Spent $50 on a steak that was supposed to be medium rare but came back as well done. Paid extra for sauted garlic mushrooms which were literally chopped boiled mushrooms that were cold and not seasoned at all. The mashed potatoes were gritty and everything...just was lukewarm. My colleague had a pasta which was so oily that she was sick after. The food was not good. The service was efficient and friendly which is the only reason why the review has 2/5 instead of 1/5. Very disappointed and wasted $100 on one person with terrible food. The gluten free cheese cake is disgusting so dont bother, so underwhelming. Any chain restaurant is better than here.More

Overpriced. VIsit this restaurant often when visiting Cornwall but taken aback on this visit due to price of Stella beer, $12.95 plus tax, plus tip. Beer was underpoured (below marking on glass). Waitress said prices went up and this establishment was one of the least...expensive in Cornwall. Food was fine, service was OK otherwise. Waitress said the restaurant was independent from Best Western. Definitely, not up to par.More

Fantastic atmosphere and delicious food! Recommend asking for a table near the fireplace for the ambience. Quick service!

We were here over month ago and decided to reserve a table once again. The resturant was packed with wedding guests and were departing as we arrived at 630. Our waitress, Bailey was fantastic throughtout the service and always smiling. My better half stuck to...her steak and I tried the Seafood Fettuccini. The steak was cooked to perfection and her caesar salad was fresh and delecious. I expected large shrimp and scalops as posted in the picture for their site. Unfortunately the seafood were the size of large beans and the fettucini was slightly under cooked. I didnt want to fuss and because the sauce is so exceptional I lapped it all up. We have had a great shrimp cocktail in the past but they never made it to my dish. Would I return, absolutely. You just cant beat the ambiance and service. Id recommend you make a reservation so as to not be off guard .More

Its been years since weve eaten here as we stayed here for a week back then, the food was great then . We decided to try it again. Junior was our server and didnt dissapoint. The food was outstanding with ample quanties and prices were...reasonable. We had a 10 oz steak, shrimp cocktail, garlic bread ,caesar salad, extra gravey and a fettucini alfedo with chicken to die for which I couldnt finish. Everything was cooked to perfection. 2., 1/2 liters of wine for all under 125. To coin a phrase " WE'LL BE BACK"More

Friendly service however the food was generic at best. The BBQ ribs (they were out of the “supreme chicken”) were okay but bland and boring, the sauce (BBQ) came straight out of a bottle. My wife’s shrimp meal was too salty.

My husband and I are travelling across the country and tonight was our last stop before returning home . We are staying at The Best Western and decided to try the on-site restaurant for a late supper , the manager brought our drinks as the...waitress was busy doing room service orders. My husband asked for a glass but it never came , he went up and got one himself . Also no on tap beers were available as the fridges were being redone . The restaurant was extremely quiet , only a handful of tables were occupied. The waitress finally took our order . We only wanted a couple appetizers, 8 wings and an order of nachos . After 40 minutes our simple order had not arrived and the table beside us received their order even though they came in several minutes after us . I cannot rate the quality of food as it never arrived . The waitress who brought our drink bill did seem sympathetic and friendly. I hated to end our trip on a sour note , but this experience certainly was irritating .More

We went for a small car ride and decided to eat the Hops & Barley. Some of us had an item from the breakfast menu and other took the buffet. The food was excellent. The place looks really nice with the lovely fire place.

For a relaxing meal try the H&B Restaurant in Cornwall. This restaurant part of the BW Plus Parkway motel which is the best place to stay in Cornwall. Try the Pan Seared Scallops. Scallops perfectly cooked and topped with bacon jam...yup, bacon in a bold...bbq sauce made this a perfect meal. They have a great selection of wines to compliment your meal. Sit in lounge area for cozier setting.More

Ate breakfast here while staying in the hotel. Although it was a buffet, the wait staff were very attentive and made sure that coffe was topped up and that we had what we wanted. My wife wanted soemthing that was not on the buffet and...the staff was able to get it for her with no problem. Nice atmosphere to have breakfast in.More

I last ate here when this place was called the Parkway (Brownies) over 40 years ago, for good reason. I was enticed by their on-line menu to go there for a Cobb salad, one of my favourite summer time lunches...but the waitress said that's been...off the menu for quite a while!!! So disappointed, I settled for a poutine. I may as well have ordered a bucket of salt instead. It was inedible. Though I tried to get some of it down, I left about 2/3 in the bowl. Fortunately, my wife had something more edible, a quesquidilla with beef, salsa and sour cream. She did say it was tasty, but she too would prefer to not go back. We were the only people in the restaurant during lunch which is a good hint about quality...everyone stays well away.More

I was happy to take my father to your sunday brunch because I've been there many times and have always been satisfied. This sunday things were different!! They trays were barely filled, they kept on runnjng out of stuff and my husband had to ask...for more. It took literaly 10 minutes to get more bacon in the tray.Other clients were doing the same thing. They even ran out of bread...unacceptable in a buffet...unnaceptable for father's day. Even the cook said that the kitchen staff was overwhelmed. And don't blame it on being a busy day because it wasn't at the time we arrived! Very disapointed!!More

There were so many choices on the menu, it was hard to choose. The server appeared quickly and explained anything on the menu. She suggested the Soup of the Day and it was excellent. My husband had Shepherds Pie, the soup and an order of...homemade chips. Our grandkids split a Fish and Chips dinner. The fish was really good and serving was good. I ordered the vegetable stir fry with shrimp, perfect size and tasted great. The server noticed we were working to keep the food dishes away from the kids so she brought an extra table to give us space. My husband had a local beer that he declared to be very good. Price was reasonable and we would definitely stop again if in the areaMore
