Great, prompt and friendly service in a bright, big, clean space. Large selection of fresh Korean food served with little dishes of fresh kimchi, pickle radish and many others. This was our 2nd visit, arriving at close to 10pm both times and we were greeted warmly with a pot of hot tea both times and not rushed. We have tried... More

The GamJaTang was a pork bone soup with potatoes and vegetables and rice for just $7.99! It was hot and bubbling when it arrived to the table. The soup wasn’t very spicy but it was oh-so-delicious! I tried a bit of it too and loved how tender the pork was. It fell off the bone and was incredibly tasty. It... More

With branches scattering around the GTA, this ' pseudo-chain ' establishment managed to fill voids in certain area of town and offer decent Korean fare at a slightly raised price point. Our dinner of traditional Korean BBQ beef ribs, spicy tofu and Kimchee soups, grilled Mackerels...etc were nicely and generously augmented with 7 different and tasty side dishes. Overall quality... The galbi tang was so tough, I couldn't even bite into the meet. I gave up eating after trying to chew 2 pieces.

I've been to this place four times in three years and need to warn you that service should not be expected. There is a buzzer system you use to call for service like in Korea. Even though I had visited Korea twice and spent over five weeks there, I haven't acquired an understanding of what is good Korean food (what... More

We went there and kind late. Arrived around 9, and the server seems taking their time. We were so hungry. The pork bone soup was yummy, my bibimbap was nothing special, was tasteless. I guess it's gonna be our first and last.

Think twice before coming to this restaurant! We came here on Sunday evening and received extremely poor service. The place was not full, yet we had to wait for close to half an hour to get service. The ringer for service was constantly going off so I'm sure we weren't the only ones experiencing the lag. When our orders were... More

Avoid if you want an enjoyable night. ~~~~~ Went on a Saturday night. Party of 10 with reservation. I showed up early and a waitress just literally points her finger vaguely to the back of the place. It's my first time there so I wandered as far as the washroom before back-tracking and peeking into rooms to see where this... More

Located at a big Asian mall (First Markham Place), Nak Won is a good Korean restaurant. Reasonably priced, tasty dishes and good sized portions makes this place on your list of restaurants to eat at. They have gyozas - 6 to an order and you can have it your choice deep fried or steamed. Comes with a spicy sauce or... More

This restaurant has both pros and cons. I love the variety of appetizer/side dishes choices at every meal. However, they get our order slightly mixed up every time we go. The first time was missing the noodles in the stone bowl stew. The 2nd time forgot the rice that accompanies that dish. 3rd time they gave me beef on the... More
