Nice place to be with friends and family. Nice ambiance and good food. Nice entrees to share like ceviche and tartare. The Bavette is very good and cooked perfectly. Next time you are in Canmore make sure you stop. Bon appétit.

We had the best Pizza lunch Wonderful service in the heart of Canmore Excellent mocktail list Best to make a reservation
We had a very nice meal here. Service was a little slow in getting drinks and their Portuguese wine list only had one bottle available , so we needed to get a more expensive bottle which was a little annoying. The food was made to...order and delicious. Every dish had a distinct flavor . All in all a nice relaxed spot , a little upscale .More
It is a neat restaurant. Looked at old reviews, ect before ordering, and can tell they rotate the menu fairly often. Server was quite helpful with recommendations after letting him know some of our preferences. Food taste and presentation was excellent, and drinks were kept...flowing. Will return.More
Food- excellent! The Thai chicken was amazing. Service- excellent Atmosphere- Cozy and cool Price- expensive For a date night or special night out definitely check them out!
I generally don't like writing bad reviews, but after reading the multiple star reviews, we decided to give the restaurant a try on our first day in Canmore/ Alberta as part of a weeklong trip. The experience unfortunately left my group avoiding Canmore/ Canmore restaurants...for the remainder of our trip. Overall - Service from our server was average in some instances and below standard in others. - Service from other members - hostess and bus buy were good and friendly. - Food was slightly above average overall, some good, and some average. But no food is worth subpar service in my opinion. - If we had another server, or even the busser for the entire service, I think it could've easily been a 4 star review. ==== The Good - We didn't have a reservation on a Friday night and the hostess was kind enough to make room for a group of 4 after a 15 minute wait, which we appreciated. - It was slightly busy and while the hostess was not at the stand when I arrived a server informed me she would be right with me. - The steak and squash were good. One of the only highlights of the evening. - The Chef's Curry was average, a little light on the taste, okay for a member of our group, but I found it slightly towards the bland side. - Our water was refilled, by the busser who was friendlier. The Bad - Service from our server was like a rollercoaster - friendly in some instances and almost rude at other times. - While it was slightly busy, there were times when she should've checked on us, but didn't even after eye contact was made in comparison to many other restaurants. She wasn't busy enough to not check on other tables. - While we were discussing the menu and waiting to order (we waited quite a while for the server to come back after dropping off the menu), she rushed over, reached over a member of our group's arm and grabbed the cocktail menu without asking if we needed it or apologizing or saying anything and rushed off to drop the menu off to another table. - We waited longer and when she returned, she did not ask if we were ready, she did not greet us, we just told her our order while she wrote it down. - It was at this point when we decided to "gently" inform her of our displeasure by asking her for the cocktail menu and that we had some questions for her before she previously took it away. - Food came slowly with no indication or communication from our server. - After the food arrived, and after we gently informed our server of our displeasure, she did seem slightly friendlier. - When we asked about adding to our order later, our server indicated that it's a bit too late (kitchen closed), but added that she would check. She never came back to us after that with a response. We understand that it's late and the kitchen probably closed, but if she offered to check, then she should be returning to let us know. To be honest, I really wished I didn't give the amount of gratuity I did. I can't remember the last time I regretted my decision on the gratuity amount as much as I did later that night after I left the restaurant. It's left such a sour taste out our mouths that we ended up eating in Banff the next night and making our own food the night after. While it may be a single individual and a single incident, we lost our interest in staying, dining and exploring any other part of Canmore. If anyone asks me, the restaurant is definitely not one I would recommend and I regretted not picking another restaurant that night.More
Wonderful food and service. Meagan was the best server we had on our entire trip. Food was excellent from appetizers to dessert. Thanks for a great evening!
Pleasant atmosphere for a dinner date. A bit pricey but delicious plates - we had the meatball and grilled broccoli with blue cheese and maple dressing, with a linguini prawn main dish to share to top it off. Filling and tasty, with special kuddos on...the grilled broccoli - creative preparation infused with flavour! Some nice drinks and excellent service. A bit slow on getting orders out but not a negative in my view when you're out to enjoy a meal and want to take your time.More
Food was good. Very noisy. We waited a long time to receive our meal. Serveurs were very pleasant. Surprised to see corn served with carpaccio. Interesting though.
We are here last time as a family of four. Our two kids were 5 and 9 yrs old. We were warmly welcomed. It’s a cool trendy restaurant inside although bland on the outside. Food is excellent albeit pricey. I had the garlic prawn linguine...which was expertly cooked and fresh flavours. Wife had tuna tartare and avocado which was delicious.More
We were in Canmore for a week in Banff NP and ate out 5 nights. Crazy Weed was a last-minute decision. I called from my car and thankfully grabbed someone's cancellation. We dined on their cozy patio. Crazy Weed is conveniently located but off-line from...the hustle & bustle of downtown Canmore. Very tranquil with a staff that makes attentive service seem easy. The food is imaginative and extremely well executed. Love the "pickle brine fried chicken" small plate! A perfect portion for my wife's entree! Also, the tuna poke small plate. Then again, every dish was great! We almost went back for a second night but couldn't get in. Food & dinning highlight of the trip!More
To be honest I never write reviews but felt I had to this time. The host was rude when we arrived. She looked annoyed because we were late however I had called to let them know and to make sure that was ok which they...indicated was fine. Then we waited for over an hour for our food which is unacceptable! I honestly felt that because we were late they wanted to punish us and make us wait for the food. To top it off the food was not fine dining quality at all! We have been to a lot of fine dining restaurants and this was the most disappointing fine dining restaurant we have tried. Will never go back!More
Crazy Weed is never boring. My husband and I have eaten there on our (until Covid happened) annual visits from Ohio for a number of years, and we’ve always enjoyed our food. A lot. This visit was no exception. The greatest favor our server did...for us was to recommend the Labneh appetizer. Now, if you look up “labneh” online, you’ll find it’s a Lebanese cheese based on strained yogurt. Well, yes, but this appetizer is so much more! As the menu states, the generous plate includes “honey roasted eggplant, golden raisins, walnuts, dill, mint, zaatar and lemon, served with warm flatbread to spread.” In this case, the whole is SO much more than the sum of its parts! We could have eaten this appetizer, drunk a couple of glasses of wine, and gone home incredibly happy (and not just because of the wine). Of course, we didn’t stop there, having the Thai chicken (a staple there) and a curry (don’t remember which), both of which were delightful, and followed it all with the sticky date pudding. All dishes were wonderful, and we finished nearly every bite. Also, our server, who was coping with an awful lot of tables (we all know the staffing problems these days in the hospitality field) was consistently pleasant and helpful, as well as very efficient. Kudos to her and the rest of the staff. My one criticism of Crazy Weed is that many tables have easy chairs instead of upright chairs, and these are, in many cases, too low and unsupportive to work well at the dinner table. It may look cute, but it’s really not a good choice from a the perspective of a diner’s comfort and convenience. At least not a diner of a certain age.More
Even though bar service was a little slower than I personally like, the food was over the top! There was more than 10 of us and everyone raved how delicious the food was.
Hands down the best chicken I’ve ever ate in my life, and I was with friends who typically only ever eat steak and always pass on chicken.. not this time. The pickle brine fried chicken, man! The dessert was fantastic as well. Highly recommend for...a nice dinner out.More
