Twin brothers George and Gus Sahamis migrated from Greece to Canada in 1974, to pursue their dreams when they were just sixteen years of age. They brought with them a passion for quality and hospitality that started out as selling souvlakis and gyros to the local community and tourists in their hometown of Sparta, Greece. This became the benchmark of their success as they opened their first restaurant in 1982 in Abbotsford, turning a restaurant that was run down, into one of the most successful restaurants in Abbotsford. They continued opening successful restaurants in the Fraser Valley area. With two locations in Abbotsford and one in Chilliwack, Greek Islands Restaurants are known for their outstanding food quality, hospitality, professional service and atmosphere where people are treated like Greek Gods.
