We have been at Spirit Ridge for the last week and did not want to leave without trying the restaurant. Unfortunately there has been an air quality warning due to extensive forest fires south of the border. The sky has been hazy and the air is thick with unhealthy particulate. We were able to secure a table indoors, away from the smoke. The menu is innovative, drawing on local products and aboriginal influences. The wine list showcases many local wineries. All in all we enjoyed a very nice dinner. The restaurant made great effort to respect covid protocols with masks and distancing. It did not detract from the overall experience. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was very good and each plate thoughtfully constructed. We will return

Patio restaurant with many stand up umbrellas to protect from the hot sun. Other tables were either under a shade tree or under cover near the wine tasting building. Very comfortable seating. Sweeping views of Osoyoos and vineyards. We had a lovely polite server, refills of tall cold bottle of still water, and wine or beer were available. Mk'Nip is a vineyard. We both ordered the Brant Lake Waygu beef burger, mine with a fresh green salad with a cherry vinaigrette on the side. Loved it.

We truly enjoyed our dinner on the patio last night. The halibut was cooked perfectly, as were the other dishes our friends ordered as well. They have a great local wine list. Our server, Carlin, was excellent and suggested some wines that paired well with our food.

This restaurant lacks the service or food quality you would expect for the pricing. As per usual covid experiences, a patio dinner with an amazing view. Asked if they have blankets as it was cold, but were told that they couldn’t provide blankets because of Covid. If you don’t have blankets just say so. Blaming Covid because you don’t have customer amenities is lame. Food took 80 minutes to arrive from ordering. It wasn’t busy…. When the food finally arrived one of the entrees was served cold. When asked about our dinner, we pointed it out, but they just said it was early season. Guess that’s okay then? My wife’s salmon had bacon bits on top. It didn’t work. The dessert experience wasn’t better. Plating was very attractive, but quality of taste, time to serve, and the likelihood that at least one entree sat for a long time to cool down and congeal made for a mediocre meal. The lack of interest or attention by the serving staff was noticeable. A disappointing experience….

Thank you for making Nk’Mip Cellars and our Patio Restaurant a part of your experience while in Osoyoos. Thank you also for taking the time to let us know about your experience during your visit. This year we are excited to be able to offer our guests dinner on our Patio for the first time in several years. You were one of our first guests to experience this new service and based on your feedback we encountered some challenges in offering our customary level of service that evening. We sincerely apologize for falling short of both yours and our expectations as it does not reflect our usual reputation. Your valuable feedback has aided us in guiding our staff in delivering a better overall service. We hope you will join us again in the future. Sincerely, Troy Ravndahl Estate Manager

Called for reservations 2 1/2 weeks a head of time because I wanted the best view for my fiancé birthday. I was super excited we would get the best view knowing I made reso's a head of time. When arrived we were seated third row, asked the hostess right away if we would be able to sit in front where there were three empty tables. We were told by the hostess because we were only two people its reserved for bigger group and the others were reserved. From then our stay wasn't enjoyable anymore. When we finished 1.5 hours after, there was a table in front empty the whole time and two other couples were seated Good wine selections, good food ( wish more option tho) and service was okay, a bit slow for the amount of people dining.

Very disappointed with the food I was offered at this restaurant. I have a dairy allergy and expressed interest in the Salmon. When I told our waitress of my allergy she was clueless and said she would “check the syllabus” not even the kitchen if I could have the dish. She came back and asked if I was fine with butter… this made me lose my confidence some what but as she hadn’t offered any recommendations for alternative dishes I stuck with the salmon. It came with no sauce or dressing, 3 small asparagus and a few small potatoes. The waitress failed to mention that I wouldn’t be able to have about 75% of the meal. For $36 this was very disappointing. I won’t be returning for food here.

This is the third time I have decided to try this restaurant based on the review and the third time myself and friends and or family u am with have decided to turn around and go elsewhere because the greeter/hostess is so rude and unwelcoming. I have worked as a server for over 10 years and am incredibly understanding of the industry and pressures, however to be so unnecessarilu unkind is just not acceptable. Do not waste your time. There are so many other restaurants and wineries who provide the best service and offer great food and wine that actually want and deserve your business.

