I decided to bring my friend there who is from out of town for her birthday last night. The food was great. The service was great. I was just a little surprised when I received the bill and we were charged for her birthday dessert. Every time I've gone to cactus club browns or Joey's the birthday dessert is usually free. When I made the reservation through open table, I also indicated that it was a birthday. I'm a little disappointed about getting charged the $12 for the dessert after already spending $130 plus tip. I would have gone elsewhere.

Do yourself a favor and visit the amazing Lobby Restaurant at the Pinnacle in North Vancouver. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience and caters to any specific requirements. The food is absolutely amazing – we were a group of 9 and everything we tasted was delicious. Absolutely one of the best meals you can have in Vancouver. Highly recommend!

I was able to get a gluten free, dairy free meal (curry) here and it was delicious. I felt very safe about it because when I asked about the cooking process for the chicken she said she'd inform the kitchen so they wouldn't cook it on the grill where gluten items had been. I don't usually like hotel restaurants as they can be so dark, but this one has lot's of glass which makes it light and bright. I also found the staff very friendly. One tip is to go ahead and park in the hotel parking as they will deduct the fee from your bill

This restaurant is cozy and has a fairly varied menu. I ordered a cup of the Daily Soup, which was Lobster Bisque and the Mixed Grill, which was comprised of a AAA grass-fed 5oz striploin steak, cascade mountain steelhead salmon, tiger prawns, herb roasted potatoes, grilled vegetables, citrus beurre blanc, cabernet demi-glace. For Dessert, I had the Chocolate Mousse Dome (dark chocolate cake, milk chocolate mousse, raspberry coulis,almond raspberry tuille, mint).
The Lobster Bisque tasted ok. It didn’t have even one nugget of Lobster. The Mixed Grill was average at best. The Steak was pretty thin and cooked medium well, instead of medium, as ordered. The flavour was ok. The Salmon was slightly overcooked and somewhat dry. The Tiger Prawns were the best thing on the plate, which isn’t saying much. The Grilled Vegetables were good, but the roasted Potatoes looked and tasted deep fried, not roasted. The Mixed Grill was average to ok. The Chocolate Mousse Dome dessert was not impressive. It had a hard to crack Chocolate Shell. The Mousse was ok and the dark Chocolate Cake was bland and very dry.
Service was very good and prices were quite reasonable.

Made a reservation for 14 family members to enjoy New Years Brunch and was told that there would be automatic 18% Gratuity, and that the entire table would have to be on one bill with one payment. After a call with the manager we were told the reason was that they were going to be busy and short staffed. We were able to negotiate the policy down to 5 bills with the manager the day before our visit, but we were not very happy about the policy as feel the gratuity should more than cover the inconvenience of separate bills. Upon arrival for our reservation the place was actually quite empty but did get busier later on. The staff were very friendly and the service was good, but I found the food to be sub par. My breakfast was over cooked and swimming in oil. It reminded me of something you get in a cafeteria where the food is pre cooked and sitting in warming pans waiting to be served. My husband’s blueberry pancakes tasted like fish. It was pretty obvious that half his pancakes were either fried in a pan that had fish in it or sat on some surface or plate that had had fish on it. It was disgusting, but he didn’t want to be a bother. In the end we did say something to our server about it, and she awkwardly chuckled and said “weird” and walked away. I was very disappointed when the bill came and we ended up not only paying the forced 18% gratuity but the fishy pancakes were still on the bill. In this day in age where customers are expected to pay more and receive less, I will be finding a better place to spend my time and money.

I had read many reviews of this restaurant and decided to give it a go but unfortunatly I wish I hadn't.
It was a Wednesday night around 7:30 and there was no atmosphere whatsoever. The restaurant was also very cold.
We ordered our meals and they came promptly but both really lacked any flavour. I had a steak and my husband had the duck and the sauces were very weak with just no seasoning or flavour at all.
At the end of our meal we were hoipoing to order dessert but the server was too busy setting other tables for breakfast the next day to pay much attention to us. It took quite a while to get her attention despite being the only customers still in the restaurant at that time.
We left feeling very disaapointed and will not be returning again. I would not recommend this place and I am unsure why they are rated so highly.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel last weekend and the Lobby Restaurant completely made our stay! The staff were incredible, thank you to our amazing waitresses, the food runner, and to the bartender for making us feel so welcome. Customer service here was way beyond our expectations, amazing food and drink knowledge and very genuine; none of the staff felt like they were making fake conversation. Vibrant atmosphere on weekend evenings, and much quieter mid-day during brunch which was also delicious! We love that happy hour starts at 11am 🙌 and that the prices are great for the quality and portion size.
Can't wait to come back 😃

