Really enjoyed the ambience, service and flavors. Some kick to the spicing and enjoyed the nature of the menu (small and large plates). Fish cakes were particularly good and the complimentary chick pea noodles were addictive. Would definitely recommend!

I had heard of this restaurant for some time and had wanted to try it but never found the right circumstances. My husband and I like to try different restaurants and were really bored this past week for something to do so I suggest a drive to Canmore for lunch and booked a table for lunch. We were met with hand sanitizer and had a temperature checked. We wore our masks to the table but not during the meal. This was all OK with us. Tables around the perimeter are for 2 only and have very comfy library style chairs. It is bright and calming decor. Service was excellent. I ordered PEI mussels with green curry sauce. It came with a container of "kennebec" small fries. They were OK. I ordered bread for dipping in my leftover sauce and would have preferred the bread with the meal instead of the fries. Mussels were all open but quite small. Could be time of year?? Sauce was very tasty. My husband ordered the fish and chips and said the fish was good with a light batter. He also said fries were just OK. Homemade ketchup had a bit of a kick and tartar sauce was good. We order the Vietnamese chocolate coffee cake with condensed milk ice cream and expresso sauce. Very rich. I only had a few bites but my husband cleaned the plate. I really enjoyed the taste of the ice cream. Recommend for those that are looking for modern contemporary food variety but now that we've tried it, I doubt we will go back. A return trip is just not on the horizon when we can try others.

We made reservations for lunch just before nye. Good thing we did as it was packed, and for good reason. The food was delicious and service was quick. The restaurant had amazing views of the mountains and the servers were very friendly and helpful. Will be back again.

Pleasant atmosphere for a dinner date. A bit pricey but delicious plates - we had the meatball and grilled broccoli with blue cheese and maple dressing, with a linguini prawn main dish to share to top it off. Filling and tasty, with special kuddos on the grilled broccoli - creative preparation infused with flavour! Some nice drinks and excellent service. A bit slow on getting orders out but not a negative in my view when you're out to enjoy a meal and want to take your time.

After a long day of hiking we were pleasantly surprised by the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. We had a very cozy table by the window and our waitress was fantastic. The main entree prices were quite high (reason for not giving full *) but the sticky date pudding made it all worthwhile!

This place has made locals feel like they can still have a quality meal since covid. You have been a staple of our favorite places to eat for a few years and it's because how well you treat your customers. Everything is wonderful, service, drinks and food.

We had a great meal, with a great bottle of wine and great service. Our server, Luke, was friendly and knowledgeable - and busy, as the place was packed on a Thursday. We ordered the Mimetic Grenache blend from Spain that was superb, and at $55 one of the cheapest wines on their list (many are >$100.) We couldn't decide on food, and eventually chose 3 starters and one main; sharing everything. We had roast cauliflower, beef carpaccio, flatbreak with dukkah dip and maroccan lamb sirloin -- all fabulous, with sumptuous flavours, and certainly enough food for two. We even sneaked in a shared baked Alaska for dessert! We will undoubtedly be back!

Went with my girlfriend on a suggestion from a friend. The place itself is very nice and appointed well. Menu had the right amount of choices (not to few and not to many) we had a few apps to start with which were very good. Main I had the gnocchi which was also good but a little over oiled and defiantly was lacking more parsnips (had only 3 little pieces in it). Dessert was ok but not as good as the apps (dessert menu was lacking options).

Crazy Weed is never boring. My husband and I have eaten there on our (until Covid happened) annual visits from Ohio for a number of years, and we’ve always enjoyed our food. A lot. This visit was no exception. The greatest favor our server did for us was to recommend the Labneh appetizer. Now, if you look up “labneh” online, you’ll find it’s a Lebanese cheese based on strained yogurt. Well, yes, but this appetizer is so much more! As the menu states, the generous plate includes “honey roasted eggplant, golden raisins, walnuts, dill, mint, zaatar and lemon, served with warm flatbread to spread.” In this case, the whole is SO much more than the sum of its parts! We could have eaten this appetizer, drunk a couple of glasses of wine, and gone home incredibly happy (and not just because of the wine). Of course, we didn’t stop there, having the Thai chicken (a staple there) and a curry (don’t remember which), both of which were delightful, and followed it all with the sticky date pudding. All dishes were wonderful, and we finished nearly every bite. Also, our server, who was coping with an awful lot of tables (we all know the staffing problems these days in the hospitality field) was consistently pleasant and helpful, as well as very efficient. Kudos to her and the rest of the staff. My one criticism of Crazy Weed is that many tables have easy chairs instead of upright chairs, and these are, in many cases, too low and unsupportive to work well at the dinner table. It may look cute, but it’s really not a good choice from a the perspective of a diner’s comfort and convenience. At least not a diner of a certain age.

We are here last time as a family of four. Our two kids were 5 and 9 yrs old. We were warmly welcomed. It’s a cool trendy restaurant inside although bland on the outside. Food is excellent albeit pricey. I had the garlic prawn linguine which was expertly cooked and fresh flavours. Wife had tuna tartare and avocado which was delicious.

To be honest I never write reviews but felt I had to this time. The host was rude when we arrived. She looked annoyed because we were late however I had called to let them know and to make sure that was ok which they indicated was fine. Then we waited for over an hour for our food which is unacceptable! I honestly felt that because we were late they wanted to punish us and make us wait for the food. To top it off the food was not fine dining quality at all! We have been to a lot of fine dining restaurants and this was the most disappointing fine dining restaurant we have tried. Will never go back!

We had a very nice meal here. Service was a little slow in getting drinks and their Portuguese wine list only had one bottle available , so we needed to get a more expensive bottle which was a little annoying. The food was made to order and delicious. Every dish had a distinct flavor . All in all a nice relaxed spot , a little upscale .

We walked in 8.30 Sunday evening and were thrilled that we could get a table for 4 this late. They welcomed us in, however I think it may have been too late for them....we felt rather rushed. We shared dishes as was recommended and the server came around to clear peoples plates when two of us were still eating. A couple times.....it would have been nice to just enjoy the time we had there without feeling like the need hurry up and eat.

We came here on the recommendation of friends. We made a reservation. We had a small table for 2 by the window. Was nice. Our server was not the friendliest. He was very short, didn't wait around for any questions, basically blurted out the specials and when we would order something he'd say ok and turn around and leave. He kind of made us feel like we were annoying him. We ordered the fried halloumi for an appetizer and I had the pickle fried chicken and my husband had the burger with fries. The Bombay ketchup was delish. We took a butterscotch dessert home. It was basically butterscotch pudding. The wine I chose was delicious and my hubby found a new stout beer that he loved. An overall good experience, but not on my must see list for our next trip.

My wife and I chose this restaurant as part of our anniversary celebration trip based on so many recommendations and great reviews. We were not disappointed! We shared the forest rigatoni, baked haloumi, and beet salad, and all were so creative and delicious. The glass of white wine I had was very good too. Our server was so helpful and friendly, answering all our questions and aiding our dietary restrictions. My only mild complaint is the background music is a little loud. We will be back our next time in Canmore!
