We needed to stop and eat coming back from the PEC area on our way to Montreal on a Sunday and decided on Cornwall. Good choice! Lo and behold, the Sheep's Head was still opened for lunch. We were greeted with welcoming smiles. We were...in luck: Sunday = brunch. A great little menu was offered. My spouse choose the veggie omelet and I had one of the oeuf benedictine or "benny". We both loved our selections and enjoyed great service. No doubt we'll stop here again when on the 401.More

We have been to Sheep's Head on several occasions and have yet to be disappointed with the food, the service, the atmosphere and the generous, delicious quality of their feasts. Starting with the caesar salad(best in area), let their imagination in the kitchen surprise you....Just don't order the steamed cheesecake.....save it for me!More

While still in lockdown, my wife and I decided to have a date night at home and enjoy some take out. On social media I saw that Sheep's Head Bistro was offering a Pho soup and a bahn-mi sandwich for two. We typically enjoy these...sandwiches in Montreal but with lockdowns, we haven't been able to get one for over a year now. So we placed our order not knowing exactly what we would get. Well the chef at Sheep's Head knocked it out of the park. The beef Pho soup was an amazing combination of flavors. It included rice noodles and shaved roast beef. The sandwiches were next level delicious. The chef made his own marinated Japanese radish and carrot and the pork was unreal. These were simply the best Bahn-mi sandwiches we ever had. No matter what you order here the food is always fantastic. Once we exit lockdown, please give this place a try and you will not be disappointed. Make sure you make reservations.More

Group of 4 dined this evening at Sheep's Head Bistro. My first time there. Had reservations, were sat and ordered in no time. I ordered the sweet heat wings as an app and had the pork tacos. The wings were unbelievable and the tacos were...a hit. Very warm atmosphere and service was top notch. Rurban pale ale and the old fashioned were tasty. Can't wait to go back!More

I have been frequenting Sheep’s Head Bistro since its establishment in 2015 and til this day, I can confidently say that no other restaurant in the Cornwall area can put out comparable dishes or service. The dining area is charming and quaint, the dinner features...are always refreshing and daring, and the service is second to none. Thank you Sheep’s Head Bistro for continuing to provide excellent food and service even during these uncertain and difficult times!More

Thanks again to everyone on the team for the amazing service and meals when taking care of our take-out meals almost every week during COVID. We are so happy that you guys have reopened and we enjoyed 2 indoor dining experiences - for an amazing...brunch, and for 3 couples to get together to celebrate a birthday. Our friends who are vegan were very excited that you guys were able to customize their meals for their dietary restrictions.More

4 of us travelled to Cornwall from various places to meet up for the first time in months. The restaurant is a nice place, near the water, and well set up for physically distanced dining. The service seemed a bit bumpy with one server drowning...us in water and some timing issues. Today's was a new menu; one appetizer came out well ahead of the others but it wasn't really an issue for us as we were happy to talk to each other. The mains were generally good. The scallop with mushroom risotto, chicken two ways, and pork belly tacos were very generous portions. The risotto was incredible; great mushroom flavour and lots of mushrooms! The scallops were nicely done but could have had a bit more sear. The chicken two ways was only one way tonight due to a broken rotisserie. The crispy skin was great but was drowned in gravy (insert sad face). Desserts were limited to plain cheesecake with various toppings and a tiramisu. The cheesecake was good and the strawberries were a lovely accompaniment. The tiramisu was very large and tasted like a nice light cake but lacked the mocha hit one expects. When asked if we liked it we said "could use more coffee". This resulted in a bit of a tirade from the server about this being a recipe from an old Italian lady in Halifax. That's nice but it still didn't taste like tiramisu which (if you want to know) we've had from other old Italian people we know. It was a bit of an odd response and he was quite strident about it. Kind of killed the mood. Don't ask if you don't want feedback. So, this place deserves another try but they've got room to grow.More
