Had a mixed experience at CBC, on the positive side, service and staff was very friendly if somewhat slow. With regards to the food, positive reviews for water melon salad, spaghetti bolognese, and the scallops with prawns. On the negative side my veal osso was...quite tough and my partners lasagna lacked flavor and needed more cheese. So as you can see I was quite torn about rating this restaurant, would probably not return.More

This will not take long to write. We arrived at our reservation time of 7:10 and we left 30 minutes later having been served a glass of water in that time. We cannot review the food because our very useless waiter chose to ignore us....We watched him pour wine three times for the couple next to us, serve them their main course, made eye contact with us a few times but just simply ignored us. So we walked out. Fine dining such as they are presenting themselves to be should never entail the customer having to plead to have at least their drink order taken. It also should not be the case where the waitstaff can pick and choose which tables the deign worthy of their time. Unfortunately, it appears that this restaurant accepts that level of service as normal. Such a shame because a friend had recommended this place to us, so we were looking forward to a memorable dining experience. Well, we got one, just not a good one.More

My friends and I went to celebrate a birthday. We felt like we were rushed through. We ordered cocktails which were slow in coming but excellent. When our waiter took our drink order he asked if we wanted any appetizers. We told him that we...would just be ordering our main dishes. He asked if he could take our order right then which was odd as you usually expect to get your cocktails first and then order your meal. We assumed he would hang onto the order for a bit. We also asked that he not take the wine list away as we would be ordering wine with our meals. Our entrees came out minutes after our cocktails were served. We said we would wait until our cocktails were done to order wine. He never came back to ask about the wine. He missed offering the soup or salad that came with the special (we saw it on the board after we finished our meals). He forgot the bread we ordered as well. The half of the table that had the pasta were very happy with their meals. The other half had the steak frites that were featured and were very disappointed in their meals. The french fries were not great and one steak had a lot of grizzle. We had mentioned it was a birthday and nothing was offered for the person celebrating their birthday and in fact, a dessert menu was not even offered. We got our bills and left - we were out of there in a hour! Not the leisurely meal we had hoped for. It was very disappointing as my husband and I had been there a few years ago and had an amazing experience. I think we were served by the owner that time. Sadly, I don't think any of us in our party of 6 will be back.More

A winning combination of excellent service and very good food. I really enjoyed the goat cheese salad - absolutely delish!

From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, it's a 10/10. Initially from the service, then to the food, ambiance and vibe - this is everything a restaurant should be. Everything done perfectly, right down to the music, setting and cleanliness. Gluten...free options weren't a problem, very accomodating. Cannot fault. We were wine touring with visiting European friends and found this such a gem of a place to dine. Crazy large 8 oz steaks were truly superlative and other chicken and prawn dishes were perfection. Our guests loved the casual delivery of wonderful service and...attention to service details. The wine list and desserts were delightful and we certainly would go to this place again next time. I had the vegan roast of lentils. This dish was worth about $5 not $25. I think the vegetables were a frozen mix out of a bag and the so called vegan roast was covered in a jarred pasta sauce - very disappointing We will...never return.More

We made a reservation for 4.30pm (opening time) - when we arrived there was already a queue outside the door! So - first advice is to make a reservation. The meal was simply amazingly good and the cost was actually similar to the cost of...a pub meal which we ate the previous evening. Watermelon salad was a revelation and large enough to work as a shared starter. A side of bread works well to mop up excess dressing. Prawns and Scallops and cannelloni were well executed mains. The house wines are reasonably priced and of a reasonable quality. The server deserves a mention - Miranda was beyond excellent. Attentive but not obtrusive. She also dealt with the most obtuse questions accurately and honestly. She would not be out of place in a big city, big ticket establishment. If you are in Osoyoos I strongly recommend a trip to Convivia.More

The restaurant was full of happy people, but still the hostess found us a quiet table. Our waitress was experienced and attentive. The servers were great. The food was superb and on time - BUT - what really brought joy to our faces was the...dessert - a trio of mini selections, perfect, warm, and delicious. We shared but my partner insisted on one each when we come again.More

We were a large group and booked last minute. The restaurant was very accommodating. The service and food were fantastic. The prices were very reasonable. Thank you for fitting us in. We all enjoyed it.

We had a reservation but the people without a reservation, who budded in front of us, got sat first and the hostess and manager were not that nice about it when I questioned why. We are locals and have spent many special occasions at this...restaurant and I'm disappointed that the level of service is not what was in the past. The menu has also changed and the food was just okay.More
