The Smitty's restaurants are often a little spotty, however the one in Hinton is consistently good. It's a middle of the road diner, but it provides exactly what it is supposed to, good food and good value in a clean, bright environment.

We were given mouldy toast, the waitress apologized but didn't bring out new toast or apply any sort of discount. Everything else was decent but the mould ruined it. I'm concerned about the quality of the food in the back, so I won't be returning.

Servers are so courteous no matter how busy they are. They can make order to your specifications and all server are fully informed about the menu. Smiles always and warm greetings always.

Stopped here passing through to Edmonton. It was about 8:30pm amd we were hungry and not wanting fast food. The food was meh, greasy and gross. This is my second bad experience with this chain and I won't stop anymore no matter how hungry I am. I'll stop and get a bag of chips and a twinky risky diabetic coma... More

The food and the reception was not that good, Food was way over priced. Next time will go to A&W for better food preparation and value.

The usual comfort food restaurant. Good for small groups. Large groups (bus tours) tend to get pre assembled food and not hot when comes to table.

We visited on the way out of Jasper National Park and found the food and service superior and cheaper than restaurants in Jasper.A very helpful and pleasant waitress served us and we had the New York steak which was cooked just right. The vegetables were also excellent .Sweet potato fries were very tasty .We commented positively on the chef's cooking.Overall it... The restaurant was ok. We were seated by A very young man. Maybe 11 or 12 years old. He took our drink order and bussed tables. Seemed odd to have such a young person working. Our food was average and came pretty quickly. The place is ok if you are looking for a quick and average priced breakfast. Nothing great... More

We stopped here for breakfast when staying at a nearby motel, and enjoyed the food and service! Being a group of 15, we were accommodated fine, and everyone's needs were met. The pancakes are particularly recommended. The only surprise was when we asked for maple syrup, we were informed this wasnt stocked - perhaps due to cost.

It always heartens me that there are places like this left; a nice, homey place with the whole family working together. We had a great breakfast with fresh OJ, coffee and a ton of food (including fresh fruit) for about $100. Service was fast and friendly. A great little spot!
