outstanding food for our guests. My suggestion if you don’t want to cook one evening? Take your wife by the hand and tell her….”I’m going to make one tel call and then I know where we need to go tonight….” Call Arms Reach and if they have room - you are set for the best evening summer of 2021!

Fairly disappointed in this restaurant. I ordered a “Winter salad” for take away and to save you from finding their online menu, the description is the following: Julienne beats, honey crisp apple, shaved carrots, fennel and ricotta cheese. I’ve attached a photo of what I received. Unfortunately, I was already a 15min drive home and couldn’t bring myself to return. I truly hope this was simply a one off but I’m certainly reluctant to go back, considering the salad was $18 to begin with.

I often stay in N Vancouver but usually go into Vancouver or West Van for dining. This time we tried Arms Reach Bistro and really enjoyed the location, the view, and the food. Coming from the East Coast, we came in early for Happy Hour relaxation and then an early dinner. The Happy Hour wine and beer choices were excellent and reasonable. We also ordered the hummas for the table, as well as the calamari off the menu. We enjoyed both, especially the generous portion of well prepared calamari. We had mixed reviews for the cucumber dip among the 3 of us but all agreed it was unusual but OK to good. The wild caught salmon over eggplant puree was excellent, fresh, and very well prepared. The butter chicken was quite spicy but also excellent. We finished with the coconut peach brûlée and that was more than wonderful. Worth the splurge. Overall, a nice dining experience, especially with the great service and the view of the cove.

Upscale comfortable decor, warm and inviting ambiance, phenomenal view combined with 5* service... and the food - in a word, exquisite. This is the bar I will hold all restaurants of this caliber to. The server offered my friend and I our choice of seats to enjoy the view on a rain soaked day. Deep Cove was spectacular. The restaurant felt warm in a sea of chill. Our server recommended the butternut squash soup to warm up, as well as the Argentinian prawn cakes and mussels as we are seafood lovers. We added a beautiful, flavourful beet salad to accompany the seafood and sat back to enjoy it all. The server even thought to bring us a selection of breads to enjoy the broth from the mussels, excellent service! Each dish was perfectly cooked, the flavours mouth-watering, the presentation perfection. Absolutely my new favourite restaurant. Cannot wait to return!

Look, Arm's Reach is a tourist spot with a great patio and ambience, but how they ever got such a high rating on the north shore is beyond me. The menu selections are stale and the food is so-so. It's the only fine dining option in the Cove and the views are beautiful on a warm sunny night. But don't think you're going to have above-average dining experience at this place. The food is ordinary at best. Enjoy the ocean - a good place for a date after a stroll in Panorama Park.

I was super excited to eat here with my 2 friends. I arrived at 11 am as per the website hours listed that they open at 11. This is not the case, they open at 12 noon for lunch.
I was looking forward to having eggs benedict as per the pictures I saw online. However they have a revised Covid menu that does not include this item nor do they have any sandwiches nor do they offer any specials.
So I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken. It was good, but it just need more dressing, so I ordered a side of dressing after I got the salad. The croutons were awesome, the waitress was excellent!
I was surprised to be charged $1.00 for dressing when I received the bill. To be honest I would be totally fine with this charge if the salad was not dry. It just needed more dressing, my salad had patches of bare lettuce!
I drove just over 1 hour to try this spot and I was pumped to eat here. I guess I was just a tad disappointed.
