10/10 for the quality of food, service and atmosphere. I recommend this restaurant to all sushi lovers! I have been to over 30 different sushi restaurants and this one remains unmatched to this day.
For more details about this experience, please read my detailed experience as well as the reason for this 10/10.
This restaurant was recommended to us by good friends, who are also sushi fans. We arrive at the venue (a reservation had been made) and the very kind staff welcome us with a smile. They direct us to our table where a charming decor awaits us. As soon as we are seated, the waiter comes and introduces himself with a big smile!
We proceeded as usual, ordering the 6-7 types of sushi that seemed the most interesting to us. It was only once the order was placed that the magic began. Dan, our server for the evening, added EXTRAORDINARY value to our experience by bringing certain sushi one plate at a time. As soon as they brought us the Poseidon (first order of sushi that the latter saw fit to start with) he explained to us which assortments he recommended the sushi with. Each time, his advice was spot on and the sushi was just incredible! He served us 5 courses, the first 4 containing special sushi and the last platter the more classic sushi. A sauce for every type of sushi, a priority of the best sushi arrangements and a unique, yet divine taste in EVERY bite.
Honestly, even the avocado sushi (very basic sushi) was of excellent quality. Seaweed that is so soft, so light and does NOT roll in the mouth has changed my perception of seaweed.
The price was rather expensive, but rather than going to two all you can eat sushi or two regular sushi restaurant, I definitely recommend prioritizing this restaurant because the taste is 10 times better than most sushi restaurants we have eaten at. (Do your calculations, but personally when I count, 1.5 to 2 times more expensive than a normal sushi restaurant or unlimited sushi VS 10 times better… the quality is frankly there!
IN SUMMARY :
- Incredible service that takes us on a journey through the world of flavors
- Sushi with exquisite tastes
- A quality/price ratio that is really worth it (the quality of the raw fish is simply incomparable)
- A decor that will make your better half fall in love
PS: if you are lucky enough to have Dan as a server, you really won't regret it!

I chose Niji Sushi Bar as the spot for our first date because it was highly recommended and we ended up falling in love later that night. The service is impeccable (I made a special request through the site that was accommodated), the décor is enchanting and the food, which IS exquisite, decorates the evening perfectly.

The food was very good! The only downside is the service. On arrival the young man was not very smiling but that can happen! Then the waitress was quite expeditious, so much so that she didn't understand my order. So while my friend had her dish I had to wait for mine! For a first time a little disappointed I expected more from this restaurant

Fried ice cream was hard and cold (should be warm on the outside since it’s fried)
Niji salad was terrible super small and not good. We returned it for a regular salad wich had nothing special at all, but was good.
Then we waited forever for our sushi. Waiter never came to see us to refill water or tell us it was coming. 1h30 minutes later (since time of arrival) we asked if it was coming and they said 15-20 more minutes so we paid and left. Very disappointing I would not recommend.

We have a gift certificate for this restaurant, issued by this specific restaurant. Months ago we tried to use it, and they refused. We tried again this month, and once again they refused. They states that it's valid for dine-in only.
First, when purchased, this was never relayed to us. Second, it doesn't state so on their gift certificate. Third, we're in the midst of a pandemic. The dining room is not open and might not be open for a long time. How is that fair to us?
I cannot deny that the food is good. I cannot deny that the wait staff is good. But saying "sorry, management won't take the gift certificate for take out" during a pandemic is truly sad. It's not as though we have the option to dine in.
Every other restaurant where we had gift cards took them .. each one with a smile on their face. Respect is a two way street. Reputation matters.
We will not soon forget how people handled customers in 2020.

A table d’hôte that does not respect what is written , the team in the kitchen leaves something to be desired
Starter: shrimp, cauliflower and miso butter without sauce and dry
Main course:5 scallops without asparagus, very liquid celery puree gargantuan portion of rice
Dessert: excellent truffles unfortunately a Yuzu cream so small that you can not trace the taste and sloppy presentation
Except the invoice is not
Lots of staff circulating but very slow service
The only one who deserves 5 stars Dave the impeccable waiter
It’s up to you to judge accuracy by my photos

Lovely decor and friendly staff at this gem of a Japanese restaurant. Niji’s specialty rolls were all excellent. We tried the Hot Kiss, South Beach, Kani King and Larmes de joies.

I tried the Niji roll and sake. It was made in front of me, and the server explained that Niji stands for rainbow, because this roll is 8 pieces, each with a different fish and flavor (tuna, salmon, etc)

This restaurant is very nice, we made a reservation via internet and we did not have to wait for the table. We selected the table d’hôte and the price was quite good for what we eaten. Appetizer (sea food on rice crackers,) main course (sushi and maki and sashimi) dessert was ice cream or white chocolate mouse. We will go back again.

After a 2 and a half hour wait....for the price, the quality just isn't worth it, my usual little sushi spot wins without even trying, do yourself a favor save your money try another place!!

I met up with a friend and decided to go to this restaurant. It was quiet as we were early and it was on a Monday. But when we left the restaurant around 19;45 people were still coming in. The service was professional and courteous. The sushi was great and they had a special on oysters and they were fabulously served with a mignonette to die for. We enjoyed our early evening and we will return.

We have been there a couple of times and the food is always great, especially their sushi’s foie gras (a must to try). However, pretty disappointing service... too long to receive our main dish (over an hour). Must improve!

We stopped here because it was close to our hotel and we love sushi. The food was good but took a while to get. The atmosphere was nice, prices were to high for me, but I think a lot of people like these kind of restaurants.
