This was our second visit to Conviva after the first time on a trip through Osoyoos 2 years ago. The experience begins with the warm and welcoming presence from the owner Joanne. Four of us dined here with exceptional service, food preparation and presentation. The...8oz striploin steak was grilled perfectly to medium rare as ordered with frites crispy outside: and soft inside. The scallops and prawns dish included lemon risotto and shaved parsnip strips. Our friends said the French onion soup was delicious. There were no issues at all with the meals or service. Our server, Miranda, was professional and warm but also was very skilled at participating in on our table banter. She was charming and delightful. The interior ambiance is intimate with discreetly divided (but transparent) partitions which offer distinct characters including a Parisian-style canopied room facing the street. Interior materials and finishes only add to the experience in the entry pathway alongside the kitchen. The owner definitely has the skill and aptitude to craft an amazing experience - we will return again!More

There was 4 of us for dinner and we all loved it, from service to food. We all tried different things. The escargot was delicious, garlicky and nice and salty. The French onion soup was rich and hot. The tartiflette was rich and so delicious!...I tried the cassoulet and it was spit on, very classic dish. Scallops and prawns were beautiful. Our server was French and she had such a great character. I would highly recommend this placeMore

Four of us had a reservation for dinner on Saturday, the 19th of February. Being Family Day long weekend, the place was packed. We were seated promptly. Our waiter was an issue from the beginning. First of all, there was definitely a language barrier. He...did not fully understand when we requested information on specific dishes and furthermore his knowledge of wines was minimal. He was in a great rush the whole time and was frustrated if we tried to take time to decide on both the food, drinks or wine. He took our food order without writing it down and then returned 20 minutes later to ask us to repeat our orders. He had clearly forgotten them. When our first course arrived it was clear he had it wrong. Two of us had ordered the Chef’s Soup Creation and one had ordered the French Onion Soup. All three were the creamed vegetable soup. I had asked whether there were “carbs” in the vegetable soup and he clearly had no idea what I meant. I then asked if it had potatoes in it to which he responded “no”. I’m not quite sure about that. The problem didn’t end with the soups. They arrived luke warm. Since our waiter appeared to be so harried, we decided not to bring it up and just eat the warm, not hot, soup. Three of us had ordered the Fisherman’s Offering which was poached cod. These also arrived Luke warm. I refused to eat another warm, not hot, meal and asked our waiter to send it back to be heated through. He was clearly not happy with my request. I then sat for over 20 minutes while my friends ate their dinners, waiting for my heated meal to arrive. Once again, the waiter was quite obviously ticked when he brought it to me. The food was very average. I did not have the risotto but my husband told me it was mushy. Overall we all agreed the whole experience was less than average. We will not return.More

We wanted a quiet romantic dinner and we got it! Service was not rushed because we want it that way. Friendly staff and owners. Great French Cuisine. We were really impressed. The Italian dishes provide an option for everyone and are also very good. Very...enjoyable and well priced. Strongly recommend. This was on first time and we will be back!More

Kind of lackluster. Overall experience was so-so. Not bad, but not a place we would go back to or recommend. It looks cute and cosy from the outside but unfortunately the food did not live up to expectations

My wife and I are frequent visitors to Osoyoos and she has wanted to visit Convivia for quite some time. However, based on the number of recent poor reviews, I was hesitant in wanting to go there. We were going to take another couple to...celebrate their 25th Anniversary and they and my wife outvoted me. I am glad they did. The entire evening from start to finish was very enjoyable. When we arrived, we were greeted promptly and asked for our vaccine passports and ID’s before being seated. All of the front of the house staff were masked. Our server was very professional and always showed up to our table at the right time - without hovering over us. Everything we ordered arrived at the table in a timely manner, yet she still gave us ample time between courses allowing us to have a very unrushed and relaxed experience. As for the food, everything we ordered was served at the right temperature, well presented and tasty. We all found the portion sizes to be generous and when each course was served, each guest’s item arrived to the table at the same time. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Convivia and would return again! Thank you to everyone who helped make our evening so enjoyable!!More

It was our 25th anniversary which we told them when booking reservation. We arrived and got seated but completely ignored for almost 30 minutes. Finally we grabbed a random person to order our drinks. Then another person came over for our food and wine order...and then another person came by to say he was our waiter (who we had not seen until that moment) and he did not know the other person placed our order already. It was a gong show with everyone running in circles and not one mention of our anniversary. We intended to have a wonderful relaxing dinner with appy's and dessert but we could not get out of there fast enough, so we just had our main. Also they had the heat up to 30 and the lights on full, no ambiance what so ever. Very disappointing indeed.More

Food and service was very good- thats the 1 star. Absolutely no Covid protocol- except for the obligatory mask sign on the front door. When we entered we all had our necessary information re vaccines at the ready. We were told they would be checked...once we were seated — never happened and I never saw anyone else being checked!!!! They were more interested in getting patrons in and out— no interest in our safety— STAY AWAYMore

An unexpected fabulous dinner out at Convivia which allowed our pet to be with us, even without reservations. Our waiter Jamie was excellent with his non intrusive service and courteous approach to our questions and his recommendations. We had a refreshing Sangria along with sharing...a fresh Capri (caprese) salad. My wife's Steak Frite was grilled perfectly and I really enjoyed their Cassoulet..the first time for me. It was delicious. Home made sausage in the unique dish. Compliments to the chef..and many thanks to Jamie for his service. Will return when in Osoyoos again. A must visit. Reservations recommended.More

dinner arrived after 1 hr of waiting. the FOOD WAS COLD - apparent it sat under the heat lamp. The lamb shank was COLD....spaghetti was SALTY and was small bay shirmp NOT prawns. Ordered escargo for appetizer but NOT served with garlic bread. It was...more than apparent that they had a corporate party. IF YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A LARGE PARTY, then reduce the size of the remainder of the dining/diners so that the kitchen staff AND wait staff can devote the APPROPRIATE AMOUNT OF ATTENTION to the guests.More