Beautiful view- excellent food, wine and dessert. The server was not at that nice though. I had booked a table for 3. We got a spot with pretty normal view and when i asked for a better spot, i heard that they have reservation for more than 90 people. When the table was available, we were not offered!

We had a reservation for an early dinner , we wanted 5pm but we were told that we would have to take 3:45 , which we did. When we arrived , the feel of the restaurant was like being in a messy cafeteria. There was no proper greeting , although there was a nice hello from a man as we walked into the building , a concierge at front desk . When walking to find a table , we walked by empty tables with dirty plates and glasses . The windows were dirty , it was pretty surprising. I was expecting a higher end establishment. When we were given menus , I took a quick look and noticed it was a breakfast/brunch menu …we were told that this was the menu , dinner started at 5. Why wouldn’t they tell us this when making the reservation? So we got up and left . We figured we would walk over to the wine tasting room, apparently there was food there . When we got to that hostess desk, the lady said, it was “ chicken wings with wine “ Seriously??? Wine tasting with hot spicy chicken wings ??? It was obvious that they really don’t have a clue on the wine and food industry… or it’s just very poor management. I would never recommend this place to anyone that appreciated wine and service…

We had a beautiful lunch on the patio. Weather was nice and food and service ( Many and Diane) was fantastic. I ordered the carrot and ginger soup. It was very good but I tasted my aunt’s prawn dish made with crusty delicious bread with seasoned prawns on top. One of the best things I have eaten in my life! So so good

We had a wonderful lunch here seated at a perfect table with a wonderful view. Started with a charcuterie board which was great. Discovered pickled garlic scapes on the board which we were able to find locally a few days later. So good. The Dream Catcher wine was recommended which we enjoyed so much we bought a few bottles. Only complaint was the time between our starter and main course. Best thing was the weather, the wine and the ambiance.

Enjoyed the Seasonal Salad, Cheese & Charcuterie and the Mer'R'Iym White Meritage for lunch on the outdoor patio. Everything was amazing and the meal proudly included many locally sourced ingredients. Fabulous views, food and outstanding friendly service. Nk'Mip Cellars is of the highlights of our annual trip to Osoyoos and we can't wait to return again next year.

Went for the wine tasting and after to the patio outside to see the view and take some pictures. Everything was great and staff was kind and friendly until we got to the patio. A woman from staff asked how she could help and out of the blue started to call my family’s attention and to step back and not walk further as they were walking towards the patio to check the view, just because some people were having “dinner”. I felt this suuuuuper disrespectful considering we were as much as a client than the people eating at the patio. Won’t come back!

We visited this restaurant after a wine tasting session at the wine cellar. We had corn bread, Manila clams, and turkey soup. The view is exquisite. The servers and the manager were so courteous and friendly. I was amazed with the presentation until I ate the food. The corn bread was ok as my husband can make a better one. It had two sauces: 1. Berry one was good. 2. The one with puréed sunflower seed, lime, maple syrup missed the mark. The texture was on the gritty and rough side. There were too many flavours conflicting with each other. A simplified version would be better with just whipped butter, garlic and herbs or whipped butter, lemon and herbs Simpler and good quality is better. Turkey soup was too salty- we couldn’t swallowed it down. Maybe it was too concentrated if the water was evaporated and just left to sit for a long time. Manila calms has a lot of sand and little rocks. Soaking the calms prior to cooking would prevent this. It was disappointing for a high end restaurant. But the people were amazing and the view was breathtaking.

New chef, new menu , serious disappointment. The old menu had so many interesting choices, this menu has four salads and some pizzas. We stayed for the view which was fantastic but the caprese salad used store bought tomatoes instead of locally farmed and the pizza was droopy and sloppy. Fried bannock for desert wasn’t even considered. $18.00 for a glass of wine was ridiculous! We drank water and shared a salad and a pizza and the bill was still $50.00! We’re locals and we know there are many better restaurants here, won’t be back.
