I can’t really identify exactly where the restaurant is struggling because the food is absolutely fantastic. But it seems there is a problem with staff in the sense that they are all over the place, they are inconsistent in their messaging. They’ll say to some...people “no, you can’t have the patio , as we can’t reserve it” and then we witnessed other people say “yes we do” as far as Staff is concerned. The food was very late in arriving; the wait staff trying their best but it’s like they are miss managed somehow. So if you lower your expectations for hosting and hopes for seating, the food is fabulous and certainly enjoyable. I think it’s a top down problem because the staff is just all over the place. I would hate to see the staff blamed because when the wait staff was at our table they did their very best but you could see the confusion amongst the staff in hostessing and seating arrangements and communication issues. It was our anniversary and we were told three different things and we had booked our reservation a week in advance and even checked in the night before to make sure we still had our reservation and there was still so much confusion. Fabulous views if you get lucky enough to get a seat.More

This is a great place on the water with wonderful views if Vancouver and all that is happening in the harbor. Service is exceptional and the food quite nice. Went for happy hour which was crowded but had a great table. Wine could have been...a little colder but a great experience.More

Covid waittimes and lineup, patio dining only but managed to get a spot after some waiting. The Hostess' were fantastic - and though I came alone I was treated wonderfully. I had the Prawn Pomodoro and it was delicious! I didn't realize they still had...the Dine out Vancouver menu promo going as I would have loved to have had the scallop/prawn linguine which was only available on that menu. Oh well maybe I will just order the Dine out menu next time they offer it! Certainly worth the price and of course I can take my dessert home! The staff were fantastic - I will get names next time (tonite?) because most deserve a mention! The view - well speaks for itself and volumes some sunsets!More

We have been here 4 times over the last couple of months. First 2 lunches were great, largely due to the same fantastic server. The 3rd was fine, the last one was poor. We requested a certain table and were told there were no guarantees,...which we understand. The table we requested was on the main floor, in the sun. We were taken upstairs in the shade. It was freezing cold. There were heaters out there, but none were turned on. The server had no enthusiasm, both food and drinks took forever. Final kicker, when we were taken upstairs and shown our table, we asked for the corner one in the sun, which was empty. We were told it was reserved for the owner, as were other guests who asked to sit there. It was empty for the entire time we were there..........More

Yesterday, we went to meet with friends and they reserved table good for 6 persons. I came in and approach the lady who is at the front in a friendly way and she gave me that tone “Oh you’re with them, you can’t come in...you’re more than 6. Can you go outside and figure out.” She literally told me to leave the restaurant like I’m not a guest and make me figure out the situation all by myself? Why don’t you try and help or accommodate your guest? She literally embarrassed me and my less than y/o son by her tone and gestures with no apologies at all!!!! Will definitely share to everyone I know what happened! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE!! There are more better restaurants at ShipyardsMore

The Mussels, Seared Sablefish, Steak one better than the other. The...dessert could have been a better choice but really after the scrumptious dinner Dessert really did not matter. Pier 7 had an incredible view and food to match for Dine out Vancouver 2021 week 3. Our server Charlie was great and to whom ever was the host gave us the best seats in the house. CLAM CHOWDER local baby clams, bacon, leeks, fresh...cream & dill There was a taste of very thing in each bite and the cream was not overly rich. PIER 7 MUSSELS white wine garlic cream & herb sauce, grilled focaccia  The white wine and cream was very light and accompanied the mussels well. PAN SEARED SABLEFISH daily vegetables, savory herb gnocchi, citrus beurre blanc  The fish was crisp on the out side but like butter in the middle. But the gnocchi was the best part of this meal. 6OZ FILET MIGNON [GF] 6oz certified angus beef, buttery mashed potatoes, fresh daily vegetables, red wine demi glace I had the steak blue rare and it was done to perfection. TWO LAYER CHOCOLATE CAKE berry coulis, fresh berries  NEW YORK STYLE CHEESECAKE seasonal compote, fresh berries, whipped cream  For both deserts the compote and the berries stood out and made it worthy deserts. I would return to try the seafood tower.More

Took advantage of their daily $15 lunch with option for a $5 glass of wine. We had the SALMON FRESH BOWL and the PRAWN LINGUINE and both were excellent and provided great value! The service was attentive and pleasant too, on top of a fabulous...view of Vancouver! We drove 50 minutes to get here and we will certainly be back again soon!More
