usually the rcmp have to shut this place down at closing so sorry for all the people who have to live next to this place and listen to all the violence and screaming. went there once to see their "coronation street" decor which includes pee...stained carpets and ordered their "fried Chicken" there came 4 sad oven baked chicken strips on a plate and the waitress sat down and did a shot at our table. woah.More
So, not a brew pub, they haven’t brewed anything in decades. Just a sad dive bar with cheap booze for drunks on weekends. Owned by people that live in maple ridge and have no respect for the neighborhood. Avoid.
We have supported this pub all through covid! It was great staff and great food. Now still great service...but the packed pub, the good vibe and the great food totally gone down hill! Awfull food...we were so hungry my husband ate the soggy battered fish...and chips...but I couldnt eat it! So i had to go hungry. In the past there food was great...specials every eve...its no more!!!! I told the server it was awful when he checked... no discount. SHAME ON YOU OWNERS!!!! You have now lost long loyal customers who would pay and drink at your pub. Hope you start to realize who is paying your rent!! Wont go again! DISCUSTINGMore
Good food, good service but when the lady handed me the Visa terminal, the only option showing was the "tap to pay". Which I did, and after it went through, I asked where the "tip" option was. She told me I had already added a...tip. News to me. But on the receipt, there was her tip! So it appeared to me that she tipped herself on my behalf. She asked if we were tourists (we're not) so maybe this is something she does occasionally. Seems odd.More
We used to make a special trip here for the food but won’t be going again. New management, new rules, not much of a happy hour and appears to have a new chef. Soggy Fish & Chips. Chips where great. Beef Dip flavourless and the...dip had no taste just brown. Used to love coming here for the food and view but things have changed and not for the better. The server was great and had apologized to another customer for the soggy fish. Too bad it appears the care has left this longstanding pub.More
Lovely place, lovely atmosphere ,lovely location . Best bartender/server Donna.!!!!! Just the BEST !!! A pub once known for it’s great food, now it is mediocre at best . What happened to the great menu where is the soup. Oh well just another pub 🥸
The chef at this pub never disappoints. Two of us returned for lunch and once again the service and food were exceptional. This is the place I crave for a great lunch. Fish & Chips were fresh and crispy with a tasty coleslaw and a...creamy tartar sauce. I had a Chicken Quesadilla that is probably the best I’ve ever had. It came with the most delicious side salad with candied pecans, feta cheese, cranberries, red onion, celery and leafy greens drizzled with a light dressing. Our server named Steve was working alone in the pub and it was relatively busy but he was attentive, friendly and prompt. There also is a good selection of beers on tap. I drive over the bridge to eat here. It’s worth every penny. Comfortable, very clean and cozy atmosphere. We’ll be back.More
This was our 4th or 5th visit here, but the first since the COVID shutdowns and reopenings. Lunch was great - I loved the bacon mushroom cheeseburger, and hubby loved his fish and chips. The safety and hygiene measures are good, and they have clear...signage for people to follow, and a sign in sheet for contacting people just in case... Happy to be back and supporting a small local business!More
There is no easier place to get to while walking and or taking the seabus from Vancouver. It is in walking distance to everything and offers a great environment a massive amount of options for excellent prepared food and the staff are absolutely wonderful. If atmosphere Qaulifies this report, as a Resident opposite this establishment the frequent and disruptive operation is a constant slap in the face and is disrespectful of local residents. Management repeatedly ignore Resident concerns about noise and disorderly conduct. This establishment clearly does not enforce...legal "serving it right" and overpours alcohol to it's patrons. RCMP police are in constant attendance ON MOST WEEKENDS, to break up fights and public drunken disorder. The Owners and management have been politely asked to manage their patrons to no avail. Sad.More
My husband and I had dinner at Sailor Hagar's after reading a review in the North Shore News which mentioned that the Sunday special is roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. (Clearly many other people had also read the review as the roast beef and Yorkshire...pudding seemed to be in big demand.) The pub was almost full at 5:30 and the patrons were a mix of young and not-so-young. Despite the fact the pub was very busy, the service was wonderful. Our server was Hayley and she was fast, friendly and welcoming. I ordered the roast beef and it was good, solid comfort food. My Caesar (also on special) was very good. My husband and I enjoyed our experience and will return at some point to try some of the other dishes.More
Cool sports bar/pub with a patio view of the water and dt Vancouver. Ordered wings, perfectly done. The waitress was a little frazzled but the place was packed without much staff to accommodate. Great place for beer, wings and to catch a game.
