Palki' is a tradition as old as the sub-continent we call India,. It is a carriage, painstakingly made of wood, and decorated with fine stones, intricate carving and adorned with fresh flowers and garlands. It is a vehicle we take on the most momentous journeys of our lives, the one we call 'Marriage'. The Palki also took Nobles and Kinsmen on important tours across the country. Fine Indian cuisine at Palki Restaurant is a similar process. Carefully chosen spices and herbs come together in numerous delicacies both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Very nice indian food in Vancover, we stopped here for our Lunch during our trip to this beautiful city. Space is little small when it is full and you will have to manage food was great and the spread was equally good. The only negative i observed was that the owner of the place was getting little restless when she was serving for an indian group, except that overall everything was great

Our favourite "LOCAL"

This restaurant is a good choice for "Dine n Wine" The ambience is really impressive and customer service is just beyond the expectations. Yes, I definitely would recommend you! The vibrant colours, fresh and rich aromas and tempting flavours are just many reasons to love the spice-laced Indian cuisine. Palki is the perfect place for lunch or dinner, especially with a glass of wine at night time. If you're getting hungry reading this review be sure to pop down Palki.

Delicious Food

I don’t normally do reviews but this time I’m think it’s very important. We are in North Vancouver on business and looked for a good curry house and when I found this little gem of a place on google it lived up to reputation it has. OMG the food is amazing ,service and knowledge was outstanding. We was advised to have the butter chicken and I can understand why. I also tried the lamb korma and both dishes were great value and packed with meat and the taste was fantastic. If there was 1 disappointment was that I didn’t find it earlier in our trip. If I ever come back will definitely be calling back to have more

Great comfort food!

With constraints on dining out and a birthday dinner to celebrate, we went on line to order from Palki and picked up to enjoy at home. The food was absolutely delicious - piping hot, flavourful and plentiful. We had Beef Korma, Coconut Chicken, spinach paneer and the best Naan bread around. We have dined at Palki's through the years and never been disappointed. We also made it a personal mission to support local restaurants during this trying time and hope others will do the same. Thank you for an excellent birthday dinner!

Excellent experience

Was staying in North Van during a recent business trip and based on the reviews had dinner at Palki. The reviews were spot on and it was a great meal. Servuce was excellent - attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent - naan was probably the best I have ever had. A cold Taj Mahal, butter chicken ...I was very pleased. I would return, got value for my money and would not hesitate to recommend to family, friends, clients and colleagues.

PALKI is one of the RARE places

PALKI is one of the RARE places where appetizer to main course to dessert was really good. I usually don't go to the same place when I travel (to try new places) but their food and the nice owners and staff made all the difference. Highly recommended. Enjoy their hospitality 👍🏻

Great Restaurant

What can I say that hasn't been said? I've eaten at Palki’s for about 8 years now and I really love the deliciously prepared dishes, my favorite being the lamb or chicken biryani. The naan bread plain or stuffed is out of this world. I occasionally take some friends there and they fall in love with the food. And their prices are surprisingly affordable. Only well-established and great restaurants like this one stay in business for such a long time. I highly recommend it.

Great lunch buffet

I loved their buffet. Having butter and tandoori chicken as you can eat is simply amazing. The flavors are always on point and they charge good price for the amount of food they offer. My favorite place to have Indian cuisine. I would recommend going there.

Best Indian Restaurant

I have been dining at Palki several times a year for the last 15 years. The owner and his wife are very involved in the operation and take a interest in their guests. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. The atmosphere is better than many other Indian restaurants. I recommend the butter chicken. It is as good or better than I’ve had when traveling in India.

tasty food but so expensive I would not return

Tasty food in a nice environment, but the prices are very high, especially for the tandoori and vegetable dishes like dhal. The prices for these basic items are so high we would simply not return as you feel cheated. A bowl of curried lentils should not cost $15, this is a clear rip off.

Seriously the Best Indian on the North Shore

We love and eat Indian at least once a week. We have been all over India and spent weeks there. This restaurant is the first "excellent" Indian food we found in Vancouver after returning to Canada 10 years ago. Not cheap but worth it

Family Favourite!

This is one of our family’s favourite restaurants! We’ve travelled all over India and rarely found any food better than this. We particularly love the Butter Chicken, the Onion Bajia, Lamb Biryani or any of the lamb dishes, Tandoori Prawns, Aloo Gobi and the delicious Naan, cooked in the Tandoor oven. If you love Indian food you have to go here! It has a very nice contemporary Indian atmosphere and the service is excellent.

Can't go wrong with this place

I hadn't been to Palki for several years, but we were passing by today around late lunch- early dinner time and decided to eat Indian. Great choice. I'd forgotten how good this place is. Best Indian food I've had in years. I'm tempted to give them 5 stars, but no one gets 5. Oh, hell, can't fault 'em. Give 'em a 5.

This place is magical. I have been here over 10 times and every time I have loved it. The food, the service,the drinks and the ambience are truly exceptional. If you not have been here, you are missing out. The owner is a gentleman who brings passion and heart to this restaurant. Bravo Palki..!

30KM round trip - not a problem!

When living on the North Shore Pavlki was a regular destination. Living over town now … Anyhow we were jonsing for great Indian food today so off we went. Just like I remembered it. Nice decor that shows no sign of age. The service remains top notch - and choices aplenty. Chicken Korma & Beef Vindaloo in particular stood out - excellent. Loved our meal and suspect we’ll be back soon in spite of Lions Gate Bridge.
