Very traditional “old school” Greek steakhouse - while some may say it needs a reno I thought the fake vines were part of the charm!
Looks aside - the food & service stands for themselves. Our party of two had the prime rib & chicken souvlaki and shared the calamari. It was all delicious and a perfect top to a long summer day. I appreciated the long list of wines by glass which included many local options. Resos a MUST in the Summer.
The table next to us was unruly & rude however the restaurant staff never flinched and calmly managed the group without disturbing others. Kudos!

I've been coming to the Diamond almost every year since I was about 5 years old, and can say that it is still, and has always been one of the better restaurants in Osoyoos. I love the food and the atmosphere, and have always had excellent service. The pizza, lamb and prime rib are excellent, but you also can't go wrong with their appetizers. They have a lovely wine list for those who don't want to buy a full bottle, but if you do buy a bottle and don't want to drink it all, they will cork it so you can take it home. The prices are a little higher than I like to spend, but I appreciate that this is a tourist town where the restaurant still needs to maintain staffing levels to stay open in the off-season. This is a family owned restaurant that really works hard to train and keep their staff, and who do provide good customer service even during the busy summer season. Had a wonderful B52 coffee at dinner last visit and was way better than the local Owl Pub.

Staying overnight in Osoyoos we needed a place to eat. The Diamond came first on Google Maps so we called them and learned that, the coronapocalypse notwithstanding, they were open for dine-in. We found the obligatory COVID-necessitated table spacing but were seated almost immediately and served courteously and competently by Emilio and our table was bussed by an earnest and efficient young teenager. My filet was tasty and cooked to perfection. Though we spend lots of time in Greece itself, my wife’s moussaka was also good. Was pleased that they carry Volkan beer from Santorini to go with my steak. All in all, it was a pleasant dining experience and the establishment seems to be adapting well to the new COVID rules and requirements. Will definitely stop in again next time we are in town.

I should have known better than to order baked lasagna at a place that specializes in Greek food. It was terrible. It was almost exactly like Chef Boyardee ravioli “meat” (microscopic nuggets) sauce was poured under some noodles. My husband‘s chicken Cordon Bleu was definitely not freshly prepared, was probably something that was thawed out and reheated.
On the upside our server was a very sweet lovely person, service was very quick on a very busy night.

The food was very tasty and the potions were large. Great for a big eater and your taste buds will be tempted to go the extra mile to sample the many dishes. I have been eating here for 40 years and have always enjoyed the food and service. Great choice for a family or an intimate dinner for two.

Sadly , I won’t return.. After coming to this restaurant for years we have noticed a decline in the food and of course the pricing has understandably gone up. Last weekend I brought in 4 guests for a special occasion. Our service was pretty good but we had to ask for water.Four of us asked for the fish special. One had the ribs. The fish was okay but one had the fish that seemed like it had been precooked and taken out of the fridge. It was cold so a hot dish was then brought. One lady asked for rice but we all got hard baked potatoes and barely cooked carrots. My potato tasted mouldy and did not look very good when I peeled back the foil. The salads were swimming in dressing and two people had asked for it to be “ on the side” but it was not. The tzatziki sauce also had very little flavour. The stack of supposed garlic bread came as dry toast with NO butter and underneath the stack of old toast was a dried up piece of Pita bread that should have gone into the garbage. Definitely not a stellar meal and I felt embarrassed to bring my guests there for the special occasion.

We were in town for the Half Corked race so took advantage of local restaurants. We made reservations for Diamond Steak House for 6pm on a Sunday. It was quite busy when we arrived, they tried to first seat us at a 4 seater jammed in between two tables at an angle with the other patrons less than a foot away, could barely move my chair. We asked to move to a booth which they accommodated. Once seated, the server came around with menus and we ordered drinks, they seemed really frazzled and made me feel rushed. We ordered various steak dishes which were quite good. Sides included salad, baked potato and veg. Lots of toppings. While seated and waiting for our food, the table seated near us had two separate servers come to take their order, causing some confusion. They could use more staff I think, a common challenge these days. Food was good though.

