Went for dinner with a friend, luckily, there was a table. She and her family always love it - and I was just hopeful about some gluten free options. While the garlic shrimp were delicious - I should have asked about the dairy. I enjoyed the souvlaki. The other food looked great! The service was pretty slow, and our waiter was so bored with life...but we enjoyed the food anyway! I'd go back and make sure that I ordered everything at once - so the server wouldn't have a chance to dawdle or forget we were there.

As Good As It Gets

Highly recommend. Delicious, fresh food that is always a treat to have - try the flavourful Moussaka or succulent Roast Lamb with authentic Garlic Lemon potatoes .. mouth-watering goodness. The Calamari is amongst the best in North Vancouver. Seating is very warm, welcoming and comfortable.. like you stepped into a taverna in Spain or Portugal - perfect for special group gatherings or a quiet, romantic dinner.

Beautiful decor

Friendly service and very good food. There is also a patio but as it was facing the street we decided to eat inside. We enjoyed the calamari as appetizer, chicken soulvaki, lamb chops and roast lamb. Dessert we had their specials.

Very disappointing return visit.

The service was appalling. We had to ask 4 times for water and 3 times to pay our bill. Our friends' main course arrived 10 minutes before ours. Our waitress kept disappearing, she didn't listen, didn't respond to requests and was completely inattentive. Had no idea that a comedy show was scheduled for 9pm, as we weren't advised on booking the table. When we were told about the show we were also told that it would defintitely be inappropriate. THAT is not appropriate. The food was ok. But....Ours was hot, our friends' was lukewarm.

Hi Gilliancarole, I am the owner of Kypriaki and have been for the past 20 years. My apologies for the ball being dropped on you and your group that evening as it is definitely not our intention or what we endorse. With only a few reservations in the books and short one FOH staff member, when we got very busy the team adjusted the best they could under the circumstances. I have since spoken to all of the staff members who interacted with your table, as there were 4 of them, and I also had a chance to view the video of the entire nights service. To be totally honest, I am quite shocked after watching the video as it appeared to me that you and your group were enjoying the evening as you were all smiling and laughing most of the night and it looked like you all had a great time. I did happen to notice though, my staff interacted with your group a total of 47 times with the lead server having 27 of those; to me, that is extremely excessive. I went for sushi yesterday and had only 2 interactions with their staff before paying the bill. I also noticed in the video that there were many times that the staff walked through the dining room with water jugs refilling as they went so if you could be more specific on the the appalling service, I would really appreciate it. It was a mistake for the kitchen to have sent out your friend's food 5 mins and 28 secs before yours and I have since learned that one of the entrees was not quite done when plating and couldn't be sent out undercooked; however, the other items had already been served so my aplogies again for that as this scenario rarely ever occurs. Not sure if the server mentioned (unlikely) in her conversations with you that she took a big fall during your time with us and cut her leg and bruised her arm. Not meaning to downplay her service but just giving you an insight to what happened 'behind the scenes' that evening. Hopefully, you will give us another chance as we are a great restaurant with amazing food and the service staff are typically wonderful individuals and I do hear that often form our guests. They called us on Mother’s Day an hour after we ordered to ask if we wanted to cancel our order as the “kitchen is slammed”. We said no and asked how much longer it would be and she said she wasn’t sure maybe another hour might be longer. The kitchen has to get caught up first. Asked to speak to a manager and was told they are not available. Completely unacceptable.

Mediterranean Jewel in North Vancouver

From the time you are welcomed in to the time you say goodbye, your dining experience here will be delightful. The staff was friendly and efficient. It took some time to get our meal even though there were not too many people but that is a good sign...it means they are making it from scratch! We shared several plates, dredged our delicious pita bread through the hummus and made our taste buds very happy with the rest of their wonderful cuisine.

Went to this restaurant for the first time with indoor sitting only just coming into fruition recently. Obviously the ambience was a bit strange given the forced spacing of all occupied tables, but on the whole it was quite acceptable. We had moussaka (beef) and lamb. Both were delicious and a first was that neither of us could quite finish the helpings! The salad was nice and fresh and the rice and potatoes were very nice. Service was prompt but not intrusive and very pleasant. Definitely on list to do again.

Fun dinner. Good food. Great ambiance!

I have enjoyed eating at Kypriaki for years. Easy parking in the back. Delicious Greek food. Friendly staff. I am a loyal fan of this restaurant. However, what prompts this particular review is tonight when we came in — we were dazzled by the fairyland effect of tiny lights everywhere among the vines on the ceiling and walls. Sheer magic! And their crème caramel was to die for. If you like ambiance with your Greek food - this is your go to place

Best Greek food

We visited the restaurant as it was relatively close to our motel. I must say I have been to Greece 12 times, but I have never had such a good Greek dish. The service was friendly and accommodating. We had the portobello mushrooms for starters, these were sensationally good. Then once chicken souvlaki and once beef souvlaki which were both very good. The point deducted is that no myth beer was served and for the opening hours. Around us, the chairs were already put up, at 8:30.

We catered my mother-in-law's 90th birthday from Kypriaki and everything was wonderful. Dave provided quick and easy communication and the food was amazing. Huge portions and everyone loved their choice. Thank you!

Great place for a quick overnight stop meal

Nice food, not a particularly nice area on the outskirts of Vancouver, the service was slow due to shortages of staff, for us it was a 1 night stop in a nearby hotel and this was nearby, however the food was very nice Turkish style grill and the young man who searched us was extremely nice but under pressure. I would recommend this restaurant for the quality of the very tasty food and reasonable prices

Great Greek

My wife and I stopped and ate at the Kypriaki Grill on Thanksgiving Day. We were not disappointed. We experienced wonderful service and great Greek food. This restaurant is family friendly, and we have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.
