Such a scrumptious surprise. Heading east to Nova Scotia, looking for lunch. Tripadvisor brought us to Edwards Bistro. We’ll definitely keep this place on our travel list.

Wonderful home made food and very friendly staff. They were very kind to us and accommodating for our 1 year old. Vegetarian options were thoughtful, tasty, and filling. Thank you for a delicious Sunday brunch!
Cornwall and the Counties are rife with traditional breakfast spots - and some darn good ones at that. But that’s offered at Edward’s Bistro is a departure from the ordinary bacon and eggs special to a more refined and culture brunch selection. The bistro is...relatively small, but not cramped. It’s nestled right in the downtown core. The service I received was genuine, and caring. It feels like a happy place to be. The food was the star of the show. As it should be. The brunch poutine with smoked pork belly and poached eggs with Hollandaise was beyond my expectations, which are generally very high. The Mimosa was a nice treat, too! You need to eat here!More
Heard lots about the place and finally got to try it. The place is very clean all the way from the entrance to the very washrooms. Very cozy inside . You are greeted by extremely friendly Rosie which makes sure that till the minute you...walk out you are totally satisfied. The food . Well I went twice so far and withheld my review to the second time , just in case and I must say it it what it is - extremely yummy . It is inexpensive considering you have a full course meal from entree to delicious deserts . All made right at the establishment. And the ice cream - it’s a wow ! Home made wow . Will be frequenting this place for sure . This is a must try :) enjoyMore
Arrived at around 645 pm. I know this because I made sure it Wasn't a time frame that I could get an unnecessary parking ticket. First impression was exactly what I was looking for. Very modest from the outside with the big ol Edward's sign...hanging high. Once inside I was immediately relaxed and charmed by this gem Everyting was three punch combination perfectly executed followed by a knockout blow to the tastebuds. Rosie and her man weren't the usual hosts. Rosie was over the top with being original and real. We love nothing more than showing true colors from the get go and can't stand fake smiles etc or people just going thru the motions. We both met her husband and Rosie and the waiter I believe the name is Adam and briefly some other restaurant people that were enjoying their meals there all were very very nice. Rosie of course stole the show she was everything you could hope for in a greeter she was sweet, she was sincere, she was very colorful in her storytelling, but the bottom line is she was real explaining how her food process was done up to including her coffee making. All the while listening to this music in the background that we couldn't get our heads around but it was like a love song love song Like a Love Song of rock bands like Nirvana and Metallica but turned into love songs. It really kind of made the place borderline chic and draw the night we were trying to guess what songs were what. Food was out of this world. Spring rolls. A seafood noodle dish. Dumplings. To the chef...I hope your wife realizes how lucky she is to have met you. Lol. I'm kidding Rosie. You two are both awesome.More
Clean, chic interior with several levels for dining. We sat by fireplace and ate on a Saurday night. We enjoyed many choices from the Table Dhote Menu which had a charcuterie board to start with inlcluding cheeses, baguette, olives and aged salami. Then two of...us had escargots which were delicious and other two appetizers were a Caesar salad and house specialty of hand made spring rolls and shumai dumpling. Main courses chosen were a Filet Mignon w a red wine mushroom sauce, delicious mash and a vegetable medley w bok choy, carrot, beets. Second choice of main was salmon filet w a lemon hollandaise and. Thirdly chosen was two plates of the seafood monterosa pasta dish which came with at least 4 giant shrimp, sea scallops and salmon pieces in a rose sauce over fresh tagliettelle pasta.... Amazing service from the owner Rosie and all desserts served to us were house made which included white chocolate cranberry cheesecake, chocolate mousse cake, carrot cake and a dessert called leche flan which was like a cross between creme brule and a flan sweet. A great red wine bottle was served to us and total with tip was $225. An amazing meal, exceptional service and perfect price for quality and taste of our meals. Bravo!More
A hidden gem for Cornwall. A must see and experience. Our service was exceptional and the food was delicious. Thanks for everything well definitely be back.
This place has gourmet fare at very reasonable prices! My kids ask for their homemade icecream and donuts and their juicy burgers all the time! We love this place!
Ordered their 6pc fried chicken. It came with a Caesar salad and fries. The salad and fries were very good. Most of the chicken was good but not all of it was cooked through. One of the pieces of chicken was not cooked all the...way through and was still bloody.More

A fitting way to celebrate Phase 3 was our excellent dinner at Edward's. As usual, we had excellent service and the food was delicious and plentiful. We will be dining out on the leftovers for at least two meal! However, what made the evening for...us was seeing Jason & Rosie back in their element. So lucky to have them!More
Last night we enjoyed Edward's Saturday Night Table d'hôte, at home naturally, and it lifted our spirits immeasurably. We feasted on prepared 'a la minute' dishes such as very more-ish chicken wings, succulent short ribs, irresistible desserts and much more. So happy to see Rosie...and Jason carrying on with their usual excellence and good humour and so very lucky to have them. We will back back soon and often!More
I have been here several times. The food is always amazing, service and prices are great! Great daily special to choose from during the week and they sometimes hold events with live music.
Ate there after they first opened and the food was amazing. Unfortunately customer service is a zero. Two incidents while trying to make reservations. Firstly we tried to make reservations on New Years eve. The online reservation setup was a nightmare. Constantly sending us on...a wild goose chase to confirm. In the end I decided to call directly to make reservations. I was then told by the owner I can only make a reservation online. I guess in today's age speaking to a human to acomplish a task is not practical. Needless to say we went elsewhere for New Years. We decided to give it a second go for valentines. We did all the proper procedure as per request. There was still some confusion and instead of our 7pm reservation which had been confirmed for 4 people it was changed to an 8pm reservation. We had in writing requested upstairs which we also had confirmed. When we arrived they were only expecting two people and they only had a table downstairs. When we spoke to the owner he was rude and disrespectful. We were told he couldn't guarantee a table. Im pretty sure thats what reservations are for. That's it for us for eddies bistro. We went to schnitzels and had a fantastic evening. Thank you very much. If you wish to keep your customers perhaps you should think about matching your customer service to the care and quality you put into your food!More