Having frequented many Greek restaurants, this one rates. The calamari appetizer was wonderful. Then we had fresh hot out of the oven we were given the two pitas that came along with our meal. Wow!!! Also the Chicken Souvlaki was very tasty and wonderfully prepared. The chicken was already removed from the scurs, which made it so much easier to eat. Overall, a wonderful experience.

With 2 celiacs in the family this place has been our Osoyoos vacation go-to for years. Food was still safe but has got incredibly expensive and I'd think twice about going there again now. Decor and plating is very dated and for those prices ($35 for souvlaki, rice and salad) quite frankly I want more.
Gluten free menu available but be aware that they have just copied and pasted items from the main menu. So whilst they are celiac safe and staff were knowledgeable when questioned, the GF menu does not represent what you will actually receive, eg they still said the platters included pita bread and potatoes - not true.
Better dessert options needed too, whilst I appreciate Chapman's ice cream as allergy friendly, again at that price point I expect them to go above and beyond

Came with my husband and two children. The wait for drinks Alone was too much and even worse for food. I expected high quality steak being a steak house as well as based on the very high prices, it was a disappointment. The chicken cordon bleu was better but overall, a frustrating, slow and poor steaks for an astronomical bill!

The meals we had were very tasty, steak cooked as ordered and perfectly. They surprised me at the end of the meal with a delightful piece of cake for my birthday. It was all delicious. Server could have checked our drinks part way through the meal, however with covid and the desire to distance I understand the least amount of contact is the best.

We were just supposed to drive through Osoyoos heading to the Coast, but we decided to spend the night.
While driving around town we spotted this restaurant and decided to try it
The service was great, courteous and quick to check our passports. We had a table off to the side of the Fire Place which was started shortly after we arrived.
We made a reservation at talking with the person at the front desk at our hotel, and we glad we did.
Now we don’t know for sure but it looked like those who made reservations were seated by the fireplace but we could be wrong. We made reservations for 5:pm and as we left just after 6:pm, the restaurant was very, very busy ( Wednesday)
The food was fabulous and this was our first nice restaurant meal in over 2 years.
I would highly recommend Diamond Steak & Seafood House. Fabulous
Thanks for the great evening.

We the ordered lasagne for dinner tonight. It was all noodles with a thin layer of sauce and cheese on top. The garlic toast was dried out and hard with no flavour. The sauce was good in the lasagne but for $26 it reminded me of cheap frozen lasagne at the grocery store. Super super disappointed as over the years we have ranted and raved about the how wonderful the food is at Diamond. We told all friends it was a must place to eat when visiting osoyoos. We don’t recommend it anymore.

We visited the Diamond based on several good ratings and reviews (understanding that this is not always relevant in today’s market), but were regretfully surprised by the experience. The room is extraordinarily dated, which is the first and very least of the prospective consumer’s concern. The weathered carpets, booth seats and otherwise don’t add to the ambiance.
The food; it’s passable for a roadside diner or truck stop, but barely. However, you will pay steakhouse prices. We ordered a lot of food, and without being specific, the quality of the product served is certainly not a priority here. This is especially disappointing, since there are so many opportunities to acquire fresh produce and meat from the farms nearby. As an interesting side note - there were about 40 cases of their “house made vinaigrette” stored in boxes from a supplier in the hallway leading to the restrooms..
The drink; despite an elaborate menu, was frankly disappointing, after ordering some “house specialties” that turned out to be sugary variations of otherwise classic cocktails.
The service; sincere, and somewhat intuitive. Certainly the only redeeming quality of the experience.
Overall, as a “top rated” restaurant in Osoyoos, I say this is boldly erroneous, and I concede that online platforms are primarily to blame, but COME ON PEOPLE!
Clearly a lack of competition, and an aging market share has contributed to their success, but I fear this will not last forever. Hopefully there is still time for the Diamond to change it’ ways.

We ordered a 6 oz New York steak with salad and baked potato, plus the Lamb chops dinner. When at home we take a shortcut and cook our potatoes in the microwave. They are fine but they are not fluffy, so when I have the chance I get a baked potato in a restaurant. The potato in this case was also cooked in the microwave; the steak was fatty, and yes, the garlic toast was cold and dry. My wife's lamb chops were better and its hard to spoil a Greek dinner. But sorry, highest rating I can give is Average.
