My boyfriend (now fiancé) and I came up here a week ago for a 8.30pm dinner to celebrate our engagement. It was a thursday evening and there were only 3 other parties dining at that time. We appreciated the intimate setting. Upon arriving we were promptly moved to the table with the best view the moment it became available. Dinner... More

Had a lovely lunch here with family just before Christmas. 3 course set menu, which a few twists in the traditional Fabre. Staff were friendly and knowledgable. Good selection of wines and seasonal cocktails. The view was fab! It had been snowing and the forest was ( pardon the expression) "A winter wonderland " It was also clear enough to... More

We booked a Christmas lunch here after reading that it is one of best Christmas experiences in Vancouver. What we experienced was possibly on the of the best Christmassy experiences to be had anywhere. We didn't know that Grouse Mountain is the "North Pole of Vancouver" , so when were arrived for our meal a few days before Christmas, we... More

Great Hot Chocolate muffin and cinnamon scroll after being out in the cold. Take in the view while doing this.

The food is uninspired and served in very meager portions. The one vegetarian option, panisse, was inedible. If you'd like more than a few dinner rolls, you'll be charged extra. Our seats were poor. The dining room was loud. The service was rushed. Meals run $25 and up. I was thoroughly disappointed even though we were there for a special... More

We went to Grouse Mountain excited to do the Grind but found out the trail had closed the day before. We were a little disappointed but decided to ride the gondola up the mountain which was quick. A little expensive ($45) considering it's the off season, and when we went up we were a bit disappointed that the fire pits... More

Hello Lee, We were sorry to hear that your experience wasn't all you hoped. Certainly, this is a time of year when the Resort is very much in transition to our core snow activities. I'm not certain of what day you visited, but we have received loads of snow over the past week! With the change in the weather the... More

The view of the mountains and the city are absolutely outstanding; however, the service is totally the opposite. We celebrated my father-in-laws 70th birthday at this location while he was visiting from Europe. His daughter spent 30 minutes on the phone attempting to place an order of champagne to surprise which she finally managed but apparently she was literally left... More

Hello Tettlley, A 70th birthday is a milestone, and the associated celebration should be a wonderful one. Obviously your experience fell short and we'd really like to get to the bottom of this. Your review was posted to The Observatory Restaurant, but we believe, from the menu item(s) you noted, that you may actually have been in contact with, and... More