We've had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and they have served us well each time.
For a hotel restaurant we are very pleased with the quality, price and the service of the staff at the restaurant. Given that Lonsdale quay is right out the door with so many other options, I would definitely say it is a convenient choice for us.

My husband and I went with another couple to enjoy what we hoped would be a pleasant meal after skating. We had purchased the Groupon, while our friends ordered off the menu. Our salads and our friends' food arrived at around the same time and then came the long wait with no explanation from the server until after over an hour of waiting, when we were told that there was a problem in the kitchen. By then the restaurant was emptying out and the diners around us were receiving their food. Finally, we asked for our bill as we were tired of waiting and our friends had finished their dinner 45 minutes earlier. They comped us the salad (big deal!) and we paid for our drinks and left. We will not be returning.

Hotel Dining can be a rather ho hum experience but not here. With the fantastic setting of indoor or outdoor dining right at the port and next to Lonsdale Quay gave us a great beginning to our meal. We enjoyed our dinner and were treated graciously. The server Kimmy was very responsive to questions about spiciness and when the kitchen did not comply with the request for a mild tomato sauce on the pasta my meal was comped.

It’s rare to find a restaurant that hits a home run in the food department and scores a slam dunk In the staffing and customer service. The Lobby has delicious food, attentive and kind staff and lovely ambience, all which make for a terrific dining experience. The serving staff take the time to connect with their patrons and deliver a high standard of food service. Amberleigh, Cinnamon and Brett worked hard to make my visits special and memorable. It is clear to see that the employees truly love what they do. You don’t feel like a stranger here; you feel like you belong! That goes a long way for the tired traveller. Thank you!

I’ve gone to this restaurant few times and every time I ate there I regret ! The other restaurants were fully packed and we had to go last night again there . Ofcourse they had table available . The services is good but the foods are terrible ,I felt I threw out garbage 150$ ! Seafoods are pre frozen .They definitely need to change their Chief/ menu if they want to compete with other local restaurant in lower lonsdale !very low quality

We visited the restaurant a couple of weeks ago during the Dine Out Vancouver promotion which offered a three course meal for $35. My wife chose the salad and black cod and I ordered the bouillabaisse and lamb shank and all 4 choices were excellent; the lamb shank was to die for. The restaurant has daily promotions and Wednesday was 40% off all bottled wine. Walking through the adjacent bar area was noisy but once settled, noise was not an issue. Our server Amberlei was delightful.

We ordered the Christmas Dinner to go. . $350 for 6 people. Requested that the turkey be carved. Pick up was easy and efficient. On the plus side: food was plentiful, full size cheesecake (10 slices), mashed potatoes were delicious, gravy was good but very thick and required lots of chicken broth to thin it out. On the negative side: turkey was not carved and was so overcooked the back literally separated from the breast as it was lifted out of the pan. There's not much you can do with a badly overcooked turkey. Vegetables were ok, brussel sprouts, formed baby carrots, corn and beets. Salad was mixed greens with peppers, dates and a sprinkling of pumpkin seeds. The egg nog cheesecake turned into pumpkin and arrived with a strawberry compote? Overall very disappointing. The stuffing received an 'ok' rating but had an unappetizing appearance . . of colorless slices.
To make it right the restaurant offered to 'treat us right' next time we drop in. . .

The portions were small and the quality of their food was poor.
We had mussels and calamari for appetizers. The calamari wasn’t very good and the mussels were small very dry and tasteless.
The halibut mains were also tasteless. The steak and scallop mains had only 3 small scallops, the steaks were overcooked and also very small.
My wife called to complain and was promised a call back from the General Manager. That never happened.
We live in Lower Lonsdale and we won’t be back.
